The apartment was in a great location and the decor was simple. Parking is a nightmare as malaga has introduced restricted access for cars in the city centre. We ended up paying €25 a day for public parking. The accommodation itself was great..the Ikea furniture could have been better, but we had everthing we needed. The bakery next door was the best.
The code to access the apartment is given to you just before you arrive which can be a bit stressful but it all worked out in the end.

Libere Teatro Romano apartments are in an old building that's been attractively refurbished. It feels very secure: you input a security code 3 times between the street and your apartment. It was nerve-wracking not being told until arrival day which apartment we had booked and paid for, and not being given the security code until 3pm on arrival day, especially as Libere does not seem to respond to emails prior to one's arrival. However, the information arrived exactly as promised. The building's location is perfect for tourists: 5 mins' walk from the nearest C1/C2 bus stop on one of the busiest streets of the historic city - yet our apartment was quiet. Everything you might want to see in the historic city can be reached on foot within ~15 mins, and it's an easy walk to Malaga's retail centre and its parks and beaches. There are several good supermarkets within 5 mins' walk, and dozens of cafes and restaurants. Malaga's art house cinema is only a couple of mins away, as are the Teatro Romano and the entrance to the medieval Alcazaba. There are numerous museums and galleries in the area. What's not to like?! Our only disappointments were the lack of washing machine and dishwasher (which are possibly available in apartments larger than the studio we booked?) and the very stingy provision of rubbish bags and washing up liquid in one tiny sachet: we like to cook using the excellent local ingredients, so getting dishes and pans clean and dry was tricky. Otherwise, it was great!

Very lovely apartment, gave is the option to be close everything and have a lovely base to relax
Early check in and late check out option were perfect for us

It was not good. The virtual check- in experience was not practical. Our entry code didn’t work and we were given another one that didn’t work after a couple of days. Dealing with a voice in intercom rather than in-person reception was terrible. The room was extremely noisy (73 calle Granada) and unable to close the shutters. Very poor location as area doesn’t quiet down until 3-4 am. The latch on shutter was broken. There wasn’t any soap for shower and when I requested some nobody returned my request. The pillows were hard and uncomfortable. No extra blankets were supplied. Virtual communication was terrible.

This place it has a good location, clean but the only thing I didn’t like is that they don’t have a reception, you have to ring a bell to call customer service, in order to get a code. I could find the right location since they have a few buildings, sometimes it took a minute for them to answer

HORRIBLE
WILL NEVER STAY AT A LIBERE HOTEL AGAIN

This apartment was fine for a quick 2 night stay. Communication and information from the company managing these apartments was excellent. Check in was straight forward using the PIN code for access.
Really comfortable bed and great location near everything. Useful little kitchen for having breakfast/coffee.
Would have wanted more clothes storage space if staying longer. The shelves part of wardrobe wasn’t useable as packed full of towels/spare bedding. Just left some stuff in suitcase.
The shower was just an attachment fixed to wall and was loose/too high up to adjust. It meant having to stand right up against taps in order to be fully under the water. I’d expect better for the price of stay and given I thought these were fairly newly renovated apartments.
Lastly, I was probably unlucky having a 1st floor apartment right at the front of the building, but there was constant noise from outside - very loud at night. I wouldn’t recommend if you want a good night’s sleep.
Overall though, I needed somewhere clean and convenient at the last minute and this did the job.

Absolutely incredible location! Easy walking distance to everything with lots of cafes around. The streets can get loud on the weekends late into the night but I didn't mind it at all.

I asked and payed extra for a room with a balcony! Like the one in the picture and didn't provide. Very disappointed

Nice apartment in fantastic location. Great communication with hosts. First time using my phone as the key but was really easy and convenient to use.

This apartment is well located, clean, and beautiful. Check-in and check-out was easy. I’d stay here again without a doubt.

Fabulous location and fabulous apartment.

The apartment was super cute with a balcony. It was walking distance to bars, restaurants, shopping and tourist attractions. There was a door intercom at the entrance that lets you speak to a customer service representative, if you have any questions. The only down side is that early check-in is not available and there's nowhere to store your luggage while you wait to check-in. Other than that, it's great!

Highly recommend. The location is fantastic, right in the centre of the historic centre, 5 minutes walk to attractions like Picasso Museum and Malaga Cathedral. The apartment was modern, comfortable and felt luxurious with great views of the city. Staff were friendly and helpful, arranged for us to check in late and leave our bags at reception after check out.

Great location in the heart of Malaga city near to the Alcazaba and the castle and just round the corner from Picasso museum. Spacious studio with large comfortable bed and good size bathroom with amazing shower pressure. A little noise from the street but we were out late so never bothered us. Would highly recommend.

