The coffee makers cord wasn’t long enough to plug in; the creamers were hard as a rock like they’d gotten wet; the light over the sink wasn’t working; and the grout in the bathroom tub was worn away in spots and black with mold. The towels could have been larger.

Close to the off ramp yet very quiet. Rural setting. 10 minutes from downtown Northampton . Fridge,microwave, coffeemaker, blowdryer. Have been in cold & hot weather AC & heater work fast.Family owned , friendly & helpful owners.

Staff was pleasant. Bed was comfortable. Coffeemaker worked. Shower worked. Location was good.

Fluorescent lighting buzzed. Wifi didn't work. Bath caulking in need of repair. Vanity counter reinforced with tape. Unpleasant odor.

We hated it. It was extremely run down and appeared to be used as long term rental rooms for folks who can’t afford monthly rental rates for more than just a room. That is a fine situation if true, but no reason for the room to be so dirty and it smelled terrible. It was so old, everything. The phone was in a draw, no plug. The window was so dirty and webs growing in the corners. The bedding had to be 40 years old, pillows disgusting. The rug smelled so bad. The lighting was ancient. Don’t waste your money here. We went to a wedding on a farm not far from motel and did no research on the hotel. As we drove to venue we were minutes away from big name inexpensive hotels and had no idea. The check in person was lovely but as we opened the door of the room the smell was overwhelming. Big mistake on my part for no research done. We stayed one night but left at 5am because we couldn’t sleep. We stopped to grab coffees and asked about the motel. It’s referred to as the “BATES” motel and people don’t ever stay there but live there. A big lesson learned. Do not stay here. Sorry to owners but please fix it up then maybe you have potential.

The wifi was nonexistent. I connected to the wifi on all my devices, but...no connection to the Internet, even after the clerk rebooted. I missed lots of work and a meeting because of this.

The beds were comfortable, with nice, firm mattresses. The front desk staff was friendly.

There was no breakfast that we knew of, only a packet of instant coffee in our room. All of the fixtures and building materials were shoddy and low quality. Towels were small, thin, and stiff. The soap broke into fragments as we took it out of the wrapper. It was nice to have a refrigerator provided, but it was so noisy we had to unplug it in order to sleep.

The motel was a good value - clean, good location, friendly owners. Very close to I91.

Staff was helpful in allowing us to cancel second night after we found the premises unsatisfactory.

The room smelled strongly of mold and cigarette smoke. We had to leave after one night as it was impossible to stay there.

We were nearly put off by the very dated-looking main photo for this place, but very glad we booked as it exceeded our expectations. It was a bargain and a pleasant place to stay. Great location for what we wanted. The walk into town was long (50-60 minutes to the town centre) but safe and very doable. Several decent supermarkets nearby. Lots of parking. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. Air conditioning worked well (we did have one temporary problem, but a test/reset solved it) and was necessary in the heat. No issues with noise from neighbours or street. TV and microwave provided and worked. Enough sockets to charge phones etc, which was important during a long stay.

The wifi was unreliable to the point of being useless — I think it was a wireless repeater and it was having trouble staying connected to the main network. Fortunately, although mobile phone signal (AT&T) appeared weak it was actually fine for both data and voice, so we used this and did not even raise the issue with management. This was the only problem.

Bedding clean, towels clean.

Bathroom moldy, caulking around tub almost black with mold, half the caulking missing around tub. Shower curtain had black mold spots on it, chairs in sitting area were filthy and stained, heavy dust in corners on floor, carpet very dirty - had to clean our feet before putting our shoes on. Dark hair on bathroom floor. Sink plug wouldn't function. Food splatters in microwave. Splatters of "something" on headboard. Fortunately we travel with disinfecting wipes and subsequently cleaned all surfaces with them before using. Town was very busy so possibility of other lodging was slim, which is why we toughed it out and stayed VERY happy to leave in the morning. This property is in dire need of an extremely deep clean and some serious maintenence. Would Not recommend anyone stay here - at least not in room 16!
