From the patio and pool deck and walk 100 feet to a spectacular pink-sand beach, long and wide and protected from surf by a barrier reef. A five-minute walk down the beach takes you to Pascal’s excellent beachfront restaurant and bar. Pascal’s has a swim-up bar and offers poolside service. Sammy, the island’s most renowned bartender, is famous for his tropical drinks and friendly service. Amenities at Pineapple House include WIFI, air conditioning throughout, a gas grill, beach chairs, a water filtration system, and a back-up generator. A five-minute drive from Pineapple House takes you to Governors Harbour, the main town on the island. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. It has a nice little collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. You can buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock. You can have a charter captain take you out for fishing, snorkeling, or diving excursions. There are several popular spots for cliff jumping, including some tame enough for children. There is excellent sightseeing as well.
