It has a great common area. The rooms are nice and renovated.
It’s noisy as the walls are thin. The staff provide ear plugs to help with this.

Very kind owners; good food; very cool concept in their bookshop / bar

Everything! This is a beautifully curated and styled book shop, with tasteful rooms, in an idyllic setting, serving delicious food.
This place was faultless.

Very cute with a bar at night and friendly staff. Excellent location near the beach and many walks to observation decks. Short walk to convenience store and over the bridge to a supermarket.

It was my first time in Japan but when I entered the accommodation it made me feel at home 😊 Everything exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be back!

If you're visiting Kinosaki onsen, this is the best place to stay. Located just a short drive from the famous bath houses, it's in a sleepy village that sits next to a beautiful stretch of beach that my friends and I swam in after enjoying the town's hot springs. The traditional style, modern appliances and extra considerations of the guesthouse made for a very comfortable and convenient stay, as well as an aesthetically pleasing experience. Best of all were the hosts, who were genuinely friendly and helpful people that I would be very happy to stay with again should I be lucky enough to visit this part of Japan.

Super cute renovated house. Love the traditional looking room/futon and the nohohon/1st Floor has really cool books, stamps, local information, etc. Love how close it is to the beach and not too far from the train station (very easy to find as well). Feels very nostalgic and peaceful.

Very quaint location in small village. The ambiance was lovely and rooms were comfortable with excellent supply of cushions and pillows. Very close to kinosaki onsen
Nothing that would stop us returning. Though there is only 1 shower room but this was not an issue for us

Excellent location! Takeno is a very cute town with a gorgeous beach, close to Kinosaki Onsen. Hosts were very friendly, helpful and kind, and communication was easy in spite of me knowing no Japanese. Origato!

The staff were super friendly and the breakfast & dinner delicious! The rice served was freshly harvested and the side dishes were homemade by the owner. Definitely recommend it.

Lovely staff, they gave me homemade biscuits, list of indie Japanese singers and lots of good vibes with their music, next door there's an old lady cooking curry and who treated me to a few things, will come back!

The beautiful, renovated, traditional building. Stylish decor. The rooms were spotlessly clean. The friendly and very helpful staff. (The owner helped us organize sea-kayaking for our group of 5 and drove us to the train station one day when we missed our bus.) Very close to the sea and gorgeous Takeno beach. The beautiful town with its traditional buildings and stunning location on the coastline.

The price was right and it was so close to the beach. We felt really at home here. They arranged for us to go Sea Kayaking and it was a great experience.
The time the shower was open wasn't always convenient.
