About this condo rental
ADVANTAGE OF THE PROPERTY The apartment is situaded in La Morra’s centre at the hightest point of the first village of Barolo Region. It borders with the San Rocco Church which was built in the 18th century. You’ll find the property in the historical centre, directly opposite the town hall and the impressive Barocca church dedicated to San Martin (the patron saint of the village). The famous CANTINA COMUNALE (see photo), the Gallo Wine Gallery, and the Barolo’s wine Cellar are just a short walk from the residence. Amoung its shelves is a grand choise of bottles of local wines, or otherwise you may choose to wandel through Bastioni with its beautiful views of surronding vineyards facing your residence. And for those wishing to stay in the centre of town, a short stroll away you’ll find shop, restaurants, pubs and vineyards and the “Seven paths to Barolo” that you’ll find between the vineyards. So, why choose to stay at La Morra? Because it’s the most well known village in the “Langarole” Hills and because at 513 s/l it’s highest region in the area sporting panoramic views. It’s no wonder it has come to be known as “Belvedere delle Langhe” (the lookout point of the Langhe Hills). Also, it’s a village situated between working vineyards with a large portion of “Vineyards di Nebbiolo” the oldest native vine of black grapes of Piedmont. One of the most noble and precious types of grape in Italy which has given rise to a series of great wines including Barolo, Piedmont’s Pride in the wine world. In the apartment there is Wi-fi. You must pay for the municipality of La Morra a new tax of 1,5 Euro per tourist per day

Mariella's apartment was the perfect home away from home to explore all that is wonderful about the Langhe.
We have been to this region of Italy before and have always stayed in inns and B&Bs. This time we wanted to partake in all that the great farmers markets and food shops had to offer by enjoying some meals back at the apartment after a day of touring.
Mariella was always available for questions and inquiries. She met us for coffee one morning and went out of her way to help us address a sort of "self-inflicted" problem.
We will definitely be back.

Nice apartment, well laid out and equipped with a sweet bathroom. Very comfortable, from the couch to the bed. The location is great, at the center of town, within easy walking distance of everything you would want to see and do. We had no problem with access, but if you have mobility issues, you should know you must climb several flights of stairs to the third floor. Not an issue for us at all, but might pose an issue for others who are less mobile.

We were so lucky that we found this wonderful VRBO located in the village of La Morra. Very spacious, spotlessly clean and perfect for two people. Our host Mariella, was fantastic. Our only reservation was parking which can be a bit challenging on weekends. Enjoyed it very much.

Amazing apartment in the center of La Morra
This apartment was fantastic…it was in a perfect location and perfect size for two of us…having a kitchen and separate living room was perfect for relaxing. You can walk everywhere for a cafe, glass of wine, supermarket, pastry and pasta shop, etc. Mariella was great and sent a lot of recommendations as well as information. Very helpful and quick with the responses. Having a washing machine in the apartment was also a plus. Definitely would stay here again and hope to do so soon. Thanks for everything!

Excellent apartment in cute La Morra
This was the perfect base for us to explore the surrounding areas and attend the Alba White Truffle festival. Mariella was a great host, super prompt over messaging, personable and funny.

This was a wonderful apartment in the center of La Morra --- absolutely perfect in every way. It comes fully equipped with everything you might need during your stay and visit to this charming town. And Mariella couldn't be nicer or more communicative -- she met us in the town square and showed us everything in the apartment and she kept in contact with us during our stay to be sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely come back here if possible!

We had a lovely week in La Morra area:
Mariella’s apartment is as described - it is clean, quiet, convenient and well provisioned. La Morra was an idea base for our week’s stay. It had all that we needed/wanted: a local market; good coffee and pastries; ATM; restaurants; and a helpful tourist information office. We enjoyed many restaurants and wines within the Langhe area. Our pick of restaurants within walking distance of the apartment (800 m downhill) would be Locanda Fontanazza Osteria. Fabulous food at reasonable prices - very popular, so make sure you book. Thanks Mariella.

