At the end of the patio is a view of Mt. Marcy, NY States' highest. Isolation. You have peace and quiet as you enjoy Writers View named for Robert Louis Stevenson, Author who lived across the valley just 1 mile away. Lake Placid, site of the 1980 Winter Olympics is only 9 miles away. Great hiking and wildlife are all around. A special note for guests bringing pets. We have lots of Deer, Bears, Bobcats and other assorted wildlife around. So, you must leash your pets and not let them run free. Or, they may be come pet food. Also, the Chalet is near year round homes that are within sight and approximately 200 to 300 yards away. Even though they are far away, please be cognizant of their privacy.
