Passable

Despite being about the rattiest exterior, the room was actually clean and well appointed

An excruciatingly difficult process to check in at merely 10:30 pm. Had to call some other location, give personal and credit card info by phone and opening a lock box.

UW graduation so slim availability. It did the job at great value.

It was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Check-in went smoothly.

Overhead light fixture was broken, but there was enough other lighting that it didn't really matter. The check-out procedure was faulty. We were supposed to put the key in a box inside the office where we checked-in, but we couldn't do that because the office was locked and there was no staff to be found when we checked out. The phone number on the email had no voicemail. We left a voicemail on their other phone number from check-in that we were leaving the key in the room, but never received a response.

It was ok for the price, I don't know why all hotels are so expensive in this city.

All things were there, it was the cheapest place to stay for a conference in Madison. There is a bus stop close by for getting to the city center.

Could not control central heating. Bed was too soft for my back. Did not meet any staff at reception, everything was done remotely.

Clean, close to downtown, great value for the money.

Breakfast was very simple. Could have added some simple protein, peanut butter or hard boiled eggs. Otherwise it was a nice simple variety. Oatmeal, toast, english muffins, cereal/milk, apples and bananas, prepackaged donuts, granola bars and pancakes, coffee and cocoa. Next time I would bring along some nuts or peanut butter as I like to start the day with protein. This is a small older hotel near the beltline. For the price we weren't expecting much, but hotels were booked up for Homecoming weekend and we needed a place to stay. We were surprised with the room. New floors, paint, bathroom tile and shower. Very clean, but simple with no art, etc. Everything we needed. Not a fancy place but clean and great value for the money.Check in was very simple. They were able to communicate via a monitor/speaker, gave me the code to open a little locked box with the room key, and bingo we were in our room. I believe the owner/manager was in their room down the hall. Also the parking lot laid out so you can park very close to your room door.

Bad

I got the keys for my room before check-in. Went to a wedding and got to the room at 1:30am. It smelled of smoke. I couldn’t stay there. I had to leave the hotel and drive two hours. They offered me a complimentary stay at a later date but I live far away and will never go there again. I need my money back.

Location was very convenient for me. I was 5 minutes from where I needed to be each day.

Guests have no control over room temperature. There is one heating/cooling unit for the entire hotel which management sets and controls. There was also a huge large party one night from 2:00 am to 4:00 am in the room next to mine which spilled out into the outside areas of the porch and parking area. No one answered when I called the phone number for the hotel to ask that someone quiet these people.

poor choice. our room was soooooo hot and they don’t have a way for you to turn it down it has the old fashion radiator heaters we had to open our window to get comfortable.

Clean & reasonable

No staff on location. Room excessively hot & no thermostat in the room to adjust. Noisy guests , TV was difficult to use with no instructions.

The hotel is located very near the southside bus service and is near the beltline.

Breakfast was a continental that was placed out before dawn and I chose self service.

The lighting in the room was uncomfortable for me while the lights were on. The television was poorly tuned and I did not have sufficient knowledge of the Roku system as it was installed to enjoy it at all.

Liked the room it is actually one of the best type rooms i've stayed in for the price. Extremely clean and fresh. Very well maintained. Friendly staff.

No breakfast available, parking is ok , the lot should be resurfaced and a privacy fence erected around the property. The exterior doesn't reflect the great quality of the rooms, old dated sign hard to see.

Cheap enough for a football game but nothing special

Stayed here during a football game and it was the cheapest option that is still reasonably close to campus. Obviously you need to get a ride in to town but its a decent price all things considered. I had stayed here in the past and it looks like they have renovated it some. The room itself was fine.

This is a very basic motel and there isn't really anything nearby. I think the building used to have a bar/lounge in it but I dont think its used any longer. I would not consider this anything better than a place to save some money when visiting Madison.
