Travel information provided by the owner & the polite behaviour of the land lady.
Smelly bathroom.
One of the towels was quite old.
Electric cattle was of plastic.
One of the cupboards used to get stuck with the door of another cupboard while opening & closing which was very annoying.
Also, had to leave footwear outside.

Amazing location close to the temple. Great place to stay (got more than what you would expect in home stay)
Amazing owner who was extremely helpful and made us felt like his extended family. He suggested additional places to visit for our travel to Kanyakumari and these were very nice too....
Nothing at all

The breakfast was middling. I have had better at cheaper places. They gave us puttu ( rice+coconut mixture) with a curried lentil accompaniment with bananas
The place was well appointed, but the staff turned from Mr Jekyll to a Mr Hyde. In my 50 years of travels I have never been abused so much by a proprietor as in this case. The attendant took my wife's passport late at night and forgot to return it. Next day my wife was searching frantically for her passport and they opined that I had taken her passport with me on a tour to the Napier Museum. She frantically tried to call me and I returned. We both searched all our belongings for her passport and could not find it. We asked the attendant again and again to see if he had it, but he assured us that he looked everywhere and did not have it and commiserated with us about the loss. He then asked me for my passport as he had made a poor copy the previous night, and as he opened the printer lid, there was her passport.
My wife went totally livid as she had a nervous breakdown searching three hours for her passport.
We could not stay there even though we booked for 4 nights. He demanded cash for all four nights before we took the room. He refused to refund any money and then turned on me and said he would call the police as I had put the passport myself slyly under the printer lid and he had video evidence to prove it. Of course he could not provide the video evidence and the attendant denied that it was he that forgot to return my wife's passport. The owner then had the temerity to tell my wife I was lying to her.
My wife was so stunned by the psychopathic change in behavior of the proprietor from charming to ruthless that she could not stay there another minute. We lost the money and we left. Karma will come back at some point and give him his due.
I would advise everyone to pay by credit card only and not cash. Stay at the property if you must but don't be fooled by the homey charm front that the couple puts up.. A nightmare of the worst kind as far as treatment by a proprietor goes. We went to Soma Palmshores. It was going to heaven from hell.

“AMAZING” is the word I will use. They say Kerala is gods own country. I would say “NALINAM” is your own “FAMILY”. What a positive homely feeling I got when I first stepped into this beautifully constructed VILLA by Jayan sir and ma’am. Fantastic vibes I felt. Sir and ma’am treated me like their own son. Such a nice couple they are and such down to earth, loving and caring were they with me.
What a delightful traditional breakfast was offered with so much of love and warmth. It was such a nice feeling. Sir had specially got me “Kaaravada” out of his own interest and love. I felt like my father doing it for me.
What is so nice to see is sir and ma’am have a beautiful smiling face and beautiful heart.
I was so lucky to get darshan at renowned “Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple” not once but twice. Next time, I have promised them I will visit their home with my parents.
Regards,
Hariharan( Mahasrashtra, Pune)

First of all the most important thing is location and pricing. It is located near Shri Padmanabha Swami Temple and around 4 km to the airport. Also as it is a homestay, it has a feeling of home.

Uncle and Aunty were very friendly and gave us information about the city and people. Overall, you will find a homely atmosphere.
Sometimes you will feel a bit lonely at night cause the location is a bit far from the main central shopping points or medical hospitals.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a Homestay that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped through the front door, I was greeted with a level of cleanliness that would put even the finest hotels to shame. The attention to detail was remarkable, and it was evident that the hosts take immense pride in maintaining a spotless environment. Every corner of the homestay was immaculate, from the pristine bedrooms to the sparkling bathrooms. The fresh linens and towels provided further added to the overall cleanliness and comfort of the place. I cannot emphasize enough how impressed I was with the high standards of cleanliness maintained throughout my stay.
Aside from the remarkable cleanliness, the hospitality provided by the hosts was second to none. From the warm welcome upon arrival to the farewell at the end of my stay, the hosts went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. They were incredibly friendly, approachable, and always available to address any queries or concerns I had. Their knowledge of the local area was invaluable, as they provided me with excellent recommendations for nearby attractions and dining options. It felt like I was staying with old friends rather than in a traditional homestay. The genuine care and hospitality displayed by the hosts truly made my stay a memorable one.
In terms of location, the homestay couldn't have been better situated. It was conveniently located in a peaceful residential neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, yet still within easy reach of all the major attractions. The surrounding area was tranquil and picturesque, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Public transportation and essential amenities were also within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient to navigate and access everything I needed.
Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this Homestay to anyone seeking a truly exceptional experience.
