It was a great experience.

The Plaza Hotel is updating rooms. Unfortunately we were an older room, which was ok, but as compared to the room that our friends had it had a lot to be desired. There was mold in grout lines, chipped tiles, and just an overall very small room.

Fabulous stay! So close to Fiserv and fun walkable restaurants (and the Bronze Fonz!). Desk staff was lovely, parking is great, and the building is quaint. How nice to walk down the steps to brunch on Sunday. This will be my go-to hotel when traveling to Milwaukee!

The staff was very friendly and the place was very clean. Will stay again on future trips.

This is such a a classic hotel. Beautiful building and so well maintained..

This hotel was advertised as newly renovated but unfortunately upon entering our room we realized how dated it was. The bathroom was outdated as well as the attached kitchen and there was not temperature control for the room. The room had a radiator that got so hot the only solution was the keep the windows open all night. Aside from that, the staff was friendly and attentive and it was a unique building. Ultimately it felt like we were paying for the location rather than any amenities.

The property is very charming for a romantic getaway. The room was updated and clean, and was just what we were looking for. Parking was on-site and convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

We had reservations at another place that got cancelled and the Plaza took us in immediately. The front desk staff were so friendly! We had a beautifully renovated room with a kitchenette. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the bedding was lovely. The cafe downstairs never disappoints and is always tasty!

I've enjoyed staying at The Plaza over several years when visiting Milwaukee. It is within easy walking distance to several restaurants and places of interest.

The building had a really cool retro urban vibe and the updated room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I didn't see an elevator, so if you are troubled by stairs, consider that when choosing rooms.

Really nice rooms and a unique stay. Can be a little noisy and I am pretty sure doesn’t actually have central air (just had a radiator and a fan in my room) but the windows could be opened so it was fine. A little noisy, but I think old buildings just have thin walls. Otherwise, it’s in a good part of town close to so many things and I would stay here again.

Lovely old hotel with clean, comfortable, updated rooms and an excellent cafe for breakfast. Manager was very helpful.

The Plaza Hotel was such a great getaway location. It was conveniently located to everything we needed, and The Hop had a stop just a couple of blocks away. Breakfast was spectacular with a good mix of visitors and locals who just like the food and atmosphere. The decor was charming yet updated with all the modern conveniences.

The Plaza Hotel is right in the heart of Milwaukee with lots to do. It is a beautiful, historic old hotel that is extremely well kept. We will definitely stay here again. A great bargain for the price.

I liked the ambiance of the hotel. It's an older hotel but very quiet and spacious. They have an excellent restaurant. The only thing I didn't like was the short toilet. I felt like I was sitting on the floor. The toilet was also crammed between the sink and wall.

What a lovely hotel. Art Deco style. Nice, modern kitchen. Safe area and really nice restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Walk down the street for dinner and dessert at Buckly's. I will stay here again.

My wife and I really enjoyed our overnight stay at the Plaza Hotel. Nice room on the ground floor near the front desk and front door. Excellent location in a fun and quiet neighborhood. Excellent front desk staff. After check-in, we asked their recommendation for a nice restaurant within walking distance, and they recommended The Knick. Great Choice. After dinner, we walked around the neighborhood and felt completely safe. The next morning, we had to check out at 4 am in order to catch the 6 am ferry boat to Muskegon. Checkout was flawless and swift. We really recommend the Plaza Hotel and it will be our first choice the next time we stay in Milwaukee.

Nice stay. Staff is friendly. Building is old and the décor goes with the oldness which is fun but can be inconvenient in a modern world.
For example, the bathroom is really small and the sink is just a sink bowl. A mirror with small shelves behind it is all there is to hold toiletries. I kept my toiletries in their carry bag on the toilet when I cleaned up in the mornings.
The most important thing to know (and it's on their website) is there are no elevators in the building. Small marble steps (a little slippery with the wrong shoes) are how you get your luggage and yourself up and down to your room. There are 4 floors.
I didn't realize that when I booked my reservation and my wife had real problems going up and down the stairs. If you stay and have issues with the stairs, be sure you ask for a 1st floor room.
The staff is really nice and helpful and staying in an old room & hotel was a fun experience so I really have no regrets staying there.

Staying at the Plaza Hotel was more than a hotel stay, it was an experience! From their use of real keys to the stone floors, the Plaza Hotel makes you feel like you're stepping back in time with a vintage experience.
Wake up to enjoy a decadent meal at the Cafe Plaza. Ask the chef to surprise you with whatever he feels like making, and you will not be disappointed! You will leave satisfied and ready to explore the town.

Lovely hotel, extremely clean with fresh decor but old world charm. We stayed in the deluxe king room and thought it was perfect. We were able to walk to Irish Fest (about 1 mile) and returned around 11pm and felt perfectly safe walking back!! We’ll definitely stay here again!!!

Charming hotel with adorable original 1920s and '30s touches to the decor. Wonderful restaurant.

This is a cool hotel that captures the feel of the 1920s. While my room was not ultra modern, it was very clean and comfortable, and the kitchen had everything that I needed. I was in town for triathlons and needed to make my own food for races, so it was perfect. Races were just a few blocks away so I could park and walk everywhere. Super convenient location. I highly recommend staying at The Plaza Hotel.

My boyfriend and stayed in the premier king and it was perfect for us. It had a full kitchen, king bed, and the wardrobe area was nice. I loved having the overhead fan as well as I get super heated. We didn’t have to pay for parking out front so that was nice as well. The building is old but very cool.

I was pleased by how clean the room and bathroom were, and I liked how it had a little kitchenette. With older buildings, the cleanliness can be questionable, but at least the room we stayed in was very clean. No yucky moldy shower or anything. Perfectly nice. quiet. I'd stay there again if something brought be back to that area.

The Plaza is a delightful home away from home in Milwaukee. The front desk staff are outstanding, friendly, and helpful. Cait was so kind when we made our reservation and let her know I had mobility issues. She assured me she had assigned us to a quiet room on the first floor (they have no elevators), and it was perfect. The rooms are large and include a FULL kitchen, a dining table with two very comfortable chairs, lots of closet space and hangers, and a small but well equipped bathroom. Our room overlooked the outdoor dining space for the Cafe at the Plaza, so we usually kept our blinds closed until they closed at 2:00! We ate lunch there twice—very tasty and substantial portions. We used Uber to get around, preferring to leave our car in the hotel’s designated parking for the five days. The hotel is walking distance to many of the city’s attractions and convenient to bus lines. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at the Plaza!

They entire staff went out of there way to accommodate us. A shout out to Chelsea who helped make our first night special. We had a couple friends who are local meet us at the hotel, and Chelsea opened up their patio area so we could enjoy a glass of wine outdoors with our friends.

We loved that the room had a full kitchen and a nearby grocery store. The room was clean and bright and very comfortable. We also appreciated the coin laundry in the basement. The area was quiet with several restaurants a short walk away.
