About this house rental
*The pool can be heated from October - March. Three days advance notice (prior to your arrival) is required if you would like to heat the pool. There is an additional charge of $150 per day to cover the propane usage/cost it incurs. The pool must be heated for the entirety of the reservation. An exquisite, handcrafted home, blending contemporary with warm rustic elegance, in a Hill Country setting on 34 private acres. Relax on the porch in a rocking chair, enjoy snuggling up by the the indoor fireplace, read a book while soaking in the hot tub, or just do nothing at all - this is relaxation at its best! The open living, kitchen, and dining areas make it convenient for your family and friends to enjoy quality time no matter where they prefer to hang out. The game room was designed with both kids and adults in mind. Enjoy a night of poker around the game table, a competitive game of shuffleboard, or bust one of the good old fashioned family board games. Although the home only has 4 bedrooms, the owners very thoughtfully and strategically created a way for groups as large as 13 guests to enjoy the space together comfortably. The outdoor amenities do not disappoint offering a grill area, outdoor fire pit, a brand new swimming pool! Bedroom/Bed Configuration: Master Bedroom – 1 King bed Bedroom 2 – 1 King bed, 1 Twin bed Bedroom 3 – 1 Queen bed Bedroom 4 – 2 Queen beds, 1 Twin bed Bonus Room – 1 Twin bed PET POLICY: Pets are only allowed if they have been registered prior to your arrival. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed and a pet fee of $25.00 per pet, per night will be added once your pets are approved. SELF CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS: All reservations will be required to sign a rental agreement and provide Hills of Texas Lodging with a valid credit card to be placed on file for their stay. In lieu of charging a damage deposit or non-refundable damage waiver, a temporary hold will be placed on a credit card upon arrival for incidentals (just like they do at hotels). We are basically just verifying with your financial institution that sufficient funds are available in the event they were needed to cover property damage(s). If there are no property damages, the card will not be charged.

My men's group stayed here for a long weekend. It was everything we were looking for: clean, spacious, lots of space outside, nice kitchen, beautiful view. The owners were very responsive to whatever questions we had. We get together every year, and this is by far the best place we've found in several years. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful time here. The home is gorgeous, cozy and was perfect for the 6 of us. Beautifully appointed, comfy beds and linens were heavenly. Bathrooms are updated. Kitchen had everything we needed. The pool and hot tub were heated and so much fun to enjoy on cold days. We'll be back!

We had plenty of room for our group of 6 adults and 2 children. The large outdoor area was great for our dog and kids. We were very comfortable at this house.

The house is as pictured and the outdoor patio, covered cooking area and pool are very nice. We enjoyed our long weekend stay, however, when we arrived on Friday we found the coffee pot carafe was cracked and unusable. We called the after hours number to report it and ask if there was another one available, and the answering service said they would report it. We never heard back from anyone. We had to run out and get coffee pods to use in the Keurig. No one has called me back to this day. Hard to believe the lack of customer service.

The property was in great shape with something for everyone. The games, indoor and outdoor, were fantastic. Also, a great place to explore hill country from as it is convenient to numerous tourist locations.

Beautiful property and loved the layout of the cute farmhouse.
Plenty of space for our entire party. Nice relaxing home. Home is on a well system so water has a sulphur/egg smell. Definitely bring simple items like Ziploc baggies, foil, extra paper towels spices.
There is an H-E-B a few minutes down the road so if you forget something no big deal.
Quaint little town of Wimberly is fun to explore.
We had a great weekend and loved the area!

The house is in a great location, spacious for the whole family. Interior design is welcoming and very farmhouse. Overall we loved the house. But just so others are aware, the water is terrible. It stinks every time you turn it on and in the bath it has a brownish coloring. My husband refused to shower in it. Even washing dishes cause the interior of the house to smell like septic.
Also the house isn’t stocked with everyday household items such as foil, condiments, and some items that are often forgotten. I’ve stayed in other homes in area for the past 5 years and all supplied such items. The 3 baths was nice so that the kids had their own bathroom and the adults didn’t have to share.
I will say it was very well stocked with cooking utilities and we absolutely loved the ice maker!
The yard has frisbee golf but no disc. The house has horseshoes but not adequate pits for playing.
The grilling area is nicely lite up and stocked with the grilling essentials. The hot tub was a hit every night after a long day in the sun.
We did found scorpions on a daily basis.
We spent the night sitting on porch in rocking chairs watching the sun set, it is beautiful scenery.
The most disappointing thing I would have to say is the lack of response/ delayed response from the property manager and water smell.

