Golf course wasn’t running, so we had a private Tucktaway resort on the edge of the water all to ourselves. We shared it with a family of geese a family of loons, and a few otters that came to visit. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful.

Stunning location with rooms overlooking a beautiful lake. Very calm.
As there is no dining facility on-site, we brought our own food to heat in the microwave oven but imposible to eat conveniently: there are no plates and cutlery. We also missed the water kettle and the coffee maker didn't work.

The location was superb. Very clean, which is important. Very nice view of the lake. Chairs provided at the lake and at the front door of our unit was most appreciated.
Problem with TV having limited French programs, but we were advised (thank you to our friendly contact!) they knew of the problem and they were working on it. Hopefully problem will be resolved.

Beautiful lake! The atmosphere inside the room was nice.
The sofa bed was not comfortable. The fridge was noisy at night.

Room was large and decorated in a rustic log cabin like way.
Window curtains were old and in need of cleaning.

Exactly what I was looking for for a quiet weekend away from the city.
Property has lakefront right outside the hotel room.
The hotel room is spacious and has all the things I needed to stay with a friend.
Not their fault, but the town 5 min away from this property has very limited choices in terms of food.
Everything closed before 8pm besides Tim Hortons.
As we were traveling to this remote area, it was really difficult to arrive before 8pm.
Had to be content with overpriced sandwiches that only tasted okay.

Location is good and convenient. The place is good , clean and it has only 3 rooms so no crowd. We were looking for Canoe and it was available for free. Subway and Pizza is nearby 5 mins drive

This was like 2 star motel, no breakfast, coffee naked but no cream or milk, way to expensive for that time of the year.
They are charging like hotels 5 stars .

There was no brekfast or any food on site. The decoor was nice. The sofa bed was well past it's prime, sagged in the middle. Worst was the shower. I asked foor an "accessible room". The shower had no safety bars and the bottom had no safety strips annd was very slippery. We couldn't use it as my sister nearly fell. The view was beautiful.

Clean, quiet, and beautiful view of lake right out of front window. Bethany was excellent and did a great job of making our stay enjoyable.
The only negative is that despite the fact it's called Barry's Bay Golf Resort, there is 'no' golf course, and there hasn't been a golf course here for a couple of years.
