We had a great stay at Banana Bay Resort! We came down for a Birthday Celebration and the 7 Mile Bridge Offshore Grand Prix in which our stay was close by!

My husband and I had a change of plans when it came close to our 1yr anniversary so we hopped online last minute and found this resort for an amazing price & snagged it for a few days and we loved it! Location is everything and it was only 1hr from Key West! I had no idea that it was close to the best seafood in the keys! The coolest kayaking is nearby also! The grounds were clean and there was plenty of things to do there including a huge chess board and a volleyball net! My favorite part of the resort was the point! They have hammocks with the strands of lights wrapped around the palm trees which gave it a magical vibe, not to mention the drinks at the bar are AMAZING! We’ve already talked about coming back in a few months and bringing the kids! This resort is pet friendly! I didn’t go to the pool or hot tub but we took a look and it was cute! The only thing I would change is the breakfast BUT for the price we got it for, I was happy with the quick choices! The room was clean and the staff was super nice! There’s also a GREAT coffee store about 4 miles north! It’s a 10/10 experience for me!

The resort was comfortable. The resort could a little more attention to detail on cleanliness. The staff was very polite and respectful. The grounds needs a a lot of work as well.

check in was at 4 but the room were not ready until 4:50. The lady in the reception wre not very helpful. Also the place could do with a fresh up. Looks old.

Arrived, told our room had broken AC so had to use another room with airbed for 1 night, not ideal but these things happen. Said we’d take the room with no AC but told not an option. When we got to our block the room we should have been in was being used by a family as they were sat on it with swimwear drying on railings - aircon wasn’t broke we’d been double booked & lied to. Our captivating view was the car park. Pointe bar: what a dump, cushions either missing or dirty. Fridge broken, chap said no stock, only draught beer, 1 can of warm diet coke & some iced lemonade! A bin bag was delivered & told it was airbed presumed someone would be back to make the bed up. Nope we had to do it. Next morning at breakfast we were handed 4 boxes, we went into a soulless room & opened them to find a wet soggy muffin, frozen cheese omelette, yogurt & bagel with orange juice. Asked about room, told an OV was available, took our number & said we could move at 12. Hadn’t heard by 3:30 so went back & abruptly told no OV room available but original was I expressed my dissatisfaction in experience so far at nearly £300pn I felt was just poor value & was told “all resort fees waivered” which is nice but not addressing any issues. Our room 315 the room was spacious & clean. Pool is filthy it's that bad people have written their names in the dirt. The jacuzzi is dirty. Pool bar wasn’t open in the 4 nights we stayed. Grounds are unkept, no maintenance, broken borders, uneven patio, poor impression.

The room was very nice. But it was not ready when wet got there. They charge a daily resort fee that is supposed to include housekeeping. Our room was not cleaned and even when we did ask for it to be cleaned it was not. We had to chase down someone to receive fresh towels and washcloths. One day they did come in and make the bed and took the dirty towels but didn't leave fresh and didn't take any of the dirty washcloths or handtowels. While the room was nice the resort itself is in need of attention. Many of the chairs around the pool have tears in them. We will not be back.

Plenty of hot water, pool was very nice, beds were comfortable. My biggest complaint was the resort fee. A daily fee to use the amenities at the resort should simply be part of the nightly rental cost (note: we arrived late in the evening and stayed one night - not exactly time to utilize all those amenities). Advertised that breakfast was included - they failed to mention that only two boxed breakfasts are provided per room (had booked a room for four people).

The resort is billed as tranquility and relaxation, and lives up to the hype. All except for one night when the people staying next to us partied all night long until the sun came up! The manager however made things right for us. The pool is nice and warm. The jacuzzi is heavenly. Staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all it was a very pleasurable stay.

I liked that the bed was comfortable. However, there is no water pressure. You can either get extremely scorching hot water or very little cold water and the room was humid all night and very hot. I was very disappointed. I told the manager that I rented the room through Expedia And that I already had paid for the room and she still charged me for the resort fee which I thought was very unfair when we checked in at 8 o’clock and we left at 10 o’clock in the morning. The manager said I should’ve called it in to complain about the air conditioning and the water pressure however, we were trying to sleep. We were very exhausted and did not want any people coming in and out, she still did not agree and said it was under control of hers to remove and not charge me for the resort fee. I will not recommend this hotel nor will I stay there again.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Banana Bay! The staff was very friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean. Staff made it very easy for us when we decided to extend our vacation and made sure we got a good price on the extra night!

The location is perfect. Marina is nice but the ramp is not really usable. Pool is very nice and heated. Property needs updated and staff need to clean the rooms. You only get two boxed breakfast a day and have you have more in your room, they get only dry cereal or oatmeal. Price was high and the resort fee is $48 a day on top of daily rate. Pool bar and point bar wasn’t even open on New Years Eve. Overall not real happy! The one girl at front desk is great and the dock master great.

Super nice very large size pool from 5-9" kept at warm temperature for a relaxing swim or just hanging out in the pool. Good size rooms that are maintained very neatly, including a nice modern looking bathroom to make the stay comfortable.

No one came to clean our room, even when we called and requested it the 3rd day. There’s debris all over the property and staff isn’t helpful. It’s not as nice as it has been in previous stays. The pool is nice and big and the pier is nice for fishing but we will try somewhere else next time.

I stayed 5 nights at Banana Bay with my best friend for a relaxing, self-care vacation. Banana Bay served this purpose for us. It has a somewhat rustic, laid-back feel which we loved. The staff were professional and friendly, even in the face of crabby guests with negative attitudes. The pool and hot tub area were big with lots of space for folks to spread out. The tiki bar bartender was friendly and created drinks close to what we wanted, even if she didn't have the ingredients for exactly what we desired. Our garden view balcony provided natural entertainment as we ate breakfast observing several iguanas climbing the trees near us. The breakfast is just as presented on the website; it's simple, but was really nice to have so we could sleep in as late as we wanted and still go pick up a box by 10am. Considering the high prices at local restaurants, we didn't have to spend more or get dressed and leave the resort early to find food. The resort let us take their bikes to Sombrero Beach for the afternoon, which we enjoyed that easy bike ride. The only disappointment was we believed the resort would have its own kayaks/paddle boards to use based upon the web site marketing. The dock master informed us the contractor who used to provide this service needed more business/profit and moved to another location. So if you want to kayak/paddle board, you will have to rent one and have it delivered to the resort or go kayaking at another park or business.

We enjoyed staying at the Banana Bay Resort Marina especially loved the view at the point, and from my room,. However, the grounds were old and not maintained, my room was overlooking a grassy area, which looked old and dry. Where is possibly there might’ve been something before. . But people spent an hour using leaf blowers all over the parking lot while I was trying to enjoy the pool. It was extremely loud and annoying. Also, the hot tub was dirty, so we were unable to use it. The pool was nice.

One day they didn’t removed trash from the room. Next day the trash’s cans were overflowing and smelled. That was only one complaint what I have. The room was clean and the place was great. I like location, just halfway to Key West.

Nice property. Loved the room and pool. We were there on a Tuesday and Wednesday so the pool bar wasn't open, other than that we loved everything about the property. They even have bikes and fishing rods you can use for free!

I’ll start with the positive, The room was beautiful and clean. When we go on vacation We look for fun , great amenities and beautiful grounds to hang out and on line they had it all but once we got there the grounds were terrible and a mess!! The restaurant/bar wasn’t even open. The pool and hot tub had no staff and young kids running everywhere until late at night. So disappointing because it wasn’t cheap!
