Address is 11 2nd Street NE Washington DC 20002. It's the closest residential building to the US Capitol. Great JR 1 bedroom (sleeping area is semi private with a partial wall separating sleeping area from living area). One block to US Capitol, National Mall. Highly sought after Capitol hill neighborhood. Top restaurants, very good Metro access. Excellent security - US Supreme Court / Capitol Police kiosk is literally overlooking this building. We pride ourselves on creating an inviting and inclusive place for all including LGBTQ+ and allies. Now with I Gig WIFI (the fastest residential speed available in DC) Open airy Jr 1 bedroom on quiet back side of building. Queen bed in sleeping area and queen sleeper sofa in living area. Sleeping area is not a fully separate bedroom - it is semi private with bed behind partial wall. Stunning location. Compact well-furnished property. Apt has high ceilings, wood floors, in a great historic building. Fully furnished. Combo washer/ dryer in apartment. Full laundry in building. YouTube TV with 85 channels (including local channels and HBO) included. Smart TV with built in Netflix, Amazon, and other apps provided for use with your accounts. This is a Capitol Hill Stay property. We are a veteran-owned small business with about 20 properties on Capitol Hill. We have been providing furnished lodging on Capitol Hill since 1997. We have been a primarily longer term housing provider for 25 years but pricing is very hard to communicate and set, as it's impossible to know the dates and circumstances of every possible guest's needs in advance when we set pricing. Pricing may vary significantly depending on length of stay, specific dates, etc. For longer term stays there may be discounts possible. Guests have complete access and privacy. NOT a shared space Available when needed. Capitol Hill is an outstanding neighborhood. It's historic, charming, and ideally located at the absolute geographic center of DC. Terrific safety, with the US Capitol police patrolling the area. Home to many politicians, media figures, etc. Corner groceries, pharmacy, great diner and dry cleaners a two minute walk away. Eastern Market (farmers market and baker/butcher etc) is a few blocks away. Amazing restaurants and lively bars within blocks! Whole Foods and several other supermarkets in the neighborhood. Four blocks to metro orange/blue and red lines. Union Station train station is four blocks. Union Station is home to the major sightseeing tours. Capital Bikeshare kiosk is a couple minutes walk. Uber and Lyft and cheap and very easy to get here. DC Circulator metro rapid bus transit also very close by. Perfect spot to explore DC from. Excellent neighborhood for longer term stay as well. Apartment has electronic locks so late check in is no problem. This building is on the third floor (two floors up from lobby level). There is an elevator, but to get to the lobby area you will need to walk up about ten steps. Like many buildings of this era in DC the building heat/air conditioning system that either heats or cools, depending on time of year. It does not do both simultaneously. If you have any questions just let us know. A few words about rates: Since every booking is different the rates listed are an approximation. Rates are based on length of stay, specific dates needed, amenities requested, etc. Bookings less than 91 days are subject to the DC lodging tax of 15.95%. If your stay is 91 days or longer you avoid that tax for the entire stay. SINCE EVERY INQUIRY IS DIFFERENT AND THE BIGGEST FACTOR IN PRICE ARE THE SPECIFIC DATES CHOSEN AND LENGTH OF STAY RATES MAY BE HIGHER OR LOWER THAN WHAT IS POSTED. PLEASE INQUIRE SO WE CAN DISCUSS PRIOR TO SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST. Late spring and summer are the 'high season' very high demand months, moreso this year than ever before as this is the first year that many federal agencies and private employers are bring people back to DC, and they are making up for lost productivity during Covid. Most furnished housing providers in DC will only take bookings for three months or longer during these months. We will do shorter stays, but the furnished housing business is usually priced by length of stay (and specific dates chosen). Shorter term stays are at a higher rate. And generally we try to match an incoming booking with an apartment that is available beginning within a week or so of the requested date. For instance if you are seeking a one or two month rental beginning July 1 we would want to match your request with a property available beginning in very late June or July 1 (not leaving more than a couple of days vacant between bookings).