Disappointed in both the company and Hotels.com. Although we did book a non refundable deal we felt that because of the Covid situation and the fact that we couldn't travel from Scotland at all, there could have been a more flexible approach. The apartment wasn't even open. We asked to defer until next year which was refused by the company and they offered us alternative accommodation. Hotels.com kept saying they were looking into it but we never received a repky from them, one way or another.

Location was excellent. Directly in to the old centre. Many Bars and restaurants to choose from. Great “buzz”. We had to accept that the “buzz” continued long after we had retired to bed! Wonderful comfortable bed and linen. Clean and tidy apartment.
Query suspended table was impractical but then again we never ate in. Weak WiFi

Apartamentos Fana is perfectly located around many of the tourist attractions, bars and restaurants. Staff are friendly and helpful should you have any concerns. Our room was lovely, spacious and comfortable however the only small complaint I would have is that the furniture was a little dusty (but that’s really nothing!). We had a fantastic stay here and would recommend it to anyone wanting a trip to Malaga. Gracias!

Super clean and comfy room. Quiet.Great location! This is an apartment building renting out rooms. That's really nice but I got the impression that the staff aren't really enthusiastic about tourists. Not the friendliest. Not rude. Just disinterested. Cool, let's say.

So clean and lots of space!
Right in the heart of the city where the action is. It does get a bit noisy but if you don’t mind this is the perfect place for the price point!

Central location Love the accommodation we were in 101. excellent reception staff and the access instructions perfect. Lovely fluffy towels. remember this is a city location so expect evening noise.
Access to washing machine and dryer
Everything spotless except the lampshade in the bathroom was very very dusty.

Beautifully designed and spotlessly clean apartments in the centre of the old historic city of Malaga.

Excellent location. We stayed in the the duplex apartment which was very spacious and clean. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Perfect for a 3 night stay.

Fabulous apartment in the very heart of the old town of Malaga. The excellent air conditioning was very welcome after the heat of the day. Would definitely recommend and return for a few days break. Also no car required as everywhere is within walking distance.

The hotel was awesome! It seemed close to 600sq ft, which is huge for a European hotel. The location was great, the concierge was very friendly and helpful, and it had everything and more that we needed.

Booked a last minute stay, chose it based on location. It was a fantastic stay with lots of restaurants and tourist spots nearby. Great customer service and amenities like an inroom kitchen and common laundry. Check in time is limited but very easy to self check in after hours. The only very minor flaw is the air condition system that may not cool the room down on a hot day. Will definitely return on my next trip Malaga!

The staff were super helpful. We had booked the apartment for the wrong week but they found us another one and did not charge us any extra. The apartment was clean and well appointed. The local area felt friendly and safe.

Excellent location. Within walking distance from the castle and all the museums, churches. Many excellent restaurants within easy walking distance.

Fantastic visit to Malaga with excellent location and facilities.

The location is great and the reception was very nice! However, during our whole stay there was a construction going on right in front of our window so it could get very noisy during the day (as well in the morning). And there was also a bad smell from the toilet, I'm not sure where it came from (we did mention this to the reception during check out). Other than those 2 things, the apartment was great overall!

Toilet ventilation should be improved

Excellent location in old town and great modern rooms. At check-in we were given some tips on restaurants and attractions, which were very useful. There was some noise outside at night but only to be expected when you are in the centre of the action.

A gem of a place in the heart of the city. All spotless with beautiful decor. Would definitely recommend this place particularly for its convenience. The man on reception (sorry I didn’t get his name) was extremely helpful with recommendations for places to eat & drink. We would definitely stay again.

In the centre of Malaga, close to Picasso Museum and attractions. Clean and comfortable apartment with all amenities.

If you’re looking for an apartment in central Malaga, I’d definitely recommend Fana Suites. It’s in the centre of the city next to lots of lovely restaurants and all of the key tourist attractions. The apartment itself is modern, clean and has friendly staff.

Very attractive property. Excellent reception staff. Perfect location. Only downside was the various building works going on around the building.

This is a nice, quiet, modern, newly renovated apartment suite that just opened a few months ago. My husband and I immensely enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend Fana Suites for it’s price and amenities (full kitchen, outdoor patio, spaciousness, early check-in, etc.). Additionally, the staff, especially Alberto, are extremely friendly and helpful. Another added bonus was the free washer/dryer provide for guests to use. It is walking distance to the Picasso Museum, Alcazaba, and many shops/restaurants.
This is a wonderful place to stay!
