We just came back from this resort . We stayed 4 days at one of the apartments. From the beginning it was clear we were the only foreigners at this hotel. The reception and probably other guest are not used to foreigners at this place.
Did not eat at the restaurant as they were asking for 25 euros per person /per meal. You could easily walk to one of the restaurants and have better food for that price.
We wanted to use the washing machine to wash our clothes and were given a run around. We were sent to two different places. Felt like if you don't ask, they will not give you any information. Probably everyone goes there knows where everything is. But for us it was not the case. Air conditioning in our rooms made loud noises , only provided 2 really thin pillows per room. There was no sign of where is what and how to get A-B.
Only positive was the beach. Beautiful sand, nice water to swim in. But will not be coming back to this place.

Room was way away from the beach and run down. No Wifi in rooms.

There was no name board of Family Beach Village on the street. We were confused that google map mention this hotel on the same point but there is no name plate with this name. The Family Apartment was closed for a long time was very smelly. The bulbs in bathroom were defected. There was no toilet paper in the bath. Although hotel crew fixed these problems after our complaint. Next morning there was big miss understanding among hotel reception and restaurant for our breakfast. When we reached for breakfast almost ever thing was finished. The waiters in restaurant told us that the breakfast time is over since 9 AM although hotel reception told us the breakfast time is upto 10 AM. After a long conversation restaurant manager was personally involved in this matter and apologized for miss understanding among hotel crew. At least we were served with breakfast only the half of things because many of them were already finished. At the end hotel reception asked us to pay for breakfast although breakfast was included in our booking that we had already paid by Expedia. After a short conversation the receptionist was convinced that we have already paid for the breakfast.

Is a long walk from the parking lot to the reception.
Be prepared to pay extra "Resort fees" to use their private beach, swimming pool and other entertainment

Family Friendly staff, nice big hotel near the beach.breakfast also very good. A gas stove for cooking was inside, but probably not intended for using. We got a good price probably because it was off-season.

We have stayed in this hotel for 5nights last week of May. Apartment had small kitchen with cooker and fridge which was useful for us. Location was good for sightseeing and the seaside. But room service terrible. When we arrived our room felt very dusty and you could see a lot of dust on the surfaces and the floor, felt like room was not cleaned since last season. Then no one cleaned it for the whole 5days of our stay, we did not even have clean towels. On day three we run out of toilet roll and asked cleaning ladies who were next door, we were hoping finally they would clean our room but nothing has happened, they just left toilet paper on our doorstep. On our last night after busy day in the city we have discovered that our bathroom is flooded and we are unable to get washed. We had to lay towels down onto the floor so we could still use the toilet. Water was dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom, this kept us awake all night, so all were extremely tired before catching our early morning flight. I was trying to contact reception but telephone in our room did not work. Bathroom door handle was falling off as soon as you tried to close the door. Such a shame as hotel has great sea front location with nice sandy beach, just wish they looked after their customers a bit better. Would not stay again and would not recommend.

It is a nice place, clean rooms, good shower, with constant water temperature :) the staff was helpful, but we were accidentally there with a large group of students, who made lots of noise almost to morning, so we slept only 3 hours :) Check your neighbours before book the room, or enjoy the party all night long :)

Trip was for a conference in a local hotel. It was out of season (late October) so the neighbourhood and hotel appeared to be in hibernation. Hotel was comfortable and clean.

Really looked great, but we went in October, so it was empty and everything was put away...tables, umbrellas, beach chairs. You could imagine it was very beautiful in the summer.

We are a a family of seven, and this was the right place for us. It was family friendly. Our rooms had lofts, which the kids thought were great. The buffet style eating was a hit with our kids. The beach and pool were also high on the kids list.

