This inn is a gem. Beautiful property inside and out with an amazing view. And pet friendly! Service was impeccable and the rooms were comfortable, roomy, and clean. The bed was heavenly. Food was delicious. The staff at the front desk was the friendliest group of humans I have ever encountered at any stay anywhere. Highly highly recommend. We will definitely be back!

Met with a rather unfriendly reception upon check-in. Room was ok, dated. Continental breakfast is served only until 9:00. If you are even a few minutes late you are out of luck! That being said we were there by 8:30 and almost everything was gone. Views were lovely, and tjeir full service restaurant looked nice.

Fantastic hotel. We had a beautiful king suite with a shared balcony and an awesome view. It was incredibly comfortable and superbly clean. The staff were all great and we would definitely stay there again.

We stayed with 3 kids during the eclipse. The rooms were wonderful, the staff was nice, and my kids loved exploring the grounds! During breakfast the day of the eclipse, they made sure to give us advice to ensure we got to a good viewing location.

I love staying at Lucerne. Everyone there is kind and helpful and it’s a beautiful room with a beautiful view.

It was awful. There was a fan or some kind of blower on the roof outside my window of my room that was very loud and was going for about three hours till 11:30. I couldn’t sleep because of the noise.
Also I couldn’t watch tv from bed as the tv was was to my left. I doubt I’ll stay there again.

Fireplaces were closed down. Wasn’t automatically upgraded to a better room . Not many rooms taken. Room was under the bar.

We had a wonderful stay. Lack of hot water in the tub. Quickly resolved with a move to another room. We would stay again. Love coastal areas in the winter in Maine.

It’s a very unique old building. We loved the fact that it was not shiny and new. The staff was tremendous, very friendly and accommodating. my wife in particular, and I love the history of old buildings.
The two nights we stayed there happened to be too very cold nights. There were strong winds and negative degree chill factors outside. We were warm, cozy in our room, but it made it so the did not do any outdoor activities. We would love to go back again in the summer.

Breakfast could have been better. Had high hopes for it and was disappointed. Showed up at 2 o’clock in the morning to check in. No lights on in the lobby And the host was asleep. I reserved the room five hours before arrival.

Quiet, peaceful views. Always great food!

Staff was very accommodating . Room was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was super basic, but having stayed at other hotels, I'd rather microwave a breakfast sandwich here, than eat the nasty powdered eggs at other hotels. It was a nice holiday get away.

The room we had was very clean but smelled very musty . Other then that everything was fine.

Convenient to Bangor or Ellsworth. Good restaurant on premises which was a definite plus. Would stay here again.

The bathroom could of been cleaned especially the tub jets and the shower walls had mold on grout and the breakfast was terrible and the restaurant was closed the first night which sucked so we didn’t eat but thank god it was as the second night it was open and are room was right below it and it was noisy as hell and tons of banging around above are room and the room says it had a fire place but it didn’t work as it was gas and didn’t run there is no ice machine or refrigerator I’m room I was totally disappointed in my stay here and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

Unique "old style" hotel located about 40 mins from Acadia National Park. Nice view of the lake from the room. While clean, the room just wasn't very enjoyable for us. We didn't sleep well as it seemed the mattresses left us tossing and turning. Older TV, and furniture seemed worn out. Staff was friendly and checkin/checkout process was straight forward.

It was so nice and relaxing. The food was really good and the view to die for

Not elderly friendly. We had to carry our luggage downstairs, no elevator. No assistance. Room was spacious, but advertised with a fireplace, but it didn’t work. The tub faucet leaked all night and the toilet wouldn’t flush.

Front desk could be friendlier I felt like I wasn’t wanted there at all. Breakfast could be more options instead of cereal. Paid a lot to stay wish hot breakfast was included
3.0
Attractive location. No staff at breakfast. Just instructions on signs telling us to bus our own tables etc. Our first assigned room was not cleaned and we were given another. The property needs more investment. It’s obvious that it’s a struggling mom and pop operation

The inn is an older building with lots of charm. It was clean and comfortable.

Booked this place online. Facility is worn down. Probably very nice 10 years ago. Signs out front advertise restaurant and pub as open. They were not open on Monday. Will find another place next time.

There was no dinner , no breakfast, room
Had very limited amenities.

If we're ever in the area again this would be our go to stay. Dave the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable of areas to visit. We can't thank him enough for two people close to 80 from Hilton Head SC and his hospitality.
