Great selection of breakfast and friendly staff. Only issue was that my rooms air conditioning blown warm air out when set to cold and the paint on the walls needs addressing as it is all chipped. Staff did provide a fan, as the room was 25 degrees at one point.

Well located hotel within walking distance of town centre.
Accommodation fine and breakfast included which was welcome. Would use again . Only gripe is the car parking. Hotel details need to be transparent that car parking is available but in NCP next door and at additional charge. Please be clear on this point.

We had a lovely stay, the staff were friendly, it was clean, great location, great breakfast just a shame that the only time families can access the pool is in the afternoon and there is no morning sessions!

I didn't realise the pool wasn't accessible at all times so unfortunately we weren't able to access this facility

Enjoyed hotel was central & clean. Unfortunately the heat within the hotel bedroom and everywhere inside was stiffling & on times unbearable. As there was 3 adults in the room the pull out bed was quite uncomfortable too.

We stayed for one night, the hotel is in a perfect location, near plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and bars. We used the swimming pool twice, which the kids loved. The breakfast was great, plenty of choice and well stocked. We had a drink and played pool in the bar area which was a lovely way to end the night. The only down side was the sofa bed was really uncomfortable, so I didn’t sleep well. It definitely needed a new mattress.

Unfortunately there were problems with the heating in my room which was very cold . Staff were very helpful and I was able to move rooms .

The hotel is an excellent position but our room had no working air conditioning with the only way to control ventilation and temperature the window. It was also very noisy both inside and out. We therefore wouldn't stay again.

Functional property - cheap, located in the city centre with discounted NCP parking next door, adequate breakfast spread. That’s about it in what works for the property.
Oldish property with faded carpets, chaotic breakfast area and inoperable AC are just the start.
The Housekeeping staff are clueless and downright rude when they attempted an apology - they cleaned up my room at 930 AM (including binning my toiletries and socks) well before the checkout time of 11 and then had the gall to tell me to not use the room with a shrug when I said ‘ I haven’t checked out yet!’ They apologised when I raised it with the staff manager and the housekeeping supervisor, but the sup was patronising and barely attempted an apology.

I really like this hotel and would definitely stay again but we had some teething problems with the keys failing far too often to unlock the room doors. Also please put a fridge in the rooms!
Other than that, it's a cracking location, parking is handy, the staff are lovely and the rooms tick every box.

Perfectly adequate. Great value. Great staff and very clean. Only small thing- the background music at breakfast was very intrusive and extremely ‘Tunney’ through the speakers( can’t believe I’ve left that in a review- but it’s true!)

The hotel is totally underwhelming, and is showing signs of wear tear. Numerous things in the room didn't work or were broken. The breakfast was poor and tasted like it was made from the cheapest ingredients available.

This Holiday Inn Express was an excellent representative for the entire chain. It was clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is always included and the dining area was attractive and inviting. This particular hotel gave us a five star experience.

The double bed was more like a single….ridiculous! No way big enough for two people to sleep in.

Not massively impressed with a first stay at this hotel. We were initially given a room, when we let ourselves in somebody else's luggage wa sin the room. This was resolved . Only one lift was working which, if you are on the 5th floor, during Cheltenham Literature festival can cause problems. The shower was low in power and the cooked breakfast option and quality was very poor. On the plus size the room and the hotel in general was very clean.

Cheap and average hotel. Clean, average rooms which are poorly organised. One chair under the TV.
Breakfast very limited, sausage, bacon, scrambled egg and beans, that was it for hot breakfast. Toast available as well as cereals and pastries.
Only one lift working as well.

3rd stay. Staff were really nice. There seemed to be some issues with wifi and aircon, but thats hopefully fixed now. Super easy for town and parking next door (you get a discount too)

The bathroom was in need of tlc as there were little things that were not right and would not cost a lot to put right, the flush large one would pop of every time you flushed the tissue surrounding was all rusty, the bin would not lift when you pressed the foot pedal, the bathroom floor could have new grouting as it’s all gone which leaves the floor uneven for you to catch your toe on which happened couple time for me and my 4 year old granddaughter.

The one thing noticed the most was how clean this hotel was. The staff are helpful and the rooms are of a good standard. The negatives are the air con isnt great and when we went for breakfast it was very disorganised. There was noone to greet you or seat you and it was very busy. We had to queue for ages and then when we got to the food there was nothing left. I spoke to a member of staff and she just said well we are still cooking. I felt that this could of been better planned for but overall a nice hotel in a great location.

Staff was nice. Rooms were clean. Good location. Problem was maintenance issues- they moved our room 3 times to solve non-working tv, dead room phone in 2 rooms, no hot water and lastly no water at all. No fridges, microwaves or laundry available at hotel.

Hotel in great central location. We stayed in a family room and it was very cramped and not a lot of room. Didn’t explore use of the pool, but it was not located on site and think it was at the gym which is a 5 minute walk away. Shame that there is no free parking at the hotel
