hotel was very clean staff was fantastic no closet ( which was strange and awkward) slamming doors from other guest rooms was a real issue

This is our 3rd time here, and I won't go anywhere else. I also recommended the Avid to friends. The guy at the desk named Moe is so cool. He'll bend over backwards to make sure you're happy during your stay. Everyone there is very friendly. We'll be going back next week.

This hotel is clean and beautiful and the customer service was excellent. Our room was clean and beautifully designed very modern. Dove products are provided in the bathroom. Many towels are also provided. Free coffee is available in the lobby 24-7 since no coffee maker in room but there is a small refrigerator and safe. Free breakfast is grab and go in the lobby. There is underground parking for $30 a night with no in and out privileges however garage has very limited spaces and it will s very tight. Would not recommend a large SUV. Overall stay was great and I would definitely recommend

The Avid hotel in Brooklyn was a great stay. 5 nights and everything was always freshly cleaned, and the staff was always friendly. Will definitely stay again. 10/10

I placed a reservation through Hotels.com and received a confirmation. On my way there, the hotel called to tell me they no longer had a room available. I went somewhere else. I am writing this so that Hotels.com will get off my back about reviewing a hotel that cancelled on me. You had better not charge me. Have a nice day.

New hotel, good breakfast, very kind staff, but the room must be reordered more often for those who stay more than two.Tre days. Metro R a 600m connects Manattham very well. Coffee or tea available in the breakfast area. I will certainly go back.

Nice hotel with great amenities. Very clean. Beds were comfy. Water was a great temperature. Staff was very friendly and great service. Cons: advertised as free parking, but the garage is sooo small and barely any spaces. Hotel is on 86th st which is great for ahopping but horrible for noise. We were placed on a low floor and the noise was horrible in the mornings.

This hotel is new and was amazing. It was clean and inviting. The bathroom was large and well equipped. I woke too late to eat breakfast the first morning and left before breakfast the second morning, so I can't comment on that. It is not close to downtown Brooklyn or any of the sites, but we chose it because of its proximity to things we had to do in Brooklyn. I will definitely stay there again.

A lovely hotel indeed. Friendly staff. Clean and new. Good breakfast, not luxurious but with lots of healthy options. Parking is $30, but easy to park in the street. I would only cut the plastic and disposable utensils.

This hotel is really clean and brand new. There is a few places to eat a cross the street which is nice. There is a brand new Gym in the basement floor. Nothing really negative to say about it other than parking. I'll be staying here again.

Property was clean, if basic. Definitely a good budget hotel. I did not like that there is a fee for every time you remove your car from the parking, because when I made the reservation it made it sound like parking was included. Even if not included, if you pay for your stay, it should at most be a daily fee, rather than a by exit/entry fee. Paying $30 to return your car every time you take it out seemed kind of ridiculous. I just kept my car parked, but as the parking in that area is non-existent for those who plan to rely on cars this seemed excessive.

Wonderful stay. The Avid in Brooklyn was perfect for our girls trip. The rooms are very comfortable and simple with everything you could need. The staff is incredible- friendly, helpful and so accommodating. Malika, at the desk, was so sweet to us. She took great care of us!

It is a brand new hotel, was clean and comfortable, good location for getting into NYC via subway, my only complaint is that there are only 7 parking spaces available at the hotel and once they are gone you have to use street parking wherever you can find a space

I am sad to write this review. I was excited to see an affordable hotel option and a brand new property near where my son lives. The reviews online seemed good, though I did see several which indicated the reviews were fake and scams...I realize now that is very likely the case. I checked in to this property (after attempting to park in the tiny garage that has maybe 6 spaces and is a feat to maneuver any vehicle in without causing damage to your car) and there was a line of unhappy guests screaming at the front desk about being overcharged and taken advantage of. I should have left then. I did not. I checked in and went up to my room. My son joined me to see that I got in safely...we were both instantly nauseated upon opening the door. The room smelled so strongly of fish that it hit us like a ton of bricks. I looked at my son and said I cannot stay here. He said he was shocked that I even looked at the room after seeing the garage and the front desk. I went down and immediately checked out. The front desk operator slammed her hand on the desk in anger and started stomping around the desk and said let me see. An aggressive response is both unexpected and unacceptable. I understand that it had been a difficult night for her since so many people were angry with this disgusting hotel. I told her no reason to "see", I am leaving and getting a room at a different property. I then asked that she open the garage. Avid has refused to refund my money. Don’t let them take yours!
