We were working the Foodees Food and Culture festival and decided to stay the night rather than drive back home. They were extremely welcoming, greeting me by name upon arrival and made the check-in process so easy! They were even willing to allow me to put some of my cheesecakes in their kitchen refrigerator but we ended up not needing to because the small amount we had fit in the large "mini" fridge in the room. Very clean and quiet, the perfect "ahhhh" moment of relaxing for my wife and I.

A wonderful hotel. From the staff, comfort, cleanliness, and breakfast everything ie awesome. Its our 2nd time here and will continue to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Aiken!

Housekeeping rifled through one of our suitcases after the first night. We decided to put the do not disturb sign on the door and didn’t have the room cleaned after that. We went down and got new towels from the front desk each day. Other than that the stay was fine.

The hotel was very clean. Front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. Ask for a late checkout and it was given immediately! Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Room was clean. Great water pressure for those that crave it. Outlets in lamp didn’t work too well. Phone didn’t charge overnight. Great stay!

When you make a reservation far in advance, you should be able to get the room you ask for. I was provided the handicapped room, instead of the standard room I requested. The accessible room should be reserved for those who truly need it. I was also disappointed that the accessible room is at the far end of the first floor near a side exit where you hear people entering and exiting all night. I now know that in order to get a hotel room in Aiken, you have to reserve very far advance and check in early in order to get the room you want. The hotel is very nice and the staff were great, I just wish I got the room I asked for.

I stay at this hotel whenever I’m in Aiken. I was disappointed this time with a non-stop running toilet, and the front desk had nobody available to fix it, so I had to switch rooms. I was downgraded to a smaller room, and then one night I was there, the noise level overnight was beyond unacceptable. There was a huge group that made way too much noise in the lobby and running up and down the halls late at night. I got no sleep and had an early flight so that was less than fun. I did call the front desk and he said he’d ask them to quiet down. That was short lived. I understand a hotel can only do so much, but as much as I travel, I’d honestly say that noise level was some of the worst I’ve experienced and staff should be able to take action to prevent or minimize that kind of thing. I pay good money for a nice hotel and don’t want that level of noise. Ironically, on my last day, the toilet in the new room began running continuously too, just like the first room!

Only concern was lack of early check in availability. I flew in the morning and wanted an early check in. I called the hotel multiple times in the week leading up to the reservation, including on the day of, and never got a straight answer if early check in was available, and if so, what time. I travel all the time and ask this question of hotels frequently. Sometimes it’s available, sometimes it’s not. Sometimes it costs money, sometimes it doesn’t. The frustrating part was not getting a clear answer after 4-5 phone calls over the course of a week. Ultimately I was able to check in about an hour early, for a $10 fee. Compared to how other hotels handle this situation, that seemed unreasonable to me. Otherwise I have no complaints. Clean hotel, quality room, good location, etc

Overall great stay! Our only issue was we booked this hotel because of the pool and saw it was open when we arrived later Friday eve, so next day was a gorgeous hot day we planned to use pool and it was closed all day ! No clear explanation why, to say the least our grandkids were totally upset.

Ive stayed at this location many times and it has always been a pristine comfortable stay. Im usually on the 1st floor this time i was on the 4th and the room was stuffy upon arrival. I turned on the ac and looked it over the couch had a black stain on it and was very visibly dirty. I didnt plan on sitting or sleeping on it so it wasnt a huge issue. I showered and pulled back the covers and the pillow had a huge black spot on it. My husband took it to the receptionist and they gave him a clean pillow. This altogether was disappointing to me and ruined our trip. This was some alone time for us as we both travel for work and rarely get alone time together due to my previous stays i wrongly assumed this stay would be uneventful as well....I was wrong. The only plus was we slept well and the continental breakfast was good.
