Room no.5 faced the back, away from the noise from Bantama market. The staff are friendly and helpful (one helped me try to find unrefined Shea butter in the market). And, cut-up fruit is served as part of the breakfast - the first time I've seen this in the other budget and moderate lodges and hotels I've stayed at in Ghana.
336 cedis for a double room I think is too high, particularly as there's no fridge. The high price will encourage me to look harder for a better option if I come to Kumasi again.
There's a 4 seater table in the shade on a small patio. Perhaps a table or two more could be placed below to allow guests to socialise and have breakfast around the same time.

The location was excellent for Kejetia Market and all other amenities including leisure activities, 5 minutes walk from the Cultural Centre. As an observation, the free breakfast omitted a Vegetarian option, which the Manager Frank quickly rectified.
Cannot think of anything.

Friendly and helpful host! Great location for touring.

Patayo is strategically located next to busy Bantama High street, where there are several fast food restaurants, pharmacies etc. It is only 5/10 minutes walk to the Cultural Centre. 10/15 minutes walk to Central Market. Also well connected to the rest of the city through all sorts of local transport.
The structure is a nice colonial building that has been renovated into a welcoming guesthouse. Ideal for tourists who want to experience life in Kumasi. Frank, the manager, is always kind and helpful. Rooms are very big and comfortable, and while there is still too little space for chilling out in the evening with a drink (only a small table with four chairs), Frank says he is making plans for a gazebo which will enhance the place. On the whole, great options foe tourists, as most of the other tourist friendly guesthouses in Kumasi are far from the city centre.

Frank made us a breakfast to order! Fresh fruit, eggs, toast, and hot drinks. Could not have been nicer. Eating outside on the terrace was perfect. Frank arranged a ride for us to the airport. Kind and helpful.

The hotel is new I think and just getting established. The room is very large with lots of windows, a fridge and big bathroom.
The area is great as it's an easy walk to the cultural centre and to Bantama and Kejetia markets. Nonetheless it is very quiet in the hotel - no noise at night.
It was very clean.
The wifi was very good - except when there was a power cut of course!
Frank was very helpful.
Maybe more furniture in the space would be good and a sofa so we could sit near the TV.
Normally places offer a bottle of water in the room on arrival which is welcoming - we paid 4 GHS for a bottle.
We could not make the hot shower work but it did not matter as it was very hot but maybe that should be checked.

Right in the centre of town and close to the market! and good value for money!
The fact that, there was no one to open the gate sometimes! and they didn’t have a generator so we experienced lights out for some hours.

Hi All,
I was looking for great place to stay which would not break my bank, after sometimes of search I realised that Patayo Lodge tickes all the boxes :
- Nice centralised location close to all transport links and restaurant.
- New build , clean and great value for money.
- Great tasty breakfast served every morning at your chosen time.
- On top of all, management is great and will even order an Uber for guest in needs.
I will not fault this guest house, although it is not a big 5 star hotel, it feels like being home!
Well done , management, Please keep up the good standard services.
I will stay there again whenever I am around.
Regards,
Your 12 to 15 of January guess from UK.
Short time power cut, however knowing African countries, that happens to most guess houses.
Some are even worse as I won't names any here that I visited in the past!
Overall, Patayo Logde is a good place to be with tops restaurant very close by!

The room was large, clean and in a excellent condition. The best thing however was the front desk guy: friendly, incredibly helpful and always in a good mood. I already miss him.
No wardrobe in the room, but considering how new the place is they are probably still equipping it.

Very friendly and helpful staff. A new family run hotel, they were still in the process of doing up some of the rooms when I arrived (Dec 2022) but it should be completed very soon. Large spacious rooms. Pleasant grounds to sit in outside and a nice balcony spot for eating breakfast in the morning! Staff/management very willing to help and advise and also to arrange taxis if necessary. I will certainly return on my next trip to Kumasi!
My room did not have a wardrobe or chest of drawers to put any clothes in but that may have been on the management's "to do" list!
It was not easy to find. The Google map location given by Booking.com was inaccurate and the locals did not know where the lodge was. From Bantama High St, just before the G Oil station, turn left onto Suntreso Road. Then turn first right. The lodge is the right hand side.
