The area is not nice and unsafe late in the evening. Breakfast is very poor, served on paper plates.

The property is a bit tired. The walls were paper thin so you could hear the neighbouring room very clearly.
Our key didn’t operate the electrics in the room and we had to call to get it repaired everyday during our stay.
Our shower was broken and not repaired during our stay.
We asked reception to book a taxi for us and a 4 mile trip cost us 32 euro.
Staff were friendly.
Nice pool.

Friendly staff, good location, great free parking availability. Bathroom could have been renovated, but nothing too bad. Limited food availability at the restaurant. Good breakfast.

The hotel standard was absolutely terrible. Clearly old and breaking down.
The two main troubling problems we experienced are:
- checkin and breakfast staff were rude.
- shower drainage in our room was blocked and overflowed our entire bathroom floor after 1 minute of showering.
Other minor thing a such as broken elevator buttons, key card entering the room was faulty.

Looks like was made with lego blocks. Carpets old and dirty, run down. Maybe spa ok but the rest is cheap and ugly. It is located in the middle of an a run down residential area and has no view of anything. Nothing as you would expect from the pictures.

While I was searching for a hotel in Olbia one photo got my intention. An amazing beautiful indoor pool from Mercure. That was my main reason to pick Mercure rather any other hotel. After my check in I decided to chill a bit at the indoor pool before go for dinner, for my surprise this pool isn’t available for all the guests! If I wanted to use it, I have to pay €18 and use only for 2 hours!
They told me this pool isn’t part of the hotel, however, it’s on - 1 floor. Okay, let’s pretend that’s not part of the hotel. Why use this pool as main picture here on Hotels.com? Why there’s no info on my booking about this pool rules? I felt cheated and I don’t have intentions to be guest of any other Mercure in my life.

Long checkin, very bad breakfast service, we had to leave before we got the breakfast but we waited about 50 minutes.

Beds hard. Old. Dated. Wires from tv. Sheet not cover. Dirty shower. Even my nans furniture is more up to date. Views of a building site and train track. 220 quid for a 2 star at bed.

Staff were so hard working but so very helpful and lovely despite present conditions they have to work and adapt too

Good service
Location is not pleasant but close to City center

The spa is not included in the room price. This is not hotels.com's fault but rather the way the property chooses to advertise itself on this platform. It's very misleading that the main pictures of this hotel are the spa, but it does not state in three property details that it costs an extra 18 Euros.

Everyone at the hotel was helpful and very polite. The breakfast was fabulous. The spa was gorgeous.

Lovely hotel , excellent service, car parking can be a struggle

Good, quiet location a 10min stroll from the cafe area.
Room was large with a good sized bed, plus a coffee machine in the room made a change.
Decent selection for breakfast for breakfast, if muesli & toaat is your thing. Unfair, but hotel breakfasts pretty much the same things everywhere now.
However, the shower didnt fit the holder, and would fall out often. It only has to land on your toe once & showering becomes a literal, pain.
The wifi in the room was lousy, may as well not have it as it dropping out every few minutes.
The A/C was inadequate to cool a room so large so while the entrance to the room was cool, the room wasnt.
There's not much i want from a hotel room after work. Get clean & relax on a cool bed looking at daft video clips maybe. In that respect, the hotel failed.

Upon check in we asked for an additional key card. We were told we couldn’t have one until other guests had checked in and they could tell if they had enough keys for everyone? We were told too many people had lost keys. I don’t care how many people lose their key cards, you are a hotel and planning for key inventory is your job. Additionally, no one told us that the “free” beach shuttle had to be booked in advance and only ran two times per day to the beach. Breakfast was good, but during the day food choices were too limited. Also, no shop on site for snacks or toiletries. All in all, not the best hotel. It was clean, beds and pillows were comfortable, shower was great, pool area was very nice and bar staff was excellent.

The rooms are big and very nice to be in. Breakfast very good with many options. There is swimming pool and parking area. Also there is a huge fitness area and spa.
But the location of the hotel is not that pleasant. But it’s close to the airport, and much better then hotels close to the airport.
I did miss a balcony.
For 1-2 days it’s perfect.

On first arrival Jessica and Claudia were very welcoming, and i was able to check in early as my room was available. My room was very clean, all the staff were helpful. The spa facilities were amazing and reasonably priced. I really enjoyed the gallery and dining area for breakfast, i was able to eat my breakfast in peace whilst looking at the scenic surroundings. I would also like to say the hotel manager was very friendly and always said hello, and asked me how i was everytime i saw him.