Everyone in our group said this was one of the best VRBOs we have stayed in. The property and amenities were beautiful. It was a quick 20 min away from city life but far enough to have peace and privacy. The disc golf, poker & shuffle tables were a really fun touch for us. Plenty of sleeping areas for everyone and a huge beautiful kitchen where everyone could enjoy our time together. Loved our stay!

My family and I had a great vacation exploring Wimberley and floating the river! Everyone loved the house, very spacious inside, and a nice outdoor area for entertainment. Shiloh was a great host, easy to get in contact with, and accommodating! Highly recommend staying here for your getaway, we certainly plan to again!

The property had ample room for our big family to relax, play games outside, and enjoy the game room. It was also close enough to all the activities that we wanted to enjoy off the property. Even though it was warm outside sitting on the front porch was enjoyable. We would recommend this property to others looking for room to spread out.

Spacious and secluded large private property in the Texas hill country that was perfect for our group gathering. Lots of games in the game room and an incredible backyard to enjoy. New appliances too! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

We enjoyed this property with its large gathering areas as well as the hot tub. The house layout was great for our large group. If you’re city folk, be sure to wear footwear at all times and watch out for scorpions!

We absolutely loved our weekend at the Farmhouse. We had 7 adults, 4 kids (3-7) and a one year old, and we had more than enough space to gather/eat/play but also felt like we had ample room to have our own spaces as well. This was key for nap times/earlier bed times for the younger 2 kids. It did look like a larger kitchen/bar in photos, but again it was plenty space for our group of 12. The solo queen room is very small (see other reviews), but the closet was large enough for suitcase, and with a noise machine was not a problem being right off the living room. The kitchen was well stocked, and we used the buffet/shelves in the dining room to store snacks and dry food since there isn’t a pantry space. This actually worked great for kids and grab and go! The double ovens were nice for cooking for our large group. We loved the back porch, fire pit and hot tub! We used the propane grill and spent a lot of time outside. The property is quiet and feels very private. Shiloh was extremely responsive and promptly answered any and all questions both before and after our arrival. The shuffle board isn’t in the best shape, but our kids loved playing/learning the game on it. We loved the disc golf course also! It was really nice that so many hot tub towels were provided so that we didn’t have to deal with traveling with wet beach towels.

The house was great. It was out in the beautiful hill country, there was plenty of parking (we had family from several parts of the state and therefore several vehicles), it was well stocked with linens and towels. Our family loved being together and enjoyed the house very much.

Everything about this house was beautiful!! Very spacious and comfortable, we loved everything and will come back again!! Enjoyed our trip to the Blue Hole and Jacobs Well which is also very close. Enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and bbq outside all while enjoying the country side!

We loved this house! Hot tub, outdoor grill, and shuffle board table all worked great. They had a bumper pool table but no pool sticks, so if you want to play bring your own. We also brought our own discs for the disc golf course but as other reviews have mentioned it was a bit overgrown. I don’t know if the hosts have a map of the course, we should have asked! The huge wraparound porch was a great place to sit and enjoy the quiet property. Plenty of towels, dishes, etc. Kitchen had everything except we didn’t see any k-cups for the keurig so bring a few if you want to use it! A great stay and would definitely recommend.
As far as the surrounding area, we went to Canyon Lake, which was a 10-15 minute drive, and to Blue Hole Regional Park in Wimberley, also about 10-15 minutes. The park had a swimming hole that required reservations but also had a basketball and volleyball court and some nice trails. Getting in to San Marcos took about 20 minutes each time. We floated the San Marcos river, very clean water. Target and Walmart were both 20 minutes away. Fun trip!

We had a group of 7 ladies stay here for a bachelorette party and we had the best time! So close to everything yet secluded on the property allowing for maximum relaxation! Everything was perfect!

Our family of 10 truly enjoyed our stay at The Farmhouse. The layout of the home was excellent for our group with an outdoor space the worked really well for grilling, hanging out and playing corn hole (we brought the game). The disc golf feature was a draw for us because our sons play quite a bit. Unfortunately, as another guest commented, the grass was really high and the layout of the course wasn’t enjoyable to play.
