Très bien

à 20 minutes de l'aéroport en pleine nuit. 35min en plein jour. C'était parfait pour une "nuit" avant de repartir. La personne qui nous a reçu était adorable et nous avons adoré discuté avec elle et sa mère pendant un moment.

Beaucoup de bruits de la part des voisins de chambre. Mais ce n'est pas la faute des propriétaires...

Guter Start in den Urlaub

Das Essen war hervorragend. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und flexibel. Die Anlage wird rund um die Uhr bewacht. Klimaanlage läuft super.

Felt like a home away from home. Fiendly and welcoming!

Owned by a lovely Kenyan lady who will help you with anything you need. Delicious breakfast and home cooked dinners served on request. Lovely property with a large garden. Rooms are clean with ensuite bathroom and A/C, beds with mosquito net. Great location for us as we had to catch a bus to Arusha from a nearby bus terminal and fairly close to the airport. Great place to stay and value for money!

Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt

Die Gastfreundschaft war außerordentlich. Wir erhielten ausgezeichnete Hinweise zum Buchen von Bustickets und für die Organisation von Transfers. Von der Kontaktufnahme nach der Buchung bis zum Abschied fühlten wir uns ser gut aufgehoben. Für Dar es Salaam war es angenehm ruhig. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis dieser Unterkunft ist ausgezeichnet.

A perfect “touch and go”

Non abbiamo speso molto tempo all’interno della camera ma quest’ultima era molto pulita, personale cordiale e doccia perfettamente funzionante (come anche il condizionatore d’aria). Stella, la proprietaria, sempre disponibile e sorridente, consigliatissimo!

Nice lean comfortable hotel with great owners

The property is very clean and comfortable with nice rooms with good air-con and comfortable beds. The hosts are really lovely and helpful and helped me book a bus to Arusha when it was really busy and they were nearly all sold out.

What a great surprise in Dar es Salaam

What a nice surprise… I was a bit fearing my stay in Dar es salaam as I knew it was an expensive city and hard to find hotels or guesthouses at a decent price, thanks to Stella and her beautiful place, it was such a smooth experience and journey and for me the perfect way to finish a month in Tanzania. The lodge is spacious with nice bedrooms and airconditionning , fantastic food and great location in between bus station , airport and city center. The area is really safe , I can say it as I walked for hours in the neighborhood and everybody was greeting me around. At last but not least, the host Stella is so so welcoming. She helped me last minute with a Uber and I saw how she helped two French girls with sim cards, buses and more . She is truly an exceptional host . It is THE and The only place to go for me now in Dar . Will be back …

Comfortable, safe, great value for money!

I really liked the hospitality, Stella is a great host! The rooms are clean and have everything you need. Simple, with a good feeling to them. I was very happy with my stay at Haika!

Fantastic stay - she organised everything we needed

Really nice host which organised us local snacks for our arrival. She served us a really delicious dinner which was very cheap. She even organised us transports from the harbour to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport as well. It was fantastic.

Very good

Haika Home Lodge is a nice place to stay in Dar. The host is very nice, the room is clean and it has an ensuite bathroom with water (only cold). The host also provided the taxi service from airport to the lodge and, even at a last moment, prepared for us a deliciuos dinner with fish. The place is close to the bus station, not to the city center (we chose it for that purpose).

the room is quite small, there wasn't hot water in the shower.

Perfect for a stopover while travelling

Excellent value for money! It was a last minute booking and we were delighted with our find. Stella is a brilliant host, she had dinner ready when we arrived and served breakfast very early the next morning before we left. She also arranged our transfers from the ferry port and to the airport. It was only a 15 minute drive from the airport. Perfect for a one night stay in Dar es Salaam!

The journey from the ferry took longer than expected (approx 1 hour) due to traffic but we didn't mind because it was a nice opportunity to see some of Dar es Salaam!

Staff are very responsive and friendly. They offer dinner with reasonable price and the dinner was very good. Breakfast also fulfilling and delicious.

Gorgeous little residence in Dar Essalam, not too far from the airport, lovely rooms, delicious breakfast and super friendly hosts!

Traffic in the area can be dense to get there / other places like the airport, but the residence itself and surrounding roads are very quiet! Just plan ahead and all will be fine

Very clean place with a cozy and familiary atmosphere. Very good breakfast and dinner and fair prices. Stella and her family are making you feel comfortable and they are very helpful. Thank you so much. The garden is an oasis.

Superb

Very friendly staff and great attention to service. I was very happy with my stay, and was an excellent option for an overnight due to an airport transfer. They were attentive, punctual, and made sure I was comfortable.

I think the sheets could have been a bit better, since they were synthetic, but the value for money is extremely competitive compared to other options. Also, the wifi was spotty at times; I don't think you'd be able to do much more than social media on the network.

Nice well-managed place

Clean room with a big picture window that slides open and has a mesh to block the bugs. There were hardly any mosquitoes when I stayed but there is a mosquito net on the comfortable bed, just in case. The hostess Stella and her family were very nice and easy to talk to - they stay in a detached building on the premises that is their house. The assistant David is very helpful. The local/westerm breakfast is excellent that changes every day. Good wifi. Well-priced accommodation.

The location is in a suburb that's a bit far from places of interest but local transport is easy to find from the main street 5 minutes walk away.

great host

Simple but comfortable, very clean room. The host Stella speaks very good English and was extraordinary helpful in organizing a bus to Arusha for me.

The only problem for me was the location. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Kilimanjaro express bus stop. But it’s still a 30min walk, including some dark alleys. At 5am every Uber and bolt driver declined the ride

Home away from home

They made us feel home from the first moment. They helped us to get internet in our phones and also pur bus tickets. Breakfast was excellent. They were the best hosts upu can wish for.

great hotel, very comfortable for airport stays

super comfortable bed and all very clean, no frills hotel but everything you need. felt very safe also. great for overnight for airport and lovely staff. helping us with local transport was so appreciated, thank you Stella.

helpful host and pleasant stay

Stella really went out of her way to assist us with getting bus tickets and organizing our trip. We left very early in the morning but she gave us some fresh fruit for the way. She is also a very interesting person to spend time with.

Stella was amazing in everything. She treated me like an old friend or a sister. Breakfast was delicious. They have the best mango smoothie. The room was clean and airy. And the patio or balcony in the morning was something else.