Bathroom needs to be renovated. The toilet bowl has a stain in the middle. Telephone cable was chewed. No milk in the room for coffee or tea. Checking took a very long time. There was only one person at reception and he was dealing with a difficult customer. Since I arrived late 10.30pm I wanted to have something light to eat and the only choice was a very poor quality mozzarella and tomato sandwich on super processed white bread. Breakfast very poor quality. No healthy cereals or fresh juice. The gym doesn't open until 7 am. The outside area is closed until 9 am so you are forced to have a coffee inside.

The gym is very good. One of the best I have seen for a hotel.
The overall hotel decor is a little rundown.
Breakfast is reasonable.
A few items no longer exist in the hotel yet the advertising is still there.
The WiFi is a little irregular and disconnects fairly often.
The cleaners don't always respect the Do not disturb and I had my room get double booked by reception causing unwanted guests to enter my room and start an argument with me in another language.

Lovely staff; clean modern rooms; good breakfast. Not in the best part of Olbia though. There are more centrally located hotels which have the same or better facilities.

The hotel is excellent. All the staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good. I would like to recommend this hotel to everyone how wanderer where to stay in Olbia.

The Hotel is not in charge of the spa and the outdoor pool is not advertized

No Breakfast included
No pool
No transfers
Basically the three things we looked for in the search...
Otherwise a decent hotel, clean and near town location

We needed a one night stay in Olbia as we arrived on an evening flight and did not want a long drive in the dark. A very good thing about this hotel is that you can take a local bus from the airport grounds for €1.50 and then a 7 minute walk to the hotel. We did this journey twice as the next day we returned to pick up a hire car.
The hotel is a standard Mercure, a typical business hotel. Reception was helpful. Room was comfortable. It is not in a pretty location and you would not want to linger. Breakfast was ok but awful coffee and juice. To have even one egg at breakfast was an extra €5.

Pretty good 3-4* choice at Olbia.

Hotel was great, walking distance to historic center and plenty of free parking. We got a free spa treatment and drinks. Recommended!

Great hotel, really friendly staff. lovely spa. They offer a free shuttle bus to Pittulongu beach which is a god send if you don't have a hire car, Mario the driver is a cool dude!
Also, from reading previous reviews which stated breakfast was not the best, I have to disagree with these reviews as I thought it was excellent.

Hotel perfect for family and business . Me and my wife greatly enjoyed. Easiness to go and return from the beach at various times of the day. Breakfast was provided with everything. If we return to Sardinia certainly we will choose the same hotel.

Excellent staff, everyone was very helpful and kind. Room was very spacious and super clean. Breakfast, included, was outstanding. Location was good. Definitely, I would return to this hotel.

Very friendly staff & amazing Spa however the city of olbia is not very animated for young people

Friendly staff and they couldn't do enough when they found out my friend was pregnant. Hotel comfortable and their sun terrace was a god-send when we didn't want to go out. Hotel ideally situated near the town with a 5 minute walk and a 10 minute walk to the harbour.
4.0
Good points (in no particular order) are friendly helpful staff, large rooms, big comfortable beds, breakfast included, free underground car park, central location yet only 5 mins from airport, free internet access, large tvs, spa and restaurant.
Many previous reviews note factors that manager cannot change such as no balcony's, hotel can be difficult to find, location is not scenic, can be noise due to style of building.
Many reviews note things the manager could change such as stocking the minibars, tea and coffee making in all rooms, faster internet, improve satellite tv as no pay films and only 1 English channel, stop charging to use pool, buy a better toaster and coffee machine for breakfast.
I would happily stay at this hotel again and will recommend to others.

We had a lovely stay. Huge room and breakfast is superb!! Highly recommended.

Rooms nice and clean. Breakfast good. Staff nice and helpful. Location great as walking distance to the town centre where you will find great places to shop, eat and drink.

Good quality rooms, excellent staff, good food. The only negative was a leaking seal around the shower.

We spent four days between the 15th and 18th of May 2013 and had a wonderful time. Ideal location for city centre.
3.0
The hotel was clearly designed to be a luxury space, but the overall sense was that no funds are being spent on upkeep or improvement. The common spaces are pretty and the artwork nice, but the main elevator and most of the fountains don't work, There seems to be insufficient business to keep the hotel in the black (profitable). The rooms were comfortable and the staff helpful; however, it seems ready for guests that aren't there, and may never be.
