We’d also recommend visiting the market town of Stokesley, located a few miles from the property. Getting Around: Great Ayton has great bus and train links to surrounding areas such as Middlesbrough, Stokesley and Whitby. Hop on the 28A route which travels between Middlesbrough and Stokesley. There's a direct train service to Great Ayton on the Whitby – Middlesbrough – Sunderland – Newcastle line. For travellers from further afield, the best connections are made via York.
