Located in Jamestown Township, this lovely cottage for R 6,866 per night is a great option for your next trip. An ideal location on a pristine NE Indiana lake, this historic lakefront cottage boasts modern amenities and one of the best sandy bottoms on Lake George. Local folklore has it that John Dillinger stayed here (at this very spot!) while he worked on the cottage and was fed lunch daily by a sweet neighbor lady just a couple doors over... Relax and fall in love with the charm and heritage of this little gem! On the southern point of one of the most desirable lakes in the area, you'll find everything you need to relax and unwind on your lake getaway. Central air, wireless internet, on-site laundry, and dock space for your boat are all right here. Inside space for an afternoon siesta and outdoor space for the morning coffee and evening dinner blend seemlessly together. The large lakeside patio and windows join the water with the cottage to make it feel like you're staying right on top of the lake! Arrangements for sleeping include a queen bed in the downstairs bedroom. Climbing up the spiral staircase, you'll find lots of space for the kiddos. Three twin beds will sleep them comfortably in the loft for the night. A TV and Xbox with a couple of bean bag chairs gives them some indoor space of their own if there's rain in the forecast or mom and dad just need a break. Additionally, there is a sleeper sofa that can sleep two more in the living room. There is ample space in the bathroom with a full tub and shower. The kitchen is stocked and ready for you to prepare whatever your inspiration stirs up for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is a kamado grill (Akorn) for grilling up burgers or smoking some ribs all day long and a large patio table for serving all of it up! After dinner and an evening swim, use the firepit right on the seawall for roasting your marshmallows and settle down for the night. The lake will provide plenty of fun for the day - fish right off the dock, swim, boat, ski and tube! But if you find that you're ready for a day off from the water, there's lots nearby to occupy your time. The area has several great antique stores, some very unique eateries and fun for the whole family - mini golf, hiking and horseback riding. You won't be at a loss for what to do! When you visit, you’ll be able to imagine what it might have been like in days gone by. You will soon fall in love with this sweet spot on the lake, and you can appreciate what would have brought John Dillinger and the boys to the shores of Lake George. The comforts and pleasure of the present will mingle with the echoes of the past!

I couldn't speak more highly of this cottage and everything it offered my family all week. The property was just as described and we were able to rent a pontoon and jet ski and have it right at our cottage all week. This is a must stay and I will 100% be renting again next summer!

We are enjoyed a relaxing ladies getaway on Lake George! The sunsets were beautiful and the cottage was well stocked with everything needed for the weekend. The kayaks were fun to explore the lake a bit.

We made many lasting memories with our children at the lake this week. The lakehouse was perfect for our family meeting every need. The owners are great and have wonderful communication. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and had a blast playing in the lake. We will be back to rent again!

We had a great time staying at the lake house. It was very clean and had plenty amenities. Owner was excellent to work with and very generous. We definitely plan on renting again in the near future.

This house was right on the water, dock was nice to hang out on. Bed was nice and soft, perfect and would go back in a heartbeat!
