Not really much to like.
Walking up the steps to the second floor made us feel like we were drunk. The stairs were uneven, and from what I can tell, were made of wood and have warped very bad. The bathroom is almost to the point of being unacceptable. Bathtub was horribly stained (friend who stayed in another room said the same thing about their tub). Shower curtain was frayed and should have been replaced months ago. Shower curtain rod is extremely loose. Paint chipping and just in bad shape. Entire bathroom should be redone. Entrance (opposite office) was unlocked at night, and is next to wooded area, not well lit, and we were uneasy coming back after dark. Only had 3 very flat pillows and no spare pillows in the room. There was only 1 regular and 1 decaf coffee in the room. So, only 1 person gets regular coffee? Not a good idea. The lounge chair in the room had very dirty arm rests and it appears that has not been cleaned. I should have reviewed Google Reviews before we booked.

The front desk man was very friendly
The room we originally booked had a problem so we were moved to a smaller bed. Which was uncomfortable and only had a sheet and a thin cover and 1 pillow. Room was dusty and grubby looking. The shower was scary. The whole place needs a clean and an upgrade.

Location.--quiet & convenient. A/C was good. Drapery problem was fixed promptly.
Needed more towels. Grab bar needed on wall at tub exit. Arms of recliner were yucky. Better housecleaning needed.
When we checked out at 10:00 there was a sign saying "No one on duty until 3:00." Someone should be available in the office during daylight hours.

Loved this dog friendly location. Close to Cunningham Falls State park and short drive to Gettysburg. The shower was great, the room was pleasant. For the price it was exceptional. Hot water and the air conditioner kept the room cool. My dog loved it!
.They could improve the bathroom cleanliness. It is an old hotel so wasn't expecting much. They could also change the lamp shades. The room was tidy but needs updating to say the least.

temp control on the heating unit just spun, had no affect on the temp for the unit heating the room, unit heated either none or full hot. so you just had to run for a little while then shut off, then repeat the process later on.

The check in process was slow, the room was dirty, pillow cases were stained, toilet was not clean, and there were sketchy people drinking and smoking outside the front door.

The man that checked me in was very friendly and efficient. The location was perfect.
Very old and dated. Said a non smoking facility but that’s all you smelled when I got to the second floor.

The cleanliness of the rooms, the 1st room we refused due to odor in room 2nd room still musty smelling and the chair was badly stained and did not smell good either.

Location was good for access to Gettysburg
Deplorable overall maint. This is typical of most (nearly all) of this type of ownership. I have been in lots of them and maint and cleanliness is is not of any concern to the owners.

The place was in a great & convenient location to all we wanted to do. Nice restaurants were close as well.
We wondered if the place was still suffering from COVID issues. It seemed like things were stagnant & still in a reopening mode. We had reserved for 3 nights. Little amenities were missing - only 1 tiny cake of soap, 1 styrofoam cup, 1 paper cup. No complementary shampoo. We asked for some extra towels / washcloths. The room attendant said they would have to take our towels & washcloths, wash them & then give them back to us because they didn’t have any extras. We felt sad for the place.

Cheaply priced
There was no ac in the lobby or hallways. The man at the check in desk was very unkempt and pouring sweat from the heat and also had his 2 year old screaming grandson with him. The cabinet doors were falling off behind the desk. There were people drinking alcohol in the parking lot. The front desk had no one there in the morning before the 11 oclock check out with a sign stating no one would return until 3pm and when my key card wouldn't work for the 8th time I had to go searching for the cleaning staff (they only have 1 man) to get back in my room and retrieve the rest of my belongings. Upon finding the cleaning man to let me back into my room he had beer visibly sticking out of his pockets and was carrying one in his hand. The room and bathroom were filthy and smelled of bug spray. I would never stay here again nor would I recommend anyone to stay here even with the rooms being about $60 per night.

It was cheap.
There were drunk people hanging out in front of the Lobby door which made it very uncomfortable to pass through. The rooms were only half clean, sheets did not look clean and there was hair on my pillow which I went down to the front desk and they gave me a new pillow. They only had one housekeeper and the guy at the front desk was running around like crazy trying to help everyone.

The staff were generally helpful and the location was convenient.
We had a problem with a clogged toilet. We reported this to the staff before we left in the morning. While they said it was fixed when we retinal the evening, the toilet became clogged again immediately. This suggests that it was not fully or properly repaired the first time. This was a substantial inconvenience.

Price too much the towels and wash clothes were old and so stained I was scared to use them the comforter was stained as well the outside , side door was broke the hall way carpet very stained not a good place to stay for 80 dollars the gentleman at the front desk was nice.
Other then that 2 stars.
And the room had a musty mold smell when you walk in.
And still no breakfast offered
