Place is clean. Little out dated but looks like they are trying to make improvements. Convenient location. Check in was easy, but the owner i believe working the front counter isn't very talkative or welcomeing. Needs to greet people with hospitality. The hotel door locked but had alot of play in it, would more than likely stay again but dont plan too. Little pricey for the stay but what isn't anymore.

Our double queen room was spotless. Plenty towels, soap/lotion/shampoo dispensers. A small table would’ve been nice to have, since a fridge and small microwave were provided. Room staff very helpful. Entry door seal needed replacement, allowing excess outside noise, though. Would consider booking there again.

The room was freezing. I asked for extra blankets, as my daughter and I were sharing the room. They only gave me one. I asked for a second. After turning the heat up, we were still freezing. I called back to ask for blankets, they said they would only give us two extra per room. I am so fustrated I chose this awful place … I don’t know how they have 8 stars!! Never again!!!!

The staff were friendly and check in was simple. But they keep the lobby door locked so you have to call to be let in. The worst part was we found bedbugs!

When I booked, it said that my card would not be charged until check in. I had planned on using a different card than the one I used to reserve the room. When I got there and presented the front desk person with my preferred form of payment, he said that they already charged my card 2 days before. He then proceeded to argue with me and refused to refund my card and run the other one. He said the reserve now pay later was an Expedia thing and he did not have to honor it. I was quite irritated.

The TV, phone and lamp were not in working condition. The guests next door were very loud after midnight but we have no way to reach the front desk.

Rooms were clean and met our needs. We stayed on 2 legs of our trip and both times there were no issues. Very close to restaurants and motorcycle friendly.

The staff was very nice, and the rooms were basic but clean. We just needed a place to crash while we were visiting cedar point. This was perfect as it was affordable and was only 5 minutes away from the park.

Hotel staff barely spoke two words to me but the room was clean and comfortable. It was a little strange that we couldn’t access the hotel lobby from our hallway and had to go outside but the area was quiet and the price was right. It’s an older hotel for sure and could use some updating but I would stay again.

Location is great, rooms were nice only complaint is the breakfast (my party doesnt eat pancakes) my plain bagel choice was almost stale, get rid of hostess donuts and cheap treats and add eggs and bacon or sausage for a perfect review.

Southshore Inn is a great choice when visiting Cedar Point. It's located just outside the entrance to the park. The Inn was very clean and comfortable. Fridge, microwave, bright vanity, great shower pressure, comfortable beds w/ three pillows each. We didn't eat the breakfast and the pool was closed for the season, so I can't rate those things.

Not much to.like about the property. Stayed for 2 days room never cleaned, blood and bugs in the tub, no soap in the dispenser. Lights flickered when they worked. Was not a very clean establishment and not worth the money they charge.

Very clean rooms! Nice pool and hot tub . Good breakfast. Very close to Cedar Point. Nice garden area, with picnic tables. Looks like more improvements coming.

It was close to Ceader Point. We stayed on business side of hotel outside door lock didn't work no cameras on that side.We also had to walk out side of hotel to get ice at front desk & to get breakfast..

This hotel.was booked as a second choice and definitely should have been our first choice. The staff was friendly and accomidating and the room met our needs being a large family. The pool was wonderful as well as the hot tub. Thank you for a great stay.

It was the only option for a hotel. I would not choose it again. The door had just the one bolt lock and being on the first floor made my family feel unsafe. The shower was so hard to to get working. It was either hot hot or cold.

Pool/ Hot tub / swings and free breakfast made it a perfect place to stay with kids. Staff was super friendly and accomadating! Super close to all the tourist attractions.
