I’ve stayed at this hotel two years and I am always impressed with the quality of the hotel, the staff are amazing and accommodating. My rooms have always exceeded my expectations! I will always recommend this hotel for anyone traveling! Great job!

Our stay was good. Only issue was the hideaway bed was not clean. The last person in it had a pop tart and the sheets were dirty.

We stayed he a number if years ago and it was wonderful. No repairs have been done since or maintenances. Very rough condition, carpets filthy and kind of disgusting. Would not stay again. The bed was very comfotable.

The carpet in the room was sticky. There was hair in the shower. There was a used bath towel behind the bath room door. They allow pets. No microwave or refrig.

We were quite disappointed actually. The manager was very nice but when I checked in for the two rooms I had reserved, he was very vague about how to best reach our rooms on the third floor. However, it was obvious why!! Our rooms were on the third floor and the elevator wasn’t working so we had to climb three floors of two sets of steps with our luggage and such. He could’ve been polite and told me that the only elevator was not working there. It compounded the problem that we are four elderly widow women all in our 70’s and one of the ladies was having a an issue with a severe cut on her leg that was in a soft cast and a steel boot on her that leg. Had we been staying more than one night we would’ve left.
It seems when there’s a complaint about a hotel since I have been using Hotels.com.nothing is ever done. When you make a complaint or concern why doesn’t Hotels.com contact me or even attempt to do some type of compensation? I will give Hotels.com another six months of use. If we continue to have issues, I will stop using Hotels.com, and I certainly won’t recommend anyone signing up for it.
This was totally uncalled for. The manager was very nice, but next time be honest up front.

Room had a bad smell. No lamps - so lightening wasn’t good. Mold in shower and under show handicapped bench.

Our stay was good. There was a big sticky spot on the carpet beside the bed that had not been cleaned. It was lightly cleaned the bathroom could have been better. But overall good.

The staff is very helpful and the room was clean. But the heat went out after I got to sleep I woke up to use the bathroom and the room was cold nothing but cold air was coming out of the heater and the phone was not working so I had to get dressed and go to the desk and ask for help. The man who was working that night was very helpful and did what he could do I asked if there was any room I could move to he said that they were full so then I had to sleep in my clothes the room was cold and the outside temperature was 31 degrees.

We enjoyed our stay however there were a few little things wrong with the room. I advised the guy on the desk at 0400 today. The shower curtain bar is broken at the wall connection which causes the shower curtain to leak water all over the floor. The water faucet in the shower is defective (loose) which makes getting the right temp difficult. As well, the tv remote could not control the volume or the mute or the off button. Little things like this put a tarnish on a nice hotel!

Hotel felt dingy dirty. No towels in room, no tissues in bath. Worst of all was finding bed bugs at 2 am!!! Left immediatly!

I was on my way to Mrytle beach for my sons baseball tourney drove from jamestown ny to beckley wv where i got a room we got in checked in elevator was out of service we walked up to room 311 as we open the hall door it smelled like someone pooped in the hall way. We saw a worker that was working in the room that the smell was coming from, we got to out room open the door and no linens for the pull out couch the kids went down and asked for pillows and linens they were out of pillows and got some linens that had human poop marks on them i go to shower and they had also grabbed towels when they went down the towel that i almost used also had poop on it told the person at the front desk and no answer it was so discusting that we didn’t even eat breakfast in the morning just hit the road never again i would like some of my money back never have i delt with such discusting hotel

We originally had on our reservation 3:00am check in. We drove for hours, I called at 3:20 told them we would arrive in 45 minutes the girl said ok. We got there and they SOLD our room at midnight!!!!! She told us!! No help in finding room at another hotel!! Then 3 days later they charged us for the room.

When we arrived for our 3 nights stay, the clerk was extremely rude. I prepaid when I reserved the room. She kept saying that I didnt pay. I had to show on my phone my receipt. Then she stated that the door key machine was working and we would have to leave the door open when we leave. We werent leaving until morning and the machine was being replaced in the morning.
Our room was supposed to have a fridge. It didnt. I asked about it and was told to use the ice machine. There was a big brown spot on the floor between the beds.
The next morning, I went to talk to the manager Jim. He didnt even know which room we were in. He moved us to another room. The key card didnt work and when it did work we walked into an occuplied room. He had know idea where the night clerk placed everyone. Jim gave us cards for another room and they didnt work.
We eventually got into a room where the key cards worked. The room was decent. Except the toilet didnt work properly. And of course we didnt discover this until the middle of the night.
I complained about the toilet the next morning as we were leaving for appointment. When we returned, it was fixed.
In all, it was one thing after another at the hotel. I would not stay there again.

On the day of arrival and departure, the card readers were not working and had to be let back in my room by the gracious front desk personnel each time I left and returned. I was told that the card readers were down for the past 3 days. Also, the carpets were mostly very worn out throughout the hotel. People were nice and the room was wonderful.

