Cabin was very nice and beautiful location and views. Problems are there is no place for full trash bags and you have to take to a dump 3 miles away. All of the air vents were closed upon arrival. The oven bake does not work, only broil works. The downstairs guest bath had some issues with the toilet. And to top it all off the owner would not text back. But overall it was nice, just too expensive for dealing with those issues. I would most likely stay again.

We found this place to be really beautiful in its layout,comfort,decor and stunning views! Every need was attended too from kitchen utensils and appliances to ample supplies of toilet paper and paper towels. I am used to bringing my own! I do feel it could have been a tad cleaner for this price but other than that this place met and exceeded all our hopes for a wonderful fall retreat.

Beautiful cabin and lake

My wife and I have stayed at several lake houses in Western Carolina and found this to be our favorite. The house is very pretty inside and out with fantastic views of the lake especially from the living room and dining room on the main floor where we spent most of our time. There are only 3 steps from the parking area to the front door which made it easy for my wife who has mobility issues. Although there is a road between the house and the lake it is barely visible and we noticed not even a single car per day go down the road. It was surprising how few people were staying in the neighborhood during the week.

We so enjoyed our stay at the Dragonfly Cottage. The pictures don't do this property justice - the views from every room are just spectacular, and the house itself is cozy and upscale - an ideal mountain house. This was the perfect place to relax and unwind with our young children. We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding from the lakefront lot, and we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet and peaceful Lake Santeetlah is, even on the busiest holiday weekend of the year. The owners are also so friendly and took time to provide additional neighborhood insights. We'll definitely be back!

Property was great been traveling to this same location for about 20 years always perfect only have one suggestion for the property really need to have an outside trash can so you have somewhere to put your trash until you take it to the dumpster when you leave other than that I would definitely rent this property again and probably will

Four middle aged women from four different states and backgrounds all agreed that this was an outstanding home for our wilderness reunion. We reminisced and told whoppers in the dining room overlooking the lake, and talked into the evening gathered around the fireplace in the lovely and comfortable main room. After a long day of talking and hiking, we appreciated ending the days in such restful and well-appointed bedrooms. It was a perfect reunion, and the house provided the backdrop to make it so.
This is a beautiful house that you won’t forget. The property offers everything you need for cooking, socializing and unwinding in this unusual and gorgeous area of the USA.

Our group of 7 came here for a weekend getaway to enjoy some trails and the lake. We all loved the house and all of its amenities. We will be back, planning another visit soon. 😀

The house was just as pictured and described….but, even better. The view was spectacular…..mountains surrounding the sparkling blue lake. We had all we needed in the kitchen and we were all nice and comfortable in our bedrooms.
The house is quite attractively decorated. The owner was very responsive to my questions. We highly recommend this house and would love to stay there, again !

I spent a few days here over the Thanksgiving holiday with my family and we absolutely loved it! This peaceful, comfy cabin has gorgeous lake views and is close to areas with waterfront picnic spots, fishing, and hiking. The perfect combination of tasteful, modern touches and rustic charm inside and out made us feel right at home. Our host was very helpful and accommodating as well, and we'd be glad to go back some day!
