The spacious mid century Panabode beach house is always being updated for the discerning guest. It offers 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms plus a powder, 3 separate living areas (all with Sound and mountain views) plus a bonus room designed for retreating on your own or in a small group. The beach house sits on a shy acre that really invites you to engage with nature: bird watching, cold plunging, hot tubbing, lounging under the trees or on beach logs, beach combing, paddle boarding, playing lawn games, flying kites or walking the beach alongside seals or maybe luck out with a grey whale or orca sighting. We hope you can unwind fully, but if you must work, we offer a quiet workspace in a downstairs bedroom. We provide lawn games, 2 paddle boards, standard life jackets, kites, yoga mats and other extras. While you could easily spend a week never getting into your car, with so much to do on the property and an easy walk to Greenbank Farm or the Greenbank Store, we do suggest you make time to explore the island. Upon booking you receive a detailed house book that includes travel tips for getting here, sample itineraries for at least 5 different Whidbey Island excursions, a list of our favorite local foodie spots and hikes AND a framework for your own DIY retreat! We are always curating contacts of local yoga, massage, tarot, kayak and other nature guides and service providers. We've been coming to this island for our entire lives and are always happy to share ideas that help you experience its stunning nature and charming towns. Our property rental is intentionally managed by us (not a prop management firm) with help from a small team of local independent contractors as a way for us non-locals to add to the local flow of capital circulating on Whidbey. We keep a full day between stays to allow our cleaner time to thoroughly clean and the house to fully air out between guests.
