A very good place to stay for 1 or 2 nights and explore the island or do the whale watching tours. Breakfast was awesome!

Brier Island is one of the most amazing places I have ever visited in the world. It is unique and so beautiful. The staff at the lodge and restaurant are lovely. Food is excellent.

Nice room, no shower curtain so that was a little weird. No air conditioning or tv in rooms. Not a deal breaker but would be nice. Amazing View of the ocean and the island.
The restaurant attached was super expensive for breakfast and kinda lacked flavor. The sausage patty was not good at all. Next time we will visit the restaurant down the street.

The restaurant is very good, lots of options, including gluten free. The location is amazing, close to everything on the island and staff is very welcoming and ready to answer all questions!
The rooms are 300+ a night with no TV or A/C, the plugs in our room were old and it was difficult to plug anything in, including the mini fridge. The room was very dated and our headboard fell down off the wall during the night (it’s somehow anchored into the wall and was loose)

we have been there several times in the last two years, the owners are the best, you really are their guests, they enjoy talking with you and learning about you as you do them. great people, we will return again next year for several trips and whale watching.
that the trip was too short

The view was amazing. Just down the road from the whale watching place. Friendly staff.
No tv, weak wifi, no AC, thin walls, and low water pressure. The restaurant was way too expensive and food was OK at best. $15 for 2 eggs, sausage 1 piece of toast. As an example.

Stayed a night here after a whale watching trip from the island. Booked 2 rooms, both overlooking the sea and Long Island. Very comfortable, with a good restaurant on site

Location had a great view
Had no activities at the lodge, got bored. Room had only one lamp so reading was difficult for other side of the bed.

close to morning tour
no TV, poor Wi-Fi, overpriced but it’s an island so everything’s expensive

Although it is fairly basic accommodation it's clean and comfortable. Perfect for birding and whale watching
Walls are very thin. Given the fact many guests are awake early a few signs suggesting people should be quiet after 10pm would be good.

Great location in sun, fog and rain - enjoyed all of them. Amazing food at Donnie Macho's!! We wish we could have stayed longer to sample more of the menu. The staff were warm and efficient.
Beds a bit soft.

Breakfast was good. Asked for whole-wheat bread abd got white. No sausage in omelete

great location…nice people .
under construction. kind of a mess.

Didn't eat breakfast. Location is perfect.
Water temp fluctuates in shower. Decor in the room a bit dated. Just needs a touch of colour. Paint the headboard/bedside cabinets in cheerful colors, replace the wall art and curtains with something colourful. Go for a seaside feel instead of 'boring motel'. Could be fabulous!

Love the location, beautiful view. Handy to everywhere you want to go on the island. So much fun, whale watching and exploring the island
We were in the old part of the motel, not alot of room in there. However, we were only there to sleep🤷♀️

Location was great, views were beautiful and check-in was great. The staff that I spoke with were very friendly and super helpful! Mini fridge and microwave in the room were great to have! Everything you need for a great trip can be found here!
The hotel is going through renovations which will likely address any of the negatives. The rooms we booked were older and needing repairs. There weren't tvs in the rooms which was fine for us as we weren't there long and the weather was great but it could be something they consider adding for those wet days or quiet time for the kids.

view cleanliness
the door was difficult to open , close and to keep close the dead bolt was faulty and the chain was broken. I was not too worried about it but felt that this could make some travellers very anxious.

The location and views are amazing. The staff of the lodge were very friendly and helpful. The food was great, but service was slow. The waiting staff invoiced a meal we did not order, but corrected it promptly when questioned.
Meals were not included in the price. The room was good but we could hear noises from other guests in the hallway.

The island is wonderful and the lodge a nice place to stay. Beautiful breeze through the windows and currently being renovated
The restaurant was quite expensive and was not classic coastal foods. The menu isn't posted anywhere and the rest of the island closes so if you have food sensitivities it's probably best to bring something as the rooms have microwaves.

The view from the room was nice. Rooms are basic but the beds were comfortable. Decent restaurant but not kid friendly choices.
There's no TV in the room. No AC unit just a cube fan.

We had a very friendly welcome and were given lots of helpful information about the area. The lobby was full of local art, books and whale/fishing paraphernalia. Our children were fascinated. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and found the food exceptional. Local seafood and craft beers. Everyone was chatty and sweet and helpful.
