The breakfast was very nice and the location.

Upon booking this hotel was selected for being pet friendly no where did I mention nearly $100 in additional fees. I could have booked with tru by meridian that is pet friendly for half the price and much higher quality. I did expect more for this being a Hilton hotel, our main entry door had about a 2 inch gap with the hallway, which didn’t seem safe or sanitary. I could also hear every little thing off our neighbors next-door. If this room was $100-$150 a night maybe I could justify it but for over $300 this was not worth it at all.

Location is great. Front desk person was very nice and friendly.

Odd smell when entering lobby- may have been cleaning products but it was not pleasant. Tile floors in room were sticky and didn't seem clean. A roach crawled out of toilet paper when a new roll was opened. Breakfast was lacking in choices and quality. Had better at several competitors locations. Stayed here a couple of years ago and experience was better then. Seems like the facilities got "tired" quickly.

I'll never stay again.

The breakfast Staff were Great!

Management and front desk. It was extremely Unprofessional. I had asked for my room to be extended several days prior. They did not. I was told they forgot. I was able to find it online and they canceled it when I filed a complaint. It cost me food that I had in the room that I could not fit in another hotel. It cost me time and effort ton my Trip. The sad part is management was involved that made the decision. I also had a necklace stolen out of my room during cleanup.

Wonderful location and extremely kind staff; new furniture and updated bathrooms would make this place perfect.

Great location! Only 6 minutes from the beach and very close to restaurants and stores. Lobby is lovely and continental breakfast area was comfortable.

There was considerable wear and tear in our room. Everything looked clean and the staff had clearly done their best, but you can’t fix a peeling shower faucet. You just need to replace it.

Terrible stay

This was the worst hotel we found on Booking.com. He turned our birthday trip into a nightmare. We had a long day spent sightseeing and traveling for several hours. The reservation was confirmed. Our stay at the hotel was to start on Saturday at 3 pm. We finally arrived at the hotel around 4pm. On the spot, it turned out that we can't check in because the hotel is overbooking and our room was sold to someone else. They offered us another hotel another 30 minutes drive away on the opposite side of Charlston. We specifically chose this location to be close to the ocean and Mount Pleasant, as we had evening plans. We didn't have the strength, time or desire to drive through Charlston. We had no information the day before the trip or even in the morning before we started the trip, the reservation was still confirmed. There was no manager on site, only the lady from the reception, who did not show any willingness to help, treating us very coldly as if we were intruders. She just gave us a card that we can go to the hotel indicated by them, or leave the hotel and look for something else, this is no longer the hotel's problem but ours. We have to manage somehow because our previously booked place was sold to someone else. The lady at the reception did not feel any responsibility for the situation nor did she see it as a problem that there was no room for us here. She said that the manager had called us 2 hours ago, that is at 2 pm, to inform us that there was no place for us despite the previously confirmed reservation. She called practically at the beginning of our hotel day. At that time, we were already after a few hours of travel and during sightseeing and we could not answer the phone from an unknown number, especially since we did not expect any problems. Finally, leaving in the morning, we had a valid and confirmed reservation for our room. Booking was also not helpful.

We were left without a room with birthday plans ruined, tired, disappointed with no way to contact the manager who doesn't work on the weekend. Luckily for us, another family with children was also treated in a similar way by this hotel. Their booking was also changed at the last minute due to hotel overbooking. Only by making a fuss together did it work. The front desk lady finally called the manager. The manager suddenly found a room for this family, and also our apartament suddenly turned out to be available and we were able to stay the night instead of wandering hours after traffic jams in Charlston. It ruined the whole trip for us, caused a lot of stress and nerves. We booked Apartament Suite with a kitchen and 2 queen beds. The apartment was also unfortunately not very clean. The couch in the suite room was terribly dirty, old and smelly as was the carpet which was full of old stains. There was a terrible smell in the suite room. The Range Oven was dirty and unwashed. The trash cans had bags half the size of the bin so everything collapsed right away. The tub around the faucet had terrible bends of rust. We love the Hilton chain, but this hotel does not deserve to be part of it. We will never come back here again and we will not recommend this place to anyone.
