We loved our stay! Everything was really well maintained, staff was very friendly, and we loved the 2 different pool options to choose from. We ate 2 meals at the restaurant as well because we loved it so much. Would highly recommend!

BEWARE: The hotel is NOT on the beach. The actual beach is at least three blocks away. It is also SEVEN blocks from ocean drive and 10th (which is the heart and lively area of South beach). This was extremely disappointing. The hotel itself is very nice and clean HOWEVER, when i booked, it states that all taxes and fees were included in the price BUT the hotel tried to scam me and force me to pay the resort fees TWICE. The manager was extremely rude and condescending when I showed him the proof. He refused to refund the overcharged fees and lied about the contract. Very sneaky and subpar customer service.

The two women at the front desk on 2/25 around 2pm are the absolute best! I’ll be back just for them.

Old, expansive hotel. When I arrived the housekeeper was sitting in my bed watching something on cellphone and they don’t have space to stock the luggage’s after checkout. I had to take an Uber and pay 20 dollars to keep my things in another place. I never saw something like this. Horrible hotel, horrible experience

The place is nice, a couple of blocks away from the beach. On site restaurant. There is no parking on site though. So you have to find a parking lot and pay 40$ for overnight parking.

Staff is incredibly friendly, efficient and accommodating! The hotel itself is in a super convenient and lovely area. Overall, highly recommend -- thank you Gabriela for your welcoming and helpful energy!

My biggest complaint was that the AC was not working and I expressed myself at front desk and it was never fixed.

I probably won't visit them anymore. My recommendation is to renovate the rooms.

Didn’t like it. The room had terrible odor, had to wait more than an hour for my deposit:)

Great location and staff, but I was charged for several minibar items that I didn't consume. The hotel didn't return my calls and emails regarding the complaint. I consider this a serious issue.

Overall the Hotel is fair. The Hotel is older and certainly feels as such. Third floor hallways are dark and damp. Dampness could be due to the water dripping from the ceiling onto the hallway carpet (with no effort from cleaning staff to collect water). Overall building smelled musty and now I know why. I wonder what the mold count is in the rooms / hallway? Unsafe? Would not recommend.

Honestly, the ambience, service, location, food and beds were awesome. Rooftop pool was small but the terrace/sundeck was cute. The balcony room was worth it travelling with 4 in a room. The lobby and restaurant area were super cute! CVS, the deli and Joe and the Juice were perfect affordable, quick and easy food/alcohol options.
Negatives were the shower didn’t get hot despite having maintenance try to fix it. I know this was only our room because others we travelled with didn’t have the same issue. Room was very dark and the sink area was very very small (and separate from the bathroom). No beach chairs but a public area of the beach wasn’t far and towels were fine.
I would consider booking again.

Second time I’ve stayed at the Riviera. Love this little boutique hotel. Great location. Lovely rooftop pool area. Good vibe. Cute bar on the property. Hotel does have a faint musty smell, but that’s very typical of hotels in Florida. Every every hotel I’ve stayed at in Florida has the same smell. Not a big deal for me. Other than that this place is very clean and that staff is top notch and on top of everything. Love the Riviera!

The hotel is in a great location that is very walkable to the beach. The staff were very friendly as well. A few things we didn’t like were that our keys kept getting deactivated even though we kept them away from electronics at the discretion of the staff at the front desk. Another thing was that there was no “do not disturb” sign option and housekeeping came at the most random times and not everyday. In addition, staff would knock on our doors and if we didn’t answer right away they would be about to open the door themselves and when we opened it at the same time they would just ask us if we needed anything from the mini bar. Personally, that made me uncomfortable and felt like an invasion of privacy.

Check in process was smooth. Gaby at the front desk was very friendly and efficient. Our room was upgraded to a suite, which we appreciated very much. The hotel is very convenient to the Filmore and you really cannot beat the room quality for the price.

Front desk folks were not very helpful. Maintenance team was great. We didn't have any hot water and they fixed it quickly. We had a dirty sock left in the room from previous people. Roof top pool was very dirty. False information advertised about happy hour at their new Mas Cuba bar.

