The Sister Lake Cottages are for your private use with an easy self-check-in process to accommodate various arrival times. There is a private entrance, at each cottage, with your own access code that will function between your check-in and check-out times. After you and your group come back after a great day of exploring, everyone will find their cottage fully stocked, cozy, & private! This listing is for 5 out of the 7 total cottages. (sleeps 4) Sister Lake Cottage 3: The main bedroom has a double bed, please note the second bedroom is a sleeper sofa that folds into a double bed size. (sleeps 4) Sister Lake Cottage 4: The main bedroom has a queen bed, please note the sleeper sofa is located in a common space. (sleeps 4) Sister Lake Cottage 6: The bedroom has queen sized bed and there is a full-size sleeper sofa in the living room. (sleeps 4) Sister Lake Cottage 7: The bedroom has a queen bed and the pullout couch is in the living. The sofa sleeper is a double-sized bed. (sleeps 4) Cottages 1 & 5 are not included in your reservation unless they are added on. If you add one or both cottages to your reservation, here are their layouts. Sister Lake Cottage 1: The main bedroom contains a King-sized bed, sofa bed, and a loft over the king-size bedroom with a full-size bed and 1 bathroom. (sleeps 6) Sister Lake Cottage 5: The main bedroom has a queen bed, bedroom #2 also has a queen bed, and please note that bedroom #3 has two queen beds. There is also a full-sized sleeper sofa in the living room. (sleeps 10) Our Policy: For groups of more than 16 guests for vacation stays or events, please contact us directly. Big Crooked Lake and Little Crooked Lake are within 1 mile from the cottage and they are both all-sports lakes. They are nearly the same size - Little Crooked is 103 acres, Big Crooked 110 - their shape and the lay of the land leave Big Crooked with nearly twice as much shoreline. Not only is this home conveniently located to tourist attractions but great restaurants as well. Take an evening stroll to the Sisters Lakes Brewing company of 14 microbrews produced by the owner's family or the Strand Brewery & Grill. Other dining and shopping are in Dowagiac and nearby towns. There are also public parks in the area as well as golf courses, wineries, breweries, theaters, shopping, and the Four Winds Casino in Dowagiac. The resort town of St. Joseph on Lake Michigan is only 20 minutes away. Looking for a little adventure outside of water sports... Check out the snowmobile trail that runs between Sister Lakes and Grand Rapids and a biking trail that runs between Sister Lakes and the airport in Dowagiac. The surrounding countryside is part of the Michigan fruit belt, with wineries and apple, strawberry, peach, and cherry farms with roadside stands or you-pick excursions. Great restaurants less than 1 mile away and multiple lakes to enjoy on a nice summer day within 0.1 – 1 mile from your stay! Only ~25 miles from Notre Dame University and other Beaches in the area!! Daily rental pricing per item: 2 Single Kayak - $35 Double Kayak - $45 2 Canoes - $50 Please Note: The guest count you provide must be accurate as there can be additional guest fees. Notify us if you need to adjust the guest count before arrival. A fine of $25 per night will be applied for each undeclared guest. Reminder: If a guest missed the checkout time, additional fees will be added. If more than 2 hours past checkout, we will charge for an additional day. If you would like to use the grill during your stay please bring a fire starter and charcoal. Also please bring your own wood for the fire pit. Please note there are cameras monitoring the outside of the units and parking area. There are three cameras on the front of unit three, one camera on the back of unit three, and one camera in the front of unit 6. Exterior security cameras are in use.