Perfection!
This is our second time staying at Mariella’s apartment and it was just as wonderful this time as last. The location is perfect, the apartment is meticulous and welcoming, and Mariella is a wonderful host! The views are perfect when enjoying coffee on the terrace, and the short drive to the numerous towns make La Morra an ideal location for relaxation and exploring. Highly recommmend!

A beautiful apartment in LaMorra
This apartment in LaMorra served as our base for exploring the Langhe region. Mariella was a wonderful host. She was in contact several times before our visit to provide us essential information. She met us at the apartment which is beautifully appointed and equipped. It had everything that we could need for our stay. Parking is in a nearby lot and we were always able to find a space. Mariella allowed me to use her storage room for my bicycle. She and her husband, Franco, hosted us at a wine tasting and provided us with great recommendations on wine, restaurants and local sights. We had a wonderful stay and will return. Thanks Mariella!

Beautifully furnished and stocked with every basic need and more. Can't say enough great things about apartment and experience--Mariella met us and showed us everything needed to know about unit and the area. Incredibly welcoming and personable with a beautiful and delicious torte waiting for us plus inviting us to wine tasting for day after arrival. Apartment is large and beautifully furnished. Location and views from LaMorra also a plus. Visited other villages but so happy we chose LaMorra and this apartment. From first inquiry throughout our stay, Mariella was responsive. Would love to get to know Mariella and Franco better.....delightful couple. Everything about this rental gets much, much more than a 5 rating. Highly recommend as base if visiting this lovely area of Italy.

Great appartement and great area for hiking
My husband and I stayed for one week during Easter. The appartement is very nice, clean, well furnished and perfect for a couple. The village and surroundings are beautiful and perfect for hiking. Mariella is a very welcoming host and gave us all the information we needed. We highly recommend this appartement and we hope to return some day!

Mariella was very accommodating even tho' we were delayed in our arrival. The location of the apartment couldn't be better. The apartment itself is lovely, very comfortable and nicely furnished. The La Morra area is beautiful and we hope to return.

Wonderful Stay
We had a wonderful stay in Mariella's apartment. It was perfect for the three of us (2 adults and one child). The apartment itself is spotlessly clean and has everything you need and more. Mariella and Franco were there to greet us, provided all the information we needed and kept in touch throughout our stay. La Morra itself is a wonderful town and the apartment is perfectly situated in the old town. La Morra has everything you need. We also visited many other lovely towns in the region - Alba, Asti, Barolo, Barbaresco, Nieve etc. and whilst these were all beautiful we were glad we were staying in La Morra, it was perfect. I would recommend a visit to Piedmont if you want to experience wonderful scenery, food, wine and people and would definitely go back to Mariella's apartment and La Morra.

Great apartment; great location; great host
This apartment was perfect for us. Mariella is a thoughtful and generous host. I have never had a host greet us with a welcome cake!
It was well stocked, furnished and comfortable. It felt like home. We love la Morra. Great for dinners home or out; walks short and long; and day trips to Alba, Barolo, Montfort d’Alba etc.
Please go and have fun. And thank Mariella for being a thoughtful and professional host.

La Morra stole our hearts ♥️
La Morra is a beautiful little gem in the middle of Barolo country. Mariela and Franco’s gorgeous apartment is just perfect, beautifully maintained, clean as a whistle with everything you need to feel at home in of the the prettiest little villages we have ever stayed in. Thank you both for allowing us into your beautiful apartment and village .... we will be back!

