Very good location, only thing is air conditioning is not operating since it is still spring time. Just ask the receptionist to have the remote control.

Basically everything is near by. Short walk distance from Gran Via metro, and a lot of shops and stores. Heritage building mixed with modern flavours. Single bed was truly single that is European standard so please avoid if you're taller than170cm. Bathroom was renovated that I loved.

The room is clean, well equipped with a fridge, microwaveand kettle. 2 minutes' walk from Gran Via. Excellent price-quality ratio. Thin walls and noisy neighbors, you can't hear the noises from the street. You can leave your luggage at the reception for free after check out. I recommend, we will come back.

Absolutely recomended, a place clean, pretty, practice and modern, is near from La Gran Vía, when you go out from the door only Will need walk 3 meters and will be on the Gran Vía, one of the most important avenues in Madrid.

Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. Lovely view of all the shops and action on the street below. Priced right. Just what we needed for our overnight in Madrid. Would stay here again.

AVA Rooms is the best hostel I have ever stayed. Although no English for the check-in, all basic steps I could handle it with body language or simple google translations. This AVA Rooms looks like newly renovated, toilet, bedding are all new and very clean. Maybe the room I got also has kitchen utensils, pantry, large fridge, microwave, kettle & cups which convenient of my stays over there for having some supermarket purchased ready made or frozen food. It is also at the centre of Madrid, with walking distance to all site seeing places. I have a balcony viewed room, which some travelers might complain to the noise from street bars & restaurants. But it is ok to me when I closed all balcony doors and turned on air-con, it is much better. Yes, wall is pretty thin we can hear our neighbors voice, but I found most hostel and hotels here in Madrid have the same issue. Anyway, I would like to return again and highly recommend this room to other travelers.

Excellent location, nice clean well equipped rooms. Great shower and right in the centre of what’s like Madrids soho. Loved it. Would stay there again

The stay was pleasant overall. Great location - some of the most popular sightseeing is just 15-20 min walk away (e.g., Prado Museum, Royal Palace of Madrid, Mercado de San Miguel, and others). Located on a shopping street but the noise from the streets can't be heard and doesn't disturb sleep or relaxation during the day.
The only cons: The walls are so thin that you can hear noises and conversations from the next rooms, but if you have a tight sleep as I do, it won't disturb you. It was a bit hard to communicate with the host because none of the staff spoke basic English, and all the communication was in Spanish. Luckily, somehow I figured out what I was told. And it was a bit cold during the night.
I'm sure I'd be more than happy to stay there during another trip to Madrid.

Excellent value. Clean, safe and quiet. Security cameras in hallways, daily cleaning, mini fridge, microwave, kettle in room. AC was perfect. Quick check in. Best location, within 5-10 min walk to Sol, Plaza Mayor and Gran Via. Recommend asking for a room with a larger shower/bath. Stayed 5 nights with partner and will definitely stay again when in Madrid. Compared to other hostels, you really cannot beat the value!

Close to the city center, private room with the bathroom in-suite, water cattle, fridge, tv, all the necessities.

A bit noisy at night. I could hear the upper floor people’s bed noice, the neighbors talking loud till 1 am, etc. By the way, no noise from the street.

Pleasantly surprised - location was central, room was clean and comfy. Only downside was the noise from neighbouring rooms, but unavoidable I suppose.

this hostal is very close to attractions. however the receptionist cannnot understand english.

The location of the property is superb and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room itself is way too small for 3 beds. It is really a tiny hostel. The washroom is tiny, I could barely fit into it. The outside is very noisy. When we opened the window we couldn’t fall asleep, when we closed the window we were afraid to get suffocated due to luck of air circulation

Overall fantastic only annoying thing was TV on in next room all night. Rooms do not need TV in there too small and there's so much to see and do in Madrid why would you watch TV all night.

The location is amazing, walking distance to everything! But STAFF CAN NOT SPEAK ENGLISH ! NOT EVEN RECEPTIONIST! Thats a BIG PROBLEM !! How can you rent your rooms to tourist without speaking english !!

When you go to budget hostals you shouldn’t expect “amenities”. These are clean efficient rooms that get you away from the very bus corridor below. Ava rooms are terrific. They’re colorful if thats important to you. Location is the thing with all these hostals I’ve been staying at. 5 star location. Staff are always nice. The stairway in this building is ancient and beautiful.

Great location, clean and comfortable beds, easy access to all tourist top attractions. Recommend!
