despite the hiccup on noise and various small inconvenience - stay was ok

breakfast is good - local breakfast. room is nice. staff friendly and helpful

every night there the restaurant beside the hotel drags the table and chairs till past 11pm, their cupboard was used to store winter blankets - so we have to hang our clothes on a temporary cloth stand.

Excellent hotel with helpful staff and great location

Location staff was excellent. I had a feeling that I not just booked hotel room, but got ready for use vacation package : Carol helped to organize transfer from railway station, tickets to the park and evening show, even prepared program for park visit - that was very helpful, since park is huge and without advices you can easily spend hours to understand where to got and how to get there.

It's not related to hotel, but during winter it can be really cold in ZJJ. be prepared for this

Очень красивый интерьер в отеле и номере. Есть сотрудники, которые хорошо говорят по-английски. В 20 мин пешком от отеля - вход в Forest Park. Сотрудники заранее предложат на booking оформить входные билеты. В номере есть сушка для одежды (платно), резиновые тапочки, чайник, чай, вода.

Hotel terletak di distrik wulingyuan dekat dengan pintu masuk ke tempat wisata gunung tianmen.Kamarnya bersih, wangi, stafnya sangat membantu, lokasinya dekat dengan pusat bisnis di wulingyuan, kanan kiri dan depan hotel ada restauran, ada minimarket, anda tidak akan kesulitan untuk makan dan kebutuhan lainnya, taksi sangat mudah, ongkos taxi dari stasiun zhangjiajiexi ke hotel RMB.100.

Resepsionis buka hanya sampai jam 12 malam, dari jam 12 malam sampai jam 7 pagi pintu keluar utama di tutup, bila anda harus check out pagi pagi, sebaiknya beritahu resepsionis sehari sebelumnya.

Extended stay for 2 more nights @ SecGarden Boutique Hotel / 索西山居

Ms Carol contacted us via Booking.com messaging app soon after our booking was completed. True to the reviews read, Carol had been nothing but friendly, helpful & prompt. Upon our arrival on 8/10/23, we met up with Carol and another 2 gems - 小陈/陈姐 & 刘峰弟弟. These 3 angels of the property advised & helped us to purchase the following tickets(*), plus briefed us DAILY on transport arrangements & strategies to cover the parks efficiently. 小陈 served us Chinese tea every night while she briefed us patiently. *张家界国家森林公园 *大峡谷&玻璃桥 *天门山 *魅力湘西表演 The location of the property (武陵园风景区天子路）is right in the smack of eateries (7am to 2am) & 10am-10pm shopping (walk towards the direction of 军地小学 & it's all within 150m).

The shortfall are : - strictly no late checkout - awkward & cramped showering enclosure in the bathroom - do not take the online description of "Twin Room with Mountain View" (we chose this room type) seriously. 小陈 concluded that a side glance/view of the mountain justified the room type booked although we were not at all convinced - our assigned room faced nothing of a promised mountain view but a 2-3 storey restaurant & shophouses directly ! LOL ... Anyway, nothing beats the human touch we received with sincerest thanks & fond memories of our stay at the property would linger on & on ...

Très satisfaite de mes séjours, l'hôtel propre et le lit confortable, les travailleurs sont très sympas. Je recommande cet hôtel, je vais surement revenir avec les amis. Nous avons mangé dans le restaurant juste à côté, c'est le même patron. L'addition avec des remises et une boisson offerte

ホテルstaffがいろいろと観光地の案内とチケットの購入などに対して尽力してくれました。

まず、支払い決済に関して、クレジット決済の時、さらに3%の手数料を徴収しようとした。結果として最終的には拒否し修正させましたが、現金やweChat決裁以外の時に、更に手数料を徴収するようなことが感じられた。

The best hotel for National Forest Park and Amazing Service

The Location is perfect and not far form the Park Entrance (Wulingyuan -east gate of the National Forest Park. Carol is very kind and even buy our all entrance tickets that we need in advance. It is super helpful during high season in Zhangjiajie. The Service is the best as well. Highly recommend.

Very nice staff, excellent location, absolutely fair price. The staff helped us very kindly to carry out the reservations for the National Park, taxis, etc. The Forrest Park is amazing, I really recommend to spend some days visiting this area of China.

I’ll repeat it

The hotel is so cute and there are a lot of restaurants in the area. Breakfast was so good and they recommend us a local restaurant that we loved. Room is huge and has everything what you would need.