We stopped here for a brief overnight on our way to Florida. Very comfortable hotel with clean facilities and a nice breakfast included. Front staff were lovely, and very welcoming. Would stop here again if it is on our way.

This property is in dire need of a complete update. From the condition of the elevator, hallway carpet and then our room, which was disgusting. Sheets had stains, walls had been patched from damage but you could tell where they tried to match paint. Door to room was damaged at the bottom. TV was crooked and on top of the armoire. Room was for 2 people but only 1 chair available at desk. Walls & ceiling were so thin, you could hear other guests talking and walking above our room. Breakfast was supposed to be ready at 6:30. Staff was still setting it up at 6:50 am. Chairs in lobby area were still sitting on top of tables the whole time we were there. Should have been refunded for such a terrible experience.

We pulled back the covers and the sheets on the bed were were covered in stains. We went down to the front desk to request a new room. The new room had stained pillow cases. We covered the pillows with towels and slept in our clothes/coats on top of the bed since it was too late at night to switch hotels.

This is not a 7/10 hotel. Beds and towels have been replaced but everything else was very dirty, worn and in disrepair. Couldn’t even touch the light switch. Toilet seat didn’t stay on. We only needed a place to sleep for the night, to break up a long drive. Non smoking hotel but the room was terrible with cigarette smoke. Even my clean clothes from out of the suitcase picked up the odor in one night. Pay a few more bucks and stay somewhere else.

When arriving the nice lady at the front desk could not find a vacant room for me or the family waiting behind me to check in. I had called earlier in the night to inform the hotel I would be checking in later than expected. All rooms that were listed as empty and reserved for registered guest were occupied by unregistered, unpaid, guest. It was 2:00 AM and took 3 hours before I was given access to room 312, 320, 119, and settled in room 122 that was not supposed to be rented due to maintenance. Housekeeping knocked at the door around 7:30 confused that there was someone occupying the room. I was not given a receipt as I had requested when checking out. I was asked to explain the details of my check in because the lady working the front desk could not find where I had checked in or paid and explained that she had received calls concerning the occupied rooms with no names attached to them. She explained that guest were given permission and keys to stay in the hotel for free and that was the reason there was a shortage of rooms for guest like myself, and the Smith family of four, waiting behind me that had reserved a room on Hotels.com. I had the room for a total of 5 hours and could not get a receipt. I was advised to call Corporate and inform them of the situation.

We had to wait forever to check in. Lady behind the desk was overwelmed and scatter brained. Hotel smells like WEED everywhere. My room has holes in the bathroom door, the bathroom is split open, looks like something was pulled off the wall in the bathroom because the paint is peeling above the sink. There is NO refridgerator or microwave in the room. Just overall not a good experience. To the point that I am booked the entire weekend and want nothing more then to change hotels immediately. Do not consider this hotel when booking in the Beckley area. Saving a few bucks is not worth it.

Don't stay at this property!!! It isn't clean and certainly didn't live up to my expectations of a Microtel property. We had to change rooms 3 times before we found one that we could even think about staying in. The bathroom was dirty and the toilet seat was painted with flecks of paint sticking to you when you sat on it. The microwave handle was broken off and the TV didn't work. But most importantly, the room was NOT CLEAN!!!

The room i paid for was not availability and i had to downgrade to a smaller room. Even though i already paid for my room in advance. Noone ever cleaned to room during our stay

We just needed a place to sleep overnight on the way to SC. The beds were very comfortable! However, the elevator and other areas of the hotel smelled like smoke despite it being a non smoking hotel. The pool was warm but looked like everything was under construction or just needed to be updated badly. I don’t get in the pool because it looked cloudy. The room we stayed in was ok…very basic and needed updating. But, we all slept very well on the comfortable beds and they have waffles for breakfast along with yogurt, cereal, and fruit.

Our room smelled so bad like weed smoke we had to sleep with the window open. The window is full of black mold and gunk. Cigarette burn in the comforter.

Very nice receptionist, BUT the rooms were badly in need of repair and remodeling.
The room that I had was without a blanket, only sheets on the bed, and I slept with my clothes on.

Hotel is old and run down. However bed was very comfortable, and location, right next to highway, was convenient for travel. We didn't stay for the breakfast as we left too early.

While it was a quick weekend get away and it served it purpose of a bed for the night it was disappointing on many levels. The rooms appeared clean and didn’t smell, but we did find hairs on the bath towels which was gross. This is not a 100% smoke free hotel, at one point smoking was allowed because the second floor hallway reeked of smoke. The continental breakfast was a joke. No tea, toast, pastries or yogurt. It was a basic coffee, plain bagel, apple and waffle. Overall disappointing.
