Located in Golden, Colorado, this 2 level, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home offers plenty of space for the guest to stay, but cozy and serine to enjoy the family gathering. This home is adjacent to North Table Mountain Park. A 1,998 acre refuge, managed by Jefferson County, that boasts 17 miles of trails with incredible views of both downtown Denver and the Rocky Mountains. You will love the fully-equipped kitchen! Plenty of space to prepare a meal from simple to gourmet. There is a BBQ grill right outside. Relax in front of the gas-burning fireplace or upstairs in the atrium - perfect for chilly evenings together. Don’t want to be inside? Perfect! Hiking & cycling (road & mountain) – are incredible & easily accessible. Bring your hiking boots! It is a wonderful place to take a walk in the morning or at dusk, when you are most likely to run into our most populous neighbors - the elk, deer, turkeys & the occasional red fox. They're beautiful, majestic & look harmless. But it's not advisable to try to pet or feed them. Historic downtown Golden is a quick one mile walk from the house. Settled in 1859, it retains much of its old west charm. Dining options are a plenty as well as wonderful & unique shopping, music, galleries, & nightlife. Golden offers a day's worth of activities, in any season. In winter, there's snowshoeing, fat tire biking, & cross-country skiing. If you visit over New Year's, celebrate by roasting marshmallows by firelight, gazing at ice thrones & watching the falling ice star & fantastic firework display at midnight. In summer, enjoy fishing, kayaking, golfing, fly fishing, hiking, biking. There's also a music festival, named the UllGrass Festival. . Interstate 70 is a 5 minute drive from the Retreat and it offers a short drive to Denver, Evergreen and Idaho Springs. The Ski towns of Breckenridge, Vale and Aspen are not far from Golden. Mount Evens is a short drive away – Hike a 14-er (or drive up North America's highest paved road!), rock climb, ice climb, or just enjoy the alpine beauty. Red Rocks Amphitheater is 15 minutes way. Besides being a great concert venue, it's gorgeous, & ideal for hiking. Please know that traveling in Colorado in the months of November through April, you will need a 4 wheel (4WD) or all wheel drive (AWD) vehicle. The Golden Townhouse was perfect for our group of 9 family members in town for a family wedding. Very clean and very convenient to downtown Golden. Bryan was great to work with. Enjoyed walking downtown and the close proximity to breweries , trails, and of course the wedding venue. :) Would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect to explore Golden on foot. A great place to stay with a group. The large bedroom was perfect for our family with kids since it had the two beds. Not a ton of seating in common spaces. Lots of towels provided and beds were super comfortable! Only one tv in common space none in bedrooms.

We enjoyed our stay in Golden minus the broken toilet issue we had. It was resolved quickly but wonder why it wasn’t fixed before we got there. It was obviously broken and appeared that someone tried to fix it but unsuccessfully. Overall, great location within a short walk to restaurants and downtown Golden.

Our stay was perfect; the home was very spacious; four families never felt crowded! Clean House, appreciated the supplies provided by the owner and extra towels! House convenient to everything. The host was absolutely easy to communicate with before and during the trip. Highly recommend!

The location was good and the house mostly as described. The beds were pretty comfortable but the downstairs bed had stains on the sheets. These stains came out when we washed them so they obviously weren't washed before our stay. The upstairs toilet did not flush. The downstairs half bath toilet worked but leaked from somewhere and therefore the floor was always wet. There was vomit on the porch and overall the property could use a deep clean.

Bryan has a nice home that is very quiet. He was responsive and able to get ahold of prior to our visit. The house is conveniently located to downtown Golden which worked well for our family.

The house was as listed and had plenty of space for our family of 6 and 2 dogs. Loved that we could easily walk to Golden. We did not receive check-in instructions until just a couple hours before check in and after I reached out to host and VRBO. This was nerve wracking. The AC did not work the entire stay. The host was slow to communicate and it was not fixed. Overall the location was excellent, we loved that it was walking distance to town. The home was clean and the beds were comfortable. The showers worked well and there was plenty of space for everyone.

This is a really nice house in an awesome location very close to downtown Golden. It is on a busy corner so the street noise was definitely noticeable. The house itself was very clean and spacious with all of the basics. The reason I gave it only 4 stars was that there were a few issues that made this a bit of a stressful experience. The 1st evening and the next morning we had no hot water. There was also a problem with the internet and a broken toilet. I contacted the property manager, Bryan, who was very responsive and came out the next day. A plumber was dispatched and both plumbing issues were resolved by that afternoon. We did however continue to have internet and WIFI issues for the next couple of days. Bryan did try to resolve those and eventually did so but not before 3 of us had to find a place outside of the property where we could find WIFI as we work remotely. The last evening before our check out the light fixture from the ceiling fan fell off and onto the bed in the middle of the night. Luckily no one was hurt. I think this definitely has the potential to be an awesome place to stay once all of the kinks are worked out and I have no doubt they will be. This was just not a very relaxing stay for our family.