It’s in a good location. The front desk staff are very nice and professional. We brought our black light and for the most part it was very clean. You can hear the room next to you snoring. We bought our own drinks to avoid the mini bar but we were erroneously billed for mini bar items. So far we have sent 2 emails and one call but have not received a response. We are making one more call for help but if we cannot get a refund then we will have to write a review outside of Expedia.

My stay was affordable, convenient, and close to the beach. My room itself was not good with a dirty rug, a rusted towel rack, a shower that floods the bathroom, and a concrete ceiling. I don’t know if my room was the only one, but it seems like the rooms and property overall is outdated and desperately needs some care and upgrading.

First and last time, it is not a hotel for the whole family, it is for adults, a permanent smell of marijuana throughout the area since they allow smoking within the hotel areas.

They upgraded our room to a suite for free. Great stay

Everything about the hotel was really nice, except no parking!

Property was great, staff exceptionally nice. Bar across the street is open to 5am and our window faced the bar. Maid service sporadic and parking was 60.00 nightly. Other than these things we enjoyed our stay!

They assigned us a room that was already occupied, so when we opened the door it was a big surprise. We had to go back downstairs and ask them for a different room, which took another 30 minutes. Nobody went to clean the room or even bring clean towels. No service at all, the check out was the only fast thing. Besides that the pool was dirty and the restaurant offered expensive and low quality food.

Riviera is convenient and affordable place in Miami Beach. My past bad experience is that I left my AirPods in their room once and it was never recovered. During this check-in, I mentioned it to the staff member who claims that they have a lost and found now.
This experience was brief. I needed to stay for the night with my 7 year old since we missed our flight and it was the last one for the night. All I needed was tv but there was no signal. Luckily I was able to get up on time. We checked in after midnight and and left at 5am.
Areas of improvement: I believe there was a bartender that finished her shift that ignored my existence and interrupted my check-in to retrieve her ID. I found that to be extremely rude.
Areas of concern: No one acknowledged my kid. South Florida is known for human trafficking, especially with children and I can see how easily children can slip into the cracks.
I was also charged a $25 resort fee that could’ve been waived due to my short stay. I wish I had time to take advantage of the beach towels and chairs. But I was only there to rest for 4 hours.
Overall, it’s a great place to stay to be close to the beach and the restaurant next door has great Cuban food.

Good location close to the beach. They made an effort to get us checked-in very early. Quiet room, modern decor. They don’t store your luggage, which is inconvenient if you arrive early or if your flight leaves late in the evening. No parking

My twin sister and I had a wonderful time, staff was great, location was great (close to the beach and walking distance to everything) had one problem with the homeless people but it was all good besides that I’m definitely booking again when I come back to visit

Good location with helpful staff. Building and rooms has signs of west and tear, but good value for money if you look for deals.

The room was great and a bit sexy! Loved the property in general. Mark the GM and his staff is awesome and accommodating. Can’t wait to stay here again! It’s the best place in South Beach!

Very spacious suite room with functional kitchen with basic utensils. The staff also were quite friendly and helped get our rooms early. They also arranged for sightseeing which is great for families. However the conditions in the suite were pretty bad and mostly have to do with poor construction. The floors were buckling, stove knobs were broken, and several other issues. Also they did not clean the room and had no real explanation of how that could be missed. They did not clean the room my friends family were staying either. One of the pools was dirty but i can see how difficult it could be to constantly clean leaves so i wont find much fault on this.
Further more the layout of the bathroom in one of the suites was completely impractical in many ways.
Even with these negatives we did have a pleasant stay overall. Transportation was so close and also beach is walkable. But the location isnt all that perfect as we have to take the trolley to get to the main beach area.

Hotel is decent it's clean just the air conditioning did not work for over 30 hours but normally speaking it would be a decent stay especially for the price

The stay was wonderful loved the look of the place. When I got there I was upgraded to a suit thanks to a VIP treatment they have with Expedia. I had to boom an extra night. Very beautiful for the price.

loved everything about the hotel but when checked in the mess having to deal with was upsetting i understand it can be stressful and busy but having to switch and move around rooms for not our nor employees fault but the “system on the computer” is what i wish we didn’t have to go through with overall everyone and everything was perfect

Hotel is not so great. While looking for hotels, specifically looked with filter “Parking Included” and ended up paying parking per night which is very costly. Had a terrible feeling about it. Wouldn’t recommend it as a cost sensitive option.