Best hotel in Wulingyuan to view most beautiful place on earth!

Location location!!! Best friendly and extremely helpful staff!!! They made contact with us in advance to assist in buying forest park and other attraction points tickets in advance to make sure we don’t miss out! Carol was amazing and so friendly!! The daily tea ceremony was one of the highlights at the hotel! We could relax and taste different teas and talk about the most beautiful place on earth! The room was beautiful and clean! Cleaned every day! Very comfortable bed and hot shower! Extra amenities you might need all available! Best stay! We would love to come stay again! Highly recommended!!

We loved staying at SeaGarden! Close to everything in town for dinner and night market atmosphere! Close walk to the forest park entrance. Best stay!

Super nice staff.. Got me all my passes booked for the parks.. the location too is perfect. Just a 20 min walk to the entrance of the Zhangjiajie park. You step out and you got restaurants, street food & convenient stores. A perfect location.

The best place for National Forest Park. Highly recommended

Awesome boutique hotel. Stay here for the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.The location is fantastic, within walking distance to the park entrance and any easy walk to many restaurants near hotel. The staffs were proactively helpful and went above and beyond. Helping arrange trips, even telling us right shuttle bus to the Baofeng Lake and Yellow dragon cave in Wulingyuan (very easy to get bus from bus stop near hotel, no need to take expensive taxi ). The room was beautiful, comfortable and clean. Just book here if you visit Zhangjiajie.

Great location with very friendly staff!

Great walking distance for the National Forest Park. The rooms was large and clean, the staff, especially Matt was great, very helpful with arranging drivers from airport, suggesting activities and gave us an English Map for the National Park entrance.Very knowledgeable about the mountain sights!! Thank you so much for all the help!!

Great Location and Super Excellent Service

Great location and it is walking distance to Park entrance. The room is large and clean. The service from hotel was excellent especially the staff whose name Carol. She gave us all the information about the tourist destination in Wulingyuan (Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Glass Bridge). I would rate her 100. I wish I could stay longer

What a pleasant stay!

This beautiful hotel is beautiful and location is perfect for National park and Glass bridge. you can take a walk to the Park from river near hotel. The room is large and clean. Manager Matt spoke excellent English and fantastic knowledge of the area, which is super helpful for our trip in Zhangjiajie. The team helped us get tickets (Glass Bridge , The Park) that we need to make our trip easier. There have a big supermarket to get supplements very easy. We have a great time in here. Highly recommended and Book it now!

Location is perfect, Amazing Staff and Beautiful Place to visit Zhangjiajie

The hotel has a perfect location with lots of stores and restaurants nearby. It is very close to Wulingyuan entrance to the park.The room is clean,large bedroom,wooden decor. All Staff are very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Matt and the team for their great hospitality, help and friendliness. Matt speaks fluently English which is extremely helpful when traveling in China. During our stay,he helped us buy tickets and was alway ready for help. BTW the price is so reasonable and we would stay here every time we came to Zhangjiajie.

Perfect location, Amazing place to stay

Had an absolutely brilliant stay at SecGarden Boutique Hotel.The hotel is so close the the Wulingyuan gate of the park (just 10 minutes walking) and the surrounding area is local restaurant, night market and public transportation. The Wulingyuan is very nice small town where is very easy to get everything ur needs for the trip of Zhangjiajie . At first, the size of Zhangjiajie makes it seem a bit difficult , Matt and Carol were so kind and so helpful in making an itinerary and giving advice so how to get around and where to go. They can help u book the ticket for park, cable car and glass bridge in a very short time. The restaurant was clean, pretty and comfortable. There are many restaurants near hotel, means so many choice you can have and food is amazing !!! If you want to explore Zhangjiajie, I highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing stay in Zhangjiajie

This boutique hotel we booked which is very conveniently located 10 minutes walk away from the wulingyuan main entrance to the National park. Large room, nice ancient design and the rooms were very comfortable.High value for the room. Amazing hospitality and Matt speaks English fluently, he will help you with your every needs and gave me perfect plan to explore ZHANGJIAJIE (arranging transport to and from the airport, tickets for the Park and Tianmen Mountain). Delicious meals from local restaurant next the hotel and you can have a relaxing walk along the pretty river near hotel. Highly recommended! We will definitely come back.