B&b stay, 7nights. Sparse location, Difficulty finding out how to get local bus tkt details for Pisa or Livorno. Can hear people in next room breathing. Cooking facility in room but no knives, forks, only two small plates. Tin pot to boil water. Two gas rings only & two pots. Staff gave no details on arrival re: reserved sun beds , evening meal facility but pay @reception first. We found out the hard way as the week progressed, sent back n forth to reception and no one could explain what was required. Very, very little english spoken. Difficulty in any staff understanding questions. Only italians had named tables. We felt like 2nd class guests. No shop on site. Hotel expects guests to take their own room rubbish to bins outside hotel across the main road. Told the sun beds under number 11umbrella were ours for the week as we reserved and paid for these but other guests were given our paid for beds and we were given hassle about this as beach staff spoke little english when we asked which sunbeds do we use now as all beds reserved. Positive things: hot shower & good air conditioning and weather good. Despite expedia stating language spoken: italian & english. That was not so.

Arrived 10 pm and receptionist does not have reservation states we reserved through expedia which we did not. Medical waste on beach found 2 hypodermic needles and one bottle for syringe injection with medical tubing told staff. They are more concerned with charging you separate charge for beach chair and making you buy a bathing cap to go into pool. Isn't that ironic medical waste on beach and the are worried about your hair ion pool

Very nice, close to all the major Pisa attractions but none of the busy city traffic problems.

The hotel stay was overall ok for the price. The room and bathroom was clean. The reception staff understood english. The bathroom had alot of water on the floor each time we had a shower. The blind in the room did not work and was told this would be corrected the next day but was not sorted throughout the stay which meant the bedroom on the upper floor was dark. The beach was not the cleanest but was ok. wifi not free. The area has alot of mosquitos in the evening. I would recommend if staying in this hotel or this area to take mosquito repellents.

Friendly staff, excellent service and very pleasant surroundings.

Location was good, lovely clean beach, easy access from hotel. Had a little shop, pool, but nothing else to do in the place. The breakfast was very basic, only bread/ cheese/ ham/ drinks, so that needs to be improved on as well as the 'local information' in the rooms.

If you want to have a beach break connected with Pisa and Florence seeing is good one,
Got buses everywhere
From Pisa airport there is a bus to pisa train central station and city centre cost €1.10 journey time about 10 minuts,
Train from Pisa train station to Florence €14 return journey time 1h,
Then about 700 yards away from pisa train station (straight to first roundabout then left and they on your right )there are buses to Tirenia (your hotel) cost €2,30 one way journey time about 30-35 minuts.
Tirenia it self nothing to see :) small shops and Pharmacy about 100 yards away from resort turning right, further down you got Livorno city centre ( biggest shipping port ) with shops and restaurants about 2 miles, then about 2 miles Tirenia centre with bigger shops, nice restaurants and supermarkets turning left (about 40 minuts beach walk, or 6-7 minuts bus ride towards Pisa )

The appartment was an extremely good value for money.
The appartment itself was very clean, especially the bathroom. The bed was a little uncomfortable, but other than that no complaints.
The small terrace garden was secluded enough.
Very close to the beach which was totally wonderfull.
I would definately come here again.

The pool was nasty and not usable. The deck was full of weeds. The room was okay, but the stairs to the loft were very rickety. The restaurant was closed. The grounds were horrid. You couldn't find your way into the place because of the construction out front, there was no visibility of the hotel. This place was supposed to be a family beach resort, we couldn't do anything there. Not to mention, the beach was disgusting! I am sooo disappointed and we will never go back there!

Fantastic family hotel. I took 4 children aged between 6 and 15 years and we had a great time in this hotel. Check-in staff were extremely nice and helpful. They did not charge us for the extra person without us even asking, and even helped carry our luggage to the room. There are enough English-speaking staff around, and those whose who didn't, it was still fun to try to communicate with them. The room was exactly as described and appeared in the pictures. The pool was fantastic and so was the beach. The pizzeria/cafe serves excellent food and usual Italian hot drinks. The entertaintment programme is exclusively in Italian, but then the majority of the residents are Italian! The hotel surroundings are not the greatest. However, that's what one would expect for the money. A minimarket, bakery and coffee bars are within 5 minutes walk. A larger supermarket is around 2 km away. There are plenty of restaurant, although we didn't eat in any of them, as we tended to go out daily for day excursions into Tuscany and Liguria. Overall, I found this hotel very nice and enjoyable, contrary to what I read in some of the reviews on google. A car is probably essential, as is an a basic understanding of Italian culture.
