The scenery was so beautiful. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We usually stay at Ameristar but we stay at the Grand Z from now on. Affordable, clean, good food and beautiful sites.

The room size is good.
1. When I checked in, the front desk asked me to pay $10 extra service fee on the total price I have from Booking.com. I said I should only pay what is in the booking.com. She said "you can pay me what I told you or you can leave" in a rude tone.

A random $25 charge is added as a “hotel” fee. Them they do a $150 deposit charge on top of that. Granted, the deposit we get back, not a huge deal. But we booked the hotel
for the lower rate. the hotel fee basically ruined the deal we thought we were getting.

-The room was super cute and had an excellent view!
-The bed and pillows are very soft and comfy.
-I liked the way the shampoo and body wash are built into the shower. The lotion is built into the wall in the bathroom.
-The bathroom is way too small. The door is very awkward into the bathroom.
-I would suggest putting a grab bar into the shower for safety reasons.
-No coffee maker. They did give us Starbucks coupons to get a free coffee - but that is not as convenient as making coffee in your room.
-The refrigerator was not plugged in. That would not be an issue, except the front desk failed to mention that we needed to plug it in.
-I asked the front desk clerk, if I could get a comb, she could not find any at the front desk, so she said she would have housekeeping bring me one. When I called down to find out when housekeeping was going to drop that off, a different person at the front desk stated that housekeeping had been gone for 3 hours. We had only checked in less than an hour earlier. Did not expect that answer.

Unfriendly staff it seemed it was an inconvenient to get help from getting checked it to hotel to getting services i.e. drinks both bar and coffee. Please don't get me going on getting someone to answer the telephone I am still trying to get ahold of staff after 3 days from our stay.

We booked our room online. Got there had to put 160.04 deposit which we were only to get back 150 out of that back. Which is fine but unexpected, since it wasn't stated at the time of booking. So then I received my receipt which stated I paid 0 dollars on a deposit. I basically was told they couldn't give me one then reassured me that the charge would only stay pending. So then after we checked out 5 hours later we checked our bank statements because we are from ohio an out of town... we now have another 150 hold that they put on after we checked out.. I called they said that they didn't do it.. needless to say if you're on a budget and don't want 300 pending on your debit card for 2 days don't stay here.

I have stayed here before in the past ,under a different name. I will come back.
I didn't like the fact that I had to pay a resort fee when this is not a resort!! That is a huge issue for me especially when the expectations of a resort are high.

The expansive selection of slot machines, the amazingly comfortable beds and pillows and the friendliness of the bartender at the casino 2nd floor bar on Saturday 2/25 after 7p, his drinks were on point!
The travel distance from the other casinos, the fact the grill closed early and the fact that the vending machines were down on our floor, other than that... no complaints!
