I had to leave because I felt in danger with someone staying there kept watching me while I was in my car and in the hotel I didn’t stay there I had to leave

It was a good stay

The roof was dirty. There were no towels in the roof and guest services could not provide them since there were none available. Maintenance showed up at 9:00am knocking on door to replace A/C and housekeeping knocked several times even though I had a do not disturb sign on the door. I would not stay here again.

I made the reservation 2 months in advance of our trip knowing that it's very hard to find a reservation in the area surrounding the Alabama/LSU game. Late game and after game traffic made us arrive closer to 12:30am. We were SO tired and ready for a good night's sleep. We arrived only to find our reservation was given away and the hotel was booked up, as well as every other decent hotel in the area!! I called Hotels.com and they were very dilegent in trying to help me, but there wasn't a room to be had anywhere close. I highly recommend Hotels.com because they went to bat for me, but we ended up just driving all the way home that night since there were no rooms available.
This was a birthday trip for my husband, and it really was very disappointing.

Arrived to the hotel at midnight to be told our reservation was cancelled. I contacted hotels.com and they said it was not cancelled on their end. They tried contacting the hotel and the hotel said there’s no vacancies and nothing can be done. We had no choice but to drive the 2 hours home after the game in Tuscaloosa. I had booked this hotel back in June knowing prices would go high and got a great rate, the hotel decided to cancel me 3 days before and not inform me of the cancellation. Do not book here for game day stays!

Dishonest staff and my reservation was not honored. We checked in late Saturday night 11/4 as planned after a night football game, and the clerk claimed I had canceled reservation on 10/25 and they had no rooms. I told her we had not canceled and in fact we had received an email from hotel on 10/31 stating that everything was all set for our stay and they were looking forward to seeing us. She said the reservation was canceled and there was nothing she could do because we had booked on hotels.com. Called hotels.com who said our reservation was still active and not canceled, and implied Clark was lying. So essentially, the hotel did not honor our reservation which was made one month ago and gave our room to someone else and then lied by saying we had canceled. And offered to further help. Will never stay at this hotel or other Red Roofs again. We eventually found a room elsewhere two hours away.

Room did not smell good at all, it was very damp in the room. something red and dried splattered on the wall.

This is a bare-bones facility. No hairdryer in the rooms, etc. The guy working the front desk was so hard to understand that it took 20 minutes before I could understand if they had a reservation for me, or not.

Had a hard check-in due to slow computer but our stay was good.

The clerk at check in was not overly friendly and her customer service was not great. The room was clean. It was what you would expect for what you're paying. However it had containers for toiletries on the wall that they don't bother to check apparently because there was hardly any soap. And the door didnt fit well, I could see the hallway light through the side which should have been sealed. That was concerning for a woman staying by herself. I gave it a rating of okay. Not bad, but not good.

Issues with credit card reader - staff made it look like it was my fault, I did not appreciate that. Manual entry of credit card number worked fine which should be proof that nothing was wrong with my AMEX CC.
That's not good customer service, this might be a reason not to use this hotel again even though it is cheaper than others.

The hotel reeked of smoke. The floors in our room were very dirty, to the point you could not walk around barefoot. The website advertised a business center but there was not one. The tub and sink in our room were cracked and there was not stopper for the tub.

First of all, I didnt know we had to put a100 dollars deposit down while checking in. The guy did tell us itwill be returned after the room was ceck after our departure.
I've stayed at Comfort Inn and others but never had to put any deposit down
I will be checking my credit card this week to see if it's put back on there.
Those beds weren't queen size they were more like full size and they were uncomfortable. The first night was quiet but the next night the people next to us that checked in that evening were too loud.
We did not sleep too well that night and we had a long drive the next morning.

I always get a room here when I come to Alabama to visit my fiancé . It’s some times a lil to noisey for me tho I wish the people on the second and third floor would sleep other than that I love my stay every time

The bedding had stains the pillows were flat and the room smelt damp. The back door entrance was broken so another door by stairs was ajar for anyone to enter.

The staff was wonderful. The room was great. Hallways and lobby were very inviting. No breakfast and the pool is closed for refurbishment

Very disappointing stay. Uncomfortable bed and pillows. No toliet paper or hairdryer in bathroom. Appeared rundown. Unfriendly and unprofessional front desk staff. Housekeeper came at 9 am to vlean toom, check out isn't untill 11. Will not stay here again.

Facility was clean and well maintained. Very spartan. The cleaning woman went up and down the hall for ours banging on doors and screaming "housekeeping". I put the 'do not disturb' sign on my door and she banged and screamed at it anyway.

I booked a first stay on hotels.com and that stay was decent except my key stopped working multiple times. I booked a second stay on the Red roof website a whole week in advance, which they offer a discount if you're a member and book early. When I arrived, they claimed they didn't have the type of room that I booked available and only had premium rooms which would cost $100 more than what I reserved!!!! After checking in, I went online to see that the type of room I reserved was still available that same day at a higher cost than what it was when I booked the week before. So they claim they don't have rooms so that they can charge you the higher price!!!!! And the premium room looked the same, minus a different desk, as the other rooms!!!! Shower curtain and towels were disgusting and stained. The trash from the previous guest had not been taken out. The “premium snack bar” they advertise in the premium room was two packs of coffee. For check out, I stood at the desk and no one came. I called while standing at the desk and no one came so I just threw the keys over the desk! Just pay extra and avoid the hassle! It’s not nearly worth the prices they charge!

I had booked my room 2 days in advanced.
Got there to check in , and the guy at the counter told me they didn’t have the room I had reserved available.
So he found me another room and charged me more than I was going to pay for a better room I originally reserved.

My reservation was a 2 king bed room. The guy at the front desk was rude and he told me they only have 2 rooms with 2 king beds and it was occupied. He switch to a 2 queen beds room for the same price.

After spending hours in the car and receiving a confirmation number, we went to check in to our rooms and upon arriving told us they didnt have the rooms we wanted. Theh claimed they send us an email explaining they didnt have the rooms we requested. Quickly dismissed us and didnt offer an explanation on the confusion or why we didnt receive a message. After walking out I received a request to leave a review on how the check in process went, which never occured. Then the following day, I was asked to review the hotel, that I never stayed in. So communication was poor and we were never given a clear reason or email on why we had a confirmation but no rooms and quicky dismissed.

There is no breakfast offered. The room did not smell fresh. There was dirt on the floor as if the room had not been cleaned well. This was a quick turn around visit and due to the prices been extremely high at near by hotels we stayed here. The pictures on the internet made it look cleaner. This is not the normal type of property we would stay at and will not again. The area looked as though it may have been a hang out spot of hook up spot.

The door didn't lock- maintenance said the key part on the outside locked the door. phone in room didn't work- maintenance said none of the phone worked in the hotel. window was broken- maintenance said just broken on the inside pane and that it was a double pane window.
cops patrol parking lot every half hour was the comment by the lady at the desk.
I wouldn't stay at this place by myself (as a female) or with my children. NOT the safest area or hotel in the area...keep driving!

The hotel smelled like the inside of a convenience store and the heat/AC would not stay in. Very hard mattress and pillows I booked 2 months ago using Hotels.com and they could not find my reservation # even when I showed them the confirmation email however they were kind enough to find a last minute room. Definitely will not stay here again.
