Everything was amazing...from our greeting at reception to check-out...the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our room was lovely - comfortable and clean with a stunning view of the mountains and the castle :) Wellness Facilities were excellent and breakfast was tasty with an amazing variety. The hotel is in a great location with only a few minutes walk to the beautiful little village of Gruyeres. We loved our stay and would highly recommend!

Great location within the very scenic village of Gruyeres. Great breakfast with excellent freshly prepared food. Very nice views over the Gruyeres castle and the beautiful nature around.
there is a brand new conference center and wellness that we did not try out.
Our rooms were a little bit small, but these were the last available ones. There are also larger rooms at the property.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The check in and check out process was quick and uncomplicated. Everything worked and was clean, great breakfast and great restaurant.
I would recommend only going for "comfort" rooms. The "basic double room with mountain view" sounds great but it's really not a pretty room. Yellow walls, very 90s, poor lighting and strange setup. These specific rooms aren't even shown in the foto gallery on booking.com which is quite misleading.
We assumed the room would be fine but were quite disappointed. Luckily we were able to change and upgrade to a better room without any problems.
Also, the spa-facilities seemed a bit neglected by the hotel.

I stayed at this hotel and I must say that the staff was very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. They were able to meet all of my requests and did everything they could to make my stay as enjoyable as possible.
Unfortunately, there was an issue with the cleanliness of my room. The floor was not satisfactory, with traces of dust and dirt everywhere. Additionally, we found a dead fly on the floor and a hair on the pillow which left us puzzled. This certainly had a negative impact on our overall experience at the hotel.

Beautiful, a bit old-fashioned and a bit small room with a nice balcony to sit outside and to enjoy the very beautiful view. Varied breakfast. Easy to access free parking. It is ideally located right at the bottom of the small old town of Gruyere (1 minute walk). Very friendly staff at the reception and in the restaurant.

The hotel has its own parking spaces, which is a huge plus given the location and size of the town. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The rooms have a cosy, rural Swiss charm. Nice view to the mountains.
The on site restaurant is a big bonus.

Great location, very charming little hotel near the village and the view from the dining room is absolutely breathtaking. The room was very clean and the breakfast was excellent.
There's no air conditioning in the rooms and fans are in limited supply! If you stay there in the summer it can get a little hot.

The room view is beautiful and comfortable
There are not informations about bus to the properly which is hard to arrive if you have suitcases. The taxis are EXTREMELY Expensive.

The location is just perfect. At the gate of Gruyeres. Only 2 min walk and you are in the medieval village
A minibar would be a good addition to the room. Also a bathroom mat would be nice to avoid slippery floors when you go out of the bath/shower.

Location. Parking spaces were free. Breakfast was great.
The hotel will charge 20 CHF per night for a dog. The rooms do not have AC and they get hot and stay hot. The bed was small and your feet will hang over the end. The furniture does not have many shelves for clothes. The pillows were hard.

The location was excellent!
I wish we had a window that opened. The fan in the room was helpful, but not was just too hot without a window to open.

Staff welcomed us very friendly at the check-in and offered a relaxing time in spa area, which was a great idea after a day of hiking.
The spa with sauna was in good condition.
For breakfast which we booked separately we found all what we wanted incl. local food specialties. Also very friendly service.
Close parking place available.
Unfortunately the partner restaurants were fully booked so we ate somewhere else.
The room close to the stairs isn’t soundproof, but to be heard only if guests arrive.

It is a cute little hotel with very friendly staff.
We had a room with a very beautiful mountain view.
The breakfast was really nice.

Hotel is very quaint and rooms have basic amenities. Views and location were the best. Convenient parking. Very comfortable beds and typical Swiss high quality of cleanliness which to me are the two most important things in a hotel.
Gentleman at front desk said he would make a reservation for us for dinner at a local restaurant. When we arrived there they did not have record of receiving the reservation. A little embarrassing but they were gracious and able to accommodate us. Breakfast was a little sparse compared with other Swiss hotels we stayed at.

I stayed in this hotel for a long period after finishing a renting contract. The employees of the hotel were extremely kind and comprehensive regarding the special situation. They could manage to provide me extra support on some specific requests. The view over the prealps from Gruyere is fantastic (Moleson, Dent du Chamois), the breakfast was excellent. It was a pleasure to end a 3 years stay in the canton of Fribourg in this charming hotel, during Christmas time.
Thank you to the team!
