I was an evacuee from Fort Nelson BC and was on my way home from Edmonton. I reserved a room the previous day as I didn’t want to do the trip all in one day. (1000 km)
I arrived just before 5:30 pm and was told that my room wasn’t ready and they asked me to come back at 6:30 or 7:00. But I had my dog with me and didn’t know anyone in Fort St John so I would just have to sit in my car with my dog. They allowed me to take my little dog into the lounge and have a bite to eat and watch the hockey game. When I went back to front desk they said it still wasn’t ready. They then told me they would call when it was ready so we just went for a drive and walk then sat in my jeep. I phoned 3 more times and it still wasn’t ready. Eventually they called just after 10 pm and said my room was ready. I asked about a discount and they eventually said they would give me 20% off and no pet fee. . When I checked out at 9:15 in the morning there was no discount and I paid a pet fee.
The girl that was at the desk this morning said I would have to contact the managers
and see if he would refund me something.
The other thing that was a little annoying was around 8 am the room phone rang , my cell phone had a text message and also an email reminding me to check out by 11. 8 am …. Really? If my room was still not cleaned after 5 hours then I’m assuming the guests were still there which means they probably got charged for the full night room rental. I booked the room through hotels.com C/I 3:00 pm??

I’ve stayed here plenty of times so knew what to expect concerning condition/age of hotel. First room checked into was dirty - rings on bedside, dirt in toilet and stain on bedsheet. Second room was ok. Was locked out of hotel upon returning at 11pm - had to call hotel number to let us in as nobody answered the buzzer on the front door. Had to do the same to check out in the morning. $200 deposit required and was notified it could take up to 45 days to return. Morning manager apologized for all issues but offered nothing to rectify. Definitely will not be back.

The shower in room 302 needs maintenance. There is very little pressure and the water never warmed up to a good temperature. It took me 3 times longer than usual to wash my hair last night 😣

Although the property was convenient, dining was very limited, rooms need a desperate update and there was limited to no hot water.
However, the property is cost-efficient.

This sure went downhill. No cleaning, toiletries or even coffee for 3 days unless you ask. Carpet is bare, toilet tilts, and only decaf coffee with a “that’s all we have”. Never stay there again.

Hallways smelled like garbage and vomit, pretty sure people have died in my room, they said they had a gym but it’s closed for renovation.

Lady on the front desk is so mean. We’re trying to have a good breakfast and she walks towards us like we doing something wrong. So disappointing and disrespectful. Hope you guys teach them to respect guest. I suppose to stay there for 4days but need to check out and find another hotel.

Had to switch rooms because our first room the tv nor the coffee maker worked. The property was not clean, bathroom vent and floor filthy, the main door had to be shoulder checked to open or close as it was rubbing so hard. Front desk didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing, I walked into the front sliding doors as they opened way to slow. Just not very impressed

It is an ok place. Don’t expect the restaurant to be open much. And there are no plug ins for your phone or iPad. Hello it’s 2024

Ever since Radisson took over service and cleaning went downhill. They just jacked up the price, lowered the internet speed, stopped cleaning, and have pretty below average staff at the front dedk

Booked a king room, found out I got a queen when I got into the room, called to switch was told they didn't have any available.
When checking in I was asked do you have a floor/view preference, my response "I trust your judgement, whatever one you think is best"
2nd floor room with a close up view of the roof only partially obstructed by large power cables diagonally in front of the window. I trust service industry workers as they know their service better than I typically do, this time... I think I misplaced that trust

Hotel is run down. Parking lot is Dark as can be. Complete skating rink getting out of my truck. Room was not really clean and definetly needs updating. Stayed 1 night out of the 5 i had booked.

Not easy parking but the staff was amazing and the building was clean and fixed up very nice. Rooms were clean and affordable.

Our stay at the Radisson in Fort St John was good. Pillows and bed were comfy. We also enjoyed the breakfast. Staff was helpful.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean and spacious and bed was very comfortable. Also it’s pet friendly, which is great.

Staff was ok, The service to get things fixed wasn't good 3 days to get TV in order and not enough channels. Fridge was very noisy.
Rooms are getting renovated I was told and it needs it if your in the old area.
Think they are just under staffed possibly.

The staff are not very friendly, and the rooms are run down and dirty, nothing fixed. My room had no smoke detector, just a spot where it should have been, shower curtain was ripped in miltuple spots, tiles broken, carpet ripped, spots on the wall have putty but never sanded and repainted, outer door and box spring covers were grossly dirty,

The person at the front desk didn't know what they were doing. Said there was no reservation
for me. The said I had no room because rxpedia had been booking rooms all day when they don't have rooms. I told her I booked four days before and had even recieved an email on the checkin and showed her the booking. Suddenly a room
was available at 'great risk to her'. The booking was in the system I could see it but she pretended it wasn't rarther than just saying woops there it is

If you got no where to stay, it’s alright. Breakfast was good. Wifi is awful, shower head was leaking and spraying everywhere so i couldn’t shower. When telling them this I didn’t even get a “sorry about that” they just wrote it down and charged me full price. Bed was clean and overall it’s the best of the worst I feel. Try and stay somewhere nicer, it’s worth the extra dollars

Don’t Recommend staying here they wanted a 700$ damage deposit and then lost it 3 times and I have yet to get it back. Stayed there for a month and room only got cleaned twice

Only spent one night, but room was clean and staff was pleasant

The room was clean and comfortable. The lobby was clean and bright. The staff were pleasant. The breakfast was good, better than most. The gym looked great. The hallways and were in poor condition which made worry about the condition of the room but was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the room.
