We had a wonderful girls weekend! This house was perfect for staying in, cooking great food, and catching up. The house was extremely clean, beds were cozy and the water pressure in the showers was 10/10!! Thank you!

Very clean and beautifully decorated site. Kitchen was well stocked although it would have been nice to have a cutting board and a liquid measuring cup. Kudos for the large ice maker. Beds were comfortable. Dock, porch and patio areas were lovely. The welcome bag was a pleasant surprise! We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property to anyone!

The house was lovely and cozy. The open downstairs was a great space as was the patio for a fire and the boat house to relax and enjoy the water. The large porch I bet is great in warmer weather. The house was well stocked and cared for. Would absolutely stay again.

We came to meet family that lives in Virginia. We have never visited Lake Gaston. I live in Florida. The house was so comfortable and had wonderful, comfortable beds, a great kitchen and of course, the outside deck with large table was perfect for family dinner. My grandson caught his first fish off the dock we had an amazing weekend. We will be back and we so appreciate Valerie the property manager she is on point.

This house is amazing. It was extremely clean and perfect for everything we needed. There were 7 of us on this trip and everyone had the same great opinion. The dock is perfect and has plenty of outlets for charging boat batteries. For anyone coming to fish this is a very central location on the lake and you can run to the damn in 10 minutes on the water. I will definitely book this location again if we go back to Lake Gaston. The owners are very easy to work with and provide all the information anyone could need. I would give this location, house and dock at 10 out of 10.

We were looking for something unique and special for our anniversary and this place definitely exceeded our expectations. Our host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, the place is just as represented in the pictures and listing and we really enjoyed our stay. Everything is fresh and comfy. They have thought of everything, it’s well stocked and had plenty of all the things you’ll likely forget to bring! K cups, laundry detergent, extra everything! We were even greeted with a delightful surprise welcome gift full of snacks and drinks The while the house has many entertaining areas the highlight is definitely the water and boathouse. We spent hours and hours out there. Well deserved 5 stars

Not the best for seniors or older visitors. No handrail for all of down stairs inside from main floor to basement, or stairs from basement to lake. No TV or comfortable furniture in main living area. The floor in the downstairs walk in shower is very slippery and none of the bathrooms have grab bars or safety holds. None of this was expected or noted in the ad for the rental. Very concerning. Not a good value for our money and disappointing.

Our stay at Sunset Lake Cove House was perfect. Detailed directions and instructions for boat access were provided in advance and made check-in seamless. We were welcomed with a personalized sign and gift bag which made us feel right at home. The home is extremely clean, comfortable, and well-decorated. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed (the ice maker was a plus!). The outdoor space was awesome and well set up…from the nice Adirondack chairs and fire pit to the amazing boat dock and bar area. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend stay. Sunset Cove Lake House is now at the top of our list for a return trip to Lake Gaston! Thank you to Valerie, who was an absolutely amazing and very responsive host.

We had an incredible holiday weekend here! The home is PERFECT. Great location, clean, and includes all the amenities. We brought our boat and spent most days wakeboarding and evenings sitting on the dock fishing. The kids loved the basement/game room. Overall just a fantastic place. The owners were super communicative and helpful. We definitely would love to come back. Thank you Valerie!!!

The house was clean, spacious, and well stocked. The location is perfect with the grocery store, ice cream, and restaurants just minutes away. The floating pad off the dock was perfect for our young kids to spend hours playing in the water. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals. The screened in porch was great for bug free dinners. We absolutely loved our stay here and hope to visit again.

We were very pleased with Sunset Cove Lake House. It had everything we needed. Our group ranged from younger kids, early teens, older teens, and adults, and everyone loved it. The house is in a great location, literally minutes away from the famous food lion that everyone always ends up at for groceries while staying on the lake. You can see main lake from the dock, but you don't have to deal with the constant wake from boats passing by while relaxing on a float or simply floating with a life vest on. The game room was awesome; we played a lot of ping pong and pac man. We spent most of our time at the dock, which was large and perfect for everything from fishing to sunbathing to eating and sipping. But we also spent time at the outdoor patio (we used the fire pit and made smores!), and dinners in the large screened in porch. We had a wonderful time and Valerie was a great host. Everything was well thought out, including the extras like a trash bin and mini fridge at the dock. We would love to come back!

This break from the normal day to day stressors and responsibilities was exactly what our family needed. Valerie was wonderful with communication as we planned and once we checked in to make sure that we had all that we needed. The views are gorgeous and the accommodations were better than we could have hoped for. EVERYONE is excited about the opportunity to visit again. This is a beautiful property in a great location with deep water, conveniently located within a 5 minute boat ride to fuel, food and boat service if needed. We cannot say enough about the ease of the location and the private boat ramp within the community made this trip very easy to drop our boat and jet ski. The home itself has been updated as of late and shows well, we had multiple teenagers with us and they consumed the basement level which was perfect and allowed the adults to stay upstairs and create some separation. The hosts were readily available and easy to get a hold of. The house was clean and they had just built a new boat house that is amazing and allowed us the opportunity to fish for hours on end. We would absolutely rent this home again.

We decided to spend a long weekend at the lake and were surprised we found this gem available on semi-short notice. It had everything we were looking for including outdoor and indoor activities along with a feel of home. The location is exceptional because it is in a cove where we could swim, relax on the dock, kayak (owner supplied) and paddle board (we brought inflatable ones with us); yet it had quick and easy access to the main lake. We rented a tritoon boat from the marina just two coves down and had no trouble getting it in and out of the owners’ boathouse. Very easy to drive to as well and minutes to amenities such as the grocery store and restaurants. The house is a perfect size-not too small not too large-and very comfortable from furniture to decor. After a fun day on the water, we enjoyed grilling out and eating on the screened porch. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and my husband appreciated the Keurig and coffee pods. Every night we played ping pong and various games on the arcade machine in the basement and enjoyed being able to lounge together to end the evenings with a little tv watching. Corn hole is provided as well. My 2 college girls especially enjoyed reading on the hammock. Check-in and check-out were super easy and Valerie was very communicative and responsive to all questions I had before and during our stay. We have absolutely no complaints and plan to return. All four of us truly loved our mini vacation at Sunset Cove!

This was easily one of the nicest rental homes we’ve ever stayed in. It’s in an amazing location and the home and views are beautiful. There was so much space for the whole family and tons of games and activities for the evenings. Being able to dock our boat in the boat house was so convenient and we had the best vacation on LKG. The house was set up and decorated beautifully, the hosts truly thought of everything. We would love to come back as soon as possible!

We had a simply wonderful time visiting Lake Gaston. The Sunset Cove house is in a great location, near restaurants and a grocery store. It’s spacious and comfortably decorated, with so many cute touches. The host was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed before and during our stay. We’re so appreciative of the hospitality, and the family memories we made at the lake. Thank you!!!