Great apartment, great location
We stayed here for 15 nights in September and October and we would not have changed a thing.
The apartment is every bit as nice as it looks in the photos. It is clean and bright, and nicely decorated. The furniture in the sitting area is very comfortable. The TV and DVD player are easy to use, and there is a large selection of DVD’s for the occasional rain day.
The kitchen is large and well laid out. It is fully equipped with more pots and pans and utensils than a lot of people have in their homes, including two coffee makers and two truffle slicers. It even has a dish washer.
The bathroom is large and bright with a shower larger than some hotels we have stayed in.
The bedroom is well laid out with two wardrobes and a very comfortable bed.
We enjoyed the table and chairs outside the door. It was a nice place to have beverage in the afternoon or after dinner. We never felt like we were bothering the neighbors, and they were not a bother to us.
Parking was usually available near the church at the top of the hill. When it was not, we parked in the large public lot a few hundred meters away.
There are a number or restaurants and cafes a short walk away.
Best of all, Mariella was a wonderful host eager to help with recommendations and answer any questions we had. We hope to return in a few years!

Beautiful apartment in a lovely location
My husband and I spent 9 nights in this lovely decorated apartment. It was very comfortable, clean and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal.
Mariella met us and reviewed everything in the apartment including where to park. There is plenty of free parking nearby.Mariella was also very helpful with making dinner reservations as well. There are plenty of nice restaurants in La Morra.
Mariella and Franco were wonderful hosts, always quick to answer questions. We were very fortunate to attend a local wine tasting at the Cantina Comunale where Franco volunteers on the weekend. Thanks again Mariellla and Franco for a lovely afternoon of sampling local wines.
We would most definitely recommend this apartment.

Perfect location in La Morra
Wonderful apartment, nicely finished, perfect location, quiet and comfortable. Mariella was a great host and met us to show us around. I would stay here again. We went with two adults and one infant. La Morra is beautiful and we hope to return.

Vietimme 9 yötä Mariellan huoneistossa kesäkuun alussa. Huoneisto on erittäin mukava ja kotoinen, hieman hämärä tosin. Olemme käyneet Piemontessa useasti, mutta mukavampaa kylää kuin La Morra on vaikea löytää. Sijainti keskellä Barolon viinialuetta on täydellinen eikä Maailman perintökohdestatuksen saaneeseen Barolon viinitilamaisemaan voi kyllästyä. Tänne uudestaan!
We spent 9 nights in Mariella's apartment in the beginning of june. The apartment is very nice and cosy, a bit dim though. We’ve been in Piemont many times before and haven't seen a nicer village than La Morra. The location in the middle of Barolo area is perfect and you cannot get bored with the UNESCO World Heritage view to the Barolo vineyards. We will definately return.

Wonderful apartment in a great location!
We spent 11 nights in Mariella's apartment recently and could not have been more pleased. The apartment is as nice as the web site and the reviews indicate -- extremely comfortable, sparkling clean, in a great location for visiting the small towns and wineries in the Langhe. And Mariella herself -- what more can I add to what's already been said? She is the perfect hostess -- always ready to answer questions via email before our visit, and then so concerned that we have a great visit. I really can't think of one thing that deserves criticism about the apartment -- easy parking, great WiFi, well-equipped kitchen, roomy bedroom and bathroom, comfortable living room, with lovely views. Thank you, Mariella, for the opportunity to stay in your apartment and for your wonderful hospitality!

Amazing, Fantastic, a dream
Mariella and Franco are amazing hosts, we felt like were were friends and not just "renters" of the apartment. They went out of their way to make us feel like we were a part of their family and a part of LaMorra. We arrived on a Saturday and left on a Saturday and were able to attend 2 wine tasting at the Cantina Comunale. We arrived when all the winemakers were harvesting and showcasing their wines. Piedmont is known for their Barola, Barbaresco, and Nebbiolo wines and we were able to taste some very wines that are are expensive in the USA. The apartment is spacious, very clean (which is really important to me), modern and comfortable. I can't say enough about our week in LaMorra. The towns that were recommended to visit, and the restaurants that Mariella recommended were wonderful. This was probably one of the first trips in which my husband and I felt like we not just tourists, but we experienced Italy as an insider. I give all of the credit for that to Mariella and Franco. We hope to remain in touch with Mariella and Franco, to return to LaMorra, and to become lifelong friends!

This apartment is well located in the centre of La Morra and a good base to explore the Langhe. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. Sad to leave and hope to be back soon again!
