My friends and I booked for a quick last minute end of season trip. Perfect home, and Don is such an easy going host. We had a wonderful time relaxing with a very short walk to the ocean, restaurants and pier. Would love to stay again!

Nice quiet stay

We really enjoyed our stay. We don’t spend much time in the cottage, so we are really pretty laid back. There was a bit of confusion on the time that we could check in, so the cleaners arrived after we did. The guests before us left a mess from their dog(s) which was not great, but Don, the owner, was very responsive and worked hard with the cleaning crew to make sure things were resolved. I was very pleased with his communication and making sure we were satisfied.

My family had the best time at CoCo’s Cottage. Don was a wonderful host!

This house is a short walk to the beach and pier. It is also close to any stores or restaurants you want to go to. It was a nice stay. We went in the off season end of May first of June so the weather was in the 60's and so was the water temperature.

This is like traveling to a family beach house, full of great memories, and a simpler time. It’s a two block walk to the ocean, two block walk to Target, *very* short drive to anything you need groceries-wise. The neighborhood is quieter than I expected. Close to lots of attractions and restaurants. Again— it’s absolutely perfect for a family getaway.

We had a great time at Donald’s house. It’s really cozy and comfortable. Our fur babies had lots of fun at the beach! The owner was very responsive to our needs. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time, right by the beach

We were about to get a hotel for a short girls weekend, but finding a cottage at this price in this location was much more rewarding. Having rented several cottages over the years I know it's the little things that matter. The location was amazing on a corner lot with plenty of parking. Walking distance to several restaurants/bars, and the pier was crucial to us, but the little things make the difference. Water pressure, nice new pillows and mattresses, dog gates on the deck (though we didn't have them this time, but those are must if you have dogs or kids), 2 full bathrooms, ice maker, and TVs all working and in great shape, etc. The place is clean, comfy and no frills with check in or check out. More fun than rules and red tape! Loved the entire process and our host was super friendly. I know if anything had gone wrong he would have taken care of it. Already plan on going back for sure.

This was a great spot. I loved that there were two bathrooms so I didn’t have to share with sons. We enjoyed eating and relaxing on the deck. The kitchen was better stocked with things than my own kitchen at home. Everything was very cozy. Bring towels and sheets with you. Short walk to the beach and you can hear the ocean from the balcony. I would stay here again.

**TOWELS AND LINENS NOT PROVIDED ** Just wanted to make that clear to everyone since the only place it is notated on this post is at the very end of a long paragraph about how this house is "not perfect" and not to come with "five star expectations". Well apparently to this owner a "five star expectation" is for the house to be clean. When we first arrived to the house we were so happy with the cozy looking house even though it is very dated (as expected), but once we started to actually try to get settled in, take showers, and got to bed we realized the house had not been properly cleaned. On the mattress of the bed, which had been covered with the comforter you see in the photos, there was a toenail and it was covered in small hairs. The shower still had used bar soap from the previous guest, the floors still had tufts of dog hair, and there were living roaches in the kitchen (I specify that they were living because when we told the owner he said dead roaches are to be expected because the house had been recently treated for them), and "community food" in the cabinets that has been expired for 2/3 years(probably one of the reasons for the roaches). When I contacted the owner about these issues he blamed his new cleaning person and referred to the fact that his posting states the house is not perfect. He also kept insisting that the house had been cleaned this Thursday even after I sent him picture proof that it had obviously not been cleaned. I then asked that the "cleaning fee" be refunded since we would need to clean for our selves in order to safely sleep here. The owner responded "There are supplies under the sink and there are 2 vacuums if you must clean to meet your standards.".

Don told us he is a relatively new host but he was great. He always responded right away. We had a great time and his house is close to everything; a block from the beach, Target around the corner, and the best pizza we have had since we’ve lived down south.
