Room very small, no TV, no a/c

Beautiful location! Enjoyed conversation with other guests in the living room!
The only negative was that there was no air conditioning. Normally, it's not needed, but it was unusually warm😀

The staff was super friendly! We enjoyed the conversations with other guests in the evening in the "living room". Beautiful location!
No air conditioning, which is normally not necessary. We were there when it was unusually warm.

The lodge and surroundings are beautiful! The staff were friendly and accommodating!
There was no air conditioning. I'm sure there usually is no need for it, but we were there during a very warm time. 😉

Very nice Lodge, ecellent location, perhaps a bit lonely. Breakfast and dinner were very good. We could bring our own vine for dinner.
The lodge is - with all the taxes (around 20 %) a bit expensive. Most of the attractions (mainly in the Region of St.Antony and further north-west) are one driving hour away.

The staff were A + incredible,
food was delicious
location is gorgeous
common room is beautiful
be careful staying here during hunting season if
you’re not a hunter, they get up at 5 am and there’s lots
of noise as they get their breakfast and prep to leave.
rooms are very small, beds comfortable but pushed up
against the wall so a bit tricky for couples.

the weather was cold, windy and rainy; but that didn't matter. The food was good, and the people we met were a delight. The atmosphere, furnishings, food, were warm and comfortable. This would be on my list for my next visit.
The bed linens could be cotton, the pillows could include down/feather as well as fibre filled.

Lodge ambiance was perfect.
Linens in my bed looked clean but didn't smell fresh.
First day breakfest was disappointing.
Second day breakfest was satisfying.
Room and bathroom are extremely tiny and uncomfortable.
Lack of mini fridge in the room.

This is one of the best places that we have ever stayed at. We travel a lot world wide so we have a lot to compare this to. Everything was wonderful from the friendly, happy, helpful staff to the delicious breakfast (included) and delicious dinners (extra) to the cozy, comfortable beds and rooms. The home cooked meals were exceptional and they accommodated our preferences and needs. The lodge has a communal sitting room that overlooks the beautiful lake. The area was so quiet but handy for St. Anthony's and L'anse Aux Meadows. We would stay here again. We would very highly recommend this Lodge.
Nothing.

Loved visiting the little communities and meeting the local people. The trail ways were fabulous and Lance Aux Meadows was beautiful. The people we met in the local stores were great to talk with and told us stories about the areas which was a bonus to hear!! And the local restaurants were great, and so was the food. But going back to Tuckamore Lodge for the nights was another story, so very disappointed!!
The only downside was going back to this place Tuckamore Lodge for the nights. The smell in the lodge was of a place that had been barred up for months, the musty moldy dirty smell made it impossible to get much sleep. The bedding was stale and smelled very dusty and moldy…and the pillows we had to put in the closet as they were gross. (I hope they were placed in the garbage after we left) We used our clothes for pillows and to cover the sheets trying to hide the smell. We placed the fan in the door window to try and circulate fresh air in the room. And we cleaned the room to try and freshen it up when we got there and before we left, hoping she would catch on and do the much needed cleaning for other visitors!! We were asked if we wanted breakfast in the morning but as we are not breakfast people we said no thanks. We did ask for a coffee maker for the room but Barb said b/c of the pandemic she was not allowed to have them in the rooms; yet all 4 of the other motels we stayed at had them without asking!! We were offered supper but declined b/c it seemed over priced at $40 each for a piece of salmon and fixings and maybe dessert. We wanted to eat at the local restaurants and share the wealth b/c we paid almost $400.00 for 2 nights at the lodge already. Barb was fine with this and said great, as she had given the workers the next day off anyway. We were made to feel less-than b/c we only wanted to sleep there and not avail of the other offerings? She complained to us about having no one booked and she was losing money etc...stuff we did not need to hear. She needs to be more polite and stop with the negativity. The place is certainly not ready for visitors and NEEDs a deep clean. And yes, we looked at other rooms, but they all smelled the same. Felt sick after 2 nights there. So disappointed!! I do not recommend this place. After reading Barb's comment below-FYI we left the place spotless, we are business owners ourselves and good people!!
