Amazing Marblehead stay!

The historic charm. The space was wonderful!

We had to carry bags up in the rain. Check in was difficult. The staff DID respond to us quickly however.

If you like beautiful historical homes and great service this is the place for you.

We all enjoyed the breakfast; it was not a hot breakfast, but still tasty and light and healthy . All the staff were so friendly and helpful.

The room was overpriced for what it was even in Marblehead.

It is in a good location.

Over priced breakfast is continental at best. Ants in my room and in window air conditioner extremely loud. Room had uneven floor and while bed was comfortable had boards going around side that made entry difficult.

We had a quiet relaxing lovely stay

A stunning home with lovely bedrooms. Some barhrooms are larger & newer than others. The staff was kind & helpful.

If there were a few more breakfast options.

wonderful stay on the North Shore

they let us check in early. This enabled us to catch a nap before our dinner reservation, staff was very friendly and helpful. Great that they provided breakfast.

We loved our stay! So charming.

Loved this hotel, the wonderful staff, delightful decor, comfortable bed and bedding, location, service and kindness. Also liked the breakfast and coffee every morning and the lovely sitting and lounge area. The room and hotel have kept its vintage old feel of this remarkable dwelling. A perfect choice for our stay in Marblehead.

The coffee could be a tad stronger. We noticed some old stains on the clean towels.

Very poor

It wasn’t breakfast. It was a continental breakfast, which consisted of some fruit some bread ,yogurt with cereal. Not what I would call breakfast. It should be stated as a continental breakfast.

It’s an old house and has few of the expected benefits of a hotel, such as USBUV ports, and extra plugs for plugging in all the chargers that we travel with

Absolute must stay if you’re in the area.

We had an absolute wonderful time at this place. Easy late check-in, very clean, comfortable beds, and hot water. We loved the small breakfast in the mornings before we went out to explore. Highly recommend!

All in all a nice hotel

Love the look of the hotel and the staff

The 9 pm curfew is a little early. You can hear right thru the walls. Cannot even play a game in your room with friends! People called and reported us for laughing in our room! Need to think about this is staying here!

Loved the hotel!

This hotel is charming and beautiful. We stayed while visiting Salem which is a short uber ride. The town of Marblehead is lovely. The room was a perfect size and a comfy bed (loved the soft sheets!)

The walls are thin so recommend bringing ear plugs but think this is just par for the course with an older hotel. Or almost any hotel these days.

Breakfast was good be mindful it is small! But it definitely high quality! Location is perfect to walk places and go to Salem if you want to visit there as well!

large room and en-suite

no personal touches. very sterile. no character. breakfast was appalling - just fruit, cereal and some hard boiled eggs. not even bread or a toaster!!

We expected a charming old world style however interior is modern and minimalist. only chair in room was uncomfortable for sitting to read. no bottled water and our room was not made up for unknown reason. Breakfast was not adequate to advertise- cheap and disappointing.

A bit skimpy but what was offered was really good.

Shower head needs replacement , TV sound didn’t work.

The bedding and some of the towels smelled like body odor. One of the workers had body odor. Breakfast was included but there was not much to eat, we had to go out to breakfast everyday. No worker on site overnight is a security issue. The cost did not reflect the quality, the hotel sucked.

It was not "breakfast" as advertised. It was a muffin, some mixed fruit, coffee and maybe yogurt which you picked up yourself. I don't call that breakfast. Muffin was made from a mix, tiny and sticky. What I liked was the bed which was comfortable and place was clean.

There was no place where you could make tea or coffee or find a bottle of water in the evening There was no staff around. There was no place in the room or bathroom to put anything down. I had to put my clothes on the floor or on the one chair but then I couldn't sit down. There was only one nightstand . Sheets were poly. For the price of the room, it could have been more luxurious. there were only 2 hangers. No one offered to help carry our bags to car and we are a quite old.

Deeply disappointing!

The exterior of the building was attractive. The bathroom was okay. The historic OLD TOWN of Marblehead (3 minute drive from the hotel) was dazzlingly beautiful!

Everything. The room was wildly overpriced. A small, dank, not-very-attractive room which should have cost $89-129 was $316 (without taxes). Rugs in the room were stained and ratty. No one was there when we arrived, staff or otherwise. No view. The room felt like a roadside motel on a big, fairly busy road. Really a huge disappointment.

excessively expensive, with subpar accommodations

attractive bedroom, staff was very nice.

bathroom ceiling leaked, shower was feeble, faucet was loose, wall near towel rack was patched with white tape. AC was very loud. We asked for special breakfast milk weeks ago, they confirmed the request, and they failed to get it.

I would recommend this if staying near Boston but wanting to avoid the city.

We loved our room and the bed and pillows were amazing! The front manager was extremely helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our breakfast in the lobby. The downtown area of Marblehead was a great area to visit. Nice to stay away from the hustle of Boston and have free parking.
