Location was nice and quiet.

Really needs updated. Thought we were going to fall through the floor in the bathroom.

We got a buy one get one certificate and it was very good. Checked in at another property. Staff was excellent! Over the top helpful. Toilet was very short. Room was clean. It needs a makeover. They were in process of fixing the parking area. Beach was just 10 - 15 feet from Motel. Great location!

Toilet was really short. Difficult for someone with bad legs. Very clean. If I were the owners, I would put in new mattresses, quilts. and toilets. Property could use a full make over. It looks like its under new ownership. Summer is extremely busy. Full house most of the time and they are doing an exceptional job cleaning!

When we arrived we was upgraded to Sunrise Beach with a view of the lake from the patio. The one lady at the front desk was very polite to us the other was kinda rude.

The room smelled musty, half of the lights didn't work. Whoever cleaned didn't clean under the bed or around the chairs. Wifi didn't work in our room at all.

The view of the lake which you could see only by being outside and the sweet woman behind the counter at the sunrise motel was helpful

Broken blind slat, floor in bathroom peeling up leaving a space between the floor and the wall all the way around it, air conditioner had packing tape around it to keep it in place, the bedside lamp unusable because nowhere to plug it in, one hanger in closet, no mattress pad on bed and the sheet had holes on the side, the sign advertises pool, beach, spa and there is only the beach at this property. The internet didn’t work, and there is no manager on site. There was an ice bucket but no ice machine on site, we walked to the sunrise motel for ice. We paid $334 for a room that should have cost $50! Unconscionable!

There was no breakfast as advertised. They offered a bogo coupon for a local restaurant

There was no staff at the Northwinds had to go half a block away to check in and out. No ice machine at Northwinds and the one at other motel half a block away was empty.

The reopening of Michigan will take time. The motel did not have a pool, but I could use the bridgeview or Hamilton select inn. The staff was good. It will take time to get everything up to speed. The staff can work on getting everything up to speed. I will give them a chance. The view from the front door of my room was priceless. The bridge and the beach made it cool. Northwinds is a simple, old style motel. That is the charm of it. It is not for everyone. Hamilton select is more modern. Sunrise Beach is more of a family oriented place. It was not perfect, but they made it work for me.

Hot water. It was fixed. The idea of using other hotels for the pool/hot tub is cool, but takes some time to get used to. It is a modular idea. It is not for everyone. Again I will give them a chance. They got my ticket for the ferry. It will take time to get back to the new normal. Do not expect miracles when the world is reopening. In june/july/august they should be up to speed.

External location is too good

Its good for very small stay.

On the lake,

broken lock on door, all windows dirty and cobwebby, never felt secure, mattresses were bouncy, room needed a good scrubbing and paint, desperately over priced, no staff on the grounds, didn't have any other options because the internet showed all motels in the city as booked for this weekend. What a bunch of crap!!
