My wife and i stayed in cabin ten for three nights. We were wanting to find a quiet place to relax for a few days. We found exactly that! We drank a lot of the spring water and made excellent coffee with it. Our desires to find a place of rest in a quiet place was a complete success.
Management supplied a great map of the area upon check in, showing places of interest in the area (including the famous spring on site). We went out to explore the area every day and relaxed in the cabin as well.
If you are looking for an action packed vacation, there are other places to consider. If unplugging from the race is on the agenda, this is a great place for success.
Our appreciation goes out to the management of this property. Thank You :)

I am sorry. Not what I expected. I am not a camper and this was a step up from a tent. Maybe that is how it is supposed to be. But, it was not for me. The best thing about the cabin for me was the bed. The TV room furniture was awful. Will never go back.

Wonderful place. We really needed to relax and boy was this the place! Not only that but I swear the healing water works! Quaint with a babbling brook and peaceful. Highly recommend Heading Waters Cottages.

If you are looking for a place to completely unplug and relax here's the place. The cabin I stayed in had no tv or radio, and that was exactly what I wanted and needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Healing Cabins. It was a great place to unplug. The history of the property was very interesting, and we enjoyed exploring. Check in was painless, the cabin was very clean, and the bed slept wonderfully! We'll be back!

The cabin and environment was very peaceful and relaxing. Only complaint is that our dog discovered a big pile of what looked like some type of cookie/crackers under between and under the couch cushion. Otherwise all was clean.

Nice setting. Bare-bones accommodations.

Don't let the "Budget Cabin" fool you. It's beautiful, cozy and 1000x better than a $150-$200 regular hotel. They have everything available that you could need in the shop and in the room. HOT heat, cold a/c AND a ceiling fan. But there were 2 minor things. The shower head continuously dripped which thank god the a/c drowned the sound out. And I know these cabins are very old but I do agree that they really need new locks. There is also no deadbolt which concerned me through the night. You can also hear your neighbors pretty well so be weary. But I still give this cabin 5 stars because you can't find better for the price.

Check in/out was easy and the place was nice even though the mattress was too soft for my taste.

This place was amazing! The outside of the cabins look very old, but preserved. The inside of the cabin was so perfectly arranged, clean and decorated.

We enjoyed a cozy cabin that was clean and had everything we needed. Loved the soaps made there that were available for sale. Lots of information about where to eat and area attractions was available. Once we became familiar with the area, we realized that we were fairly close to so much. Great spot to spend the weekend and enjoy Ashe county.

Great mountain location, well appointed room! Clean! If you rent one of the less expensive cabins be aware they are all connected and you can hear everything in the cabin next door and porches are shared. If you want privacy go for the cabins with no other units surrounding it!

It’s a good cabin in a beautiful environment. Everything seems great except there’s no communication because it’s quite far from the office. Not sure if there was going to be any cleaning at all but no cleaning at all during three 6 days of our stay. 2 garbage bags were just about enough. We had to keep the first full garbage bag inside the house.

The racing water pouring down the mountain, comfy bed, hot shower, kind, flexible owner. Great!

We actually rented the Over the River cabin instead and wow...it is secluded and a nice spot to enjoy the quiet of nature and a dip in the river.

We stayed in a different cabin for this stay from the 1st time. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Please expect insects outside of cabins due to location. None are in cabins. We did see a huge spider but we're realistic. Spiders eat other insects and the cabins are in wooded areas.

We were looking for a place with local character (not a chain motel) convenient to hiking the Grayson Highlands. The Cabins supplied this perfectly. We even enjoyed a free bluegrass serenade Saturday evening from an adjacent cabin, perfect way to fall asleep in the mountains. Highly recommend! Drink the water!
