About this house rental
We welcome you to our cozy cottage in the perfect location. Whether you have a busy family or are looking for a romantic getaway or time away with friends, this is the ideal spot. With two queen beds and one double bed in the 3 bedrooms, there is plenty of sleeping space. The single level cottage has a nice open floor plan with a living room and porch with dining and seating area that opens up to a deck with magnificent lake views. Only 2 steps into and out of the cottage make it easy to maneuver around. The fenced yard, level lakefront, and easy dock stairs make this great for families with children. The yard always has a nice mix of sun and shade. The size of Lamoka Lake makes it just right for swimming and canoeing, due to the water warming quicker and being calmer than the larger finger lakes. Fish off the dock, use our lake frontage to enter the water for a swim, or put your boat in a few minutes away, at the boat launch, and tie off to the dock to enjoy water sports. There is a row boat and canoe for your use and enjoyment- kid and adult sized life jackets will be supplied. You can paddle right to Red Bank Island where you can swing off a tree rope, swim, and enjoy beautiful views as well. Lamoka lake is centrally located in the Finger Lakes' wine region with several micro breweries and is 20 minutes from Watkins Glen, 35 minutes from Corning, NY, 20 mins to large grocery store for your convenience. Lamoka Lake is also connected to Waneta Lake through a channel so you can enjoy both lakes. There is state land with thousands of acres and miles of hiking trails within minutes, and it's only 20 mins away from Watkins Glen State Park with awesome gorge and waterfall hikes. Golfers would enjoy the 10 minute drive to two different golf courses in the fingerlakes. Quiet roads and "off the beaten path" surroundings bring a peaceful, serene and relaxing feel to this vacation home. Enjoy waking up to incredible sunrises, fish jumping, relaxing on the deck, in the water, or in the shade all day and go to bed after a campfire in the fire pit.

We've stayed here before and hope to stay again. We enjoyed sunrises, relaxing on the lawn, campfires, cooking on the grill, kayaking, spending time with family. We visited Crystal Valley Farm, Macgregor's, shopped in Hammondsport, ate at the BBQ place on Waneta Lake during sunset, and attended WGI. It was a jam packed 5 days.

Cozy, comfortable cottage with perfect access to the lake. Fishing right off the dock was a highlight for our 11-year-old. Gorgeous view. The cell service is very spotty or unavailable, but the WiFi worked great.

Nothing fancy. Great for fishing , didn’t have an hour without catching something at the dock. Great kayaking. Very low water pressure in shower so time your showers accordingly! Very quiet, peaceful, beautiful. Watkins Glen is wonderful…. Good food and pier. Truly relaxing trip.

Our family of five loved staying at this property. The beds and pillows were comfy, the deck and yard are perfect, the rowboat and kayaks are so super fun, and that lakeside view and access is amazing. We enjoyed the smaller lake (compared to Seneca), and easy access to popular attractions. Staying at the property and enjoying a day at the lake was perfect too. Our week there zoomed by and we loved it.

We were very happy with the property. Very quiet, great location in terms of being on a lake and close to other destinations in the area. Very friendly neighbors. The only other feedback we have to offer - the owners have a dog (apparently). Two people in my family have pet allergies, so we specifically seek out rentals that don't allow pets, and this one doesn't. However, we noticed a leash and other items related to a dog in the house and dog hair on some of the blankets / carpets. Not a lot by any means, but it did bother our allergies initially. It wasn't a bad experience by any means or a deal breaker, we just would have preferred to know this up front (unless we missed it in the listing).

Cute and comfortable cottage. No central heating BUT the space heaters that were provided and the electric fireplace kept us warm.
Chairs in back sunroom were great for reading.
Quiet area but very well located for day trips to Finger Lake region. Host provided info for local restaurants which was helpful (check back of host notes on fridge your first day as we missed this info initially.
Enjoyed the fire pit and starry skies at night.

The property was quaint and directly on the water. It was a pleasant spot to stay as it was centrally located between Watkins Glen, Penn Yan and Hammondsport. Cottage was nice and had a comfy feel.

beautiful property with lake in back yard. Away from all the busy, crazy of daily life. Jean is great, she even made sure that we had kayaks which made my son very happy. We hope to go back next year

Cute little cottage right on the water. Perfect for my husband and me to get away for the week. Our primary activity is always hiking so we didn’t spend a lot of time there but there was a nicely equipped kitchen, grill, fire pit, wood burning stove, canoe, rowboat and fenced in yard. Loved it! Would rent again if we come back!

Cozy little cottage on Lake Lamoka
This little cottage was a terrific base to explore from - a quick and pleasant drive to Keuka Lake and Seneca Lake. It is a really comfortable home to stay in and we enjoyed the beautiful lake views and quiet. Highly recommend a stay here.

This property seems unassuming. It was a great location on the lake. Wish I would have brought a fishing pole as the fish were jumping out of the water in the early am. The supplies that were left were great. There is nothing that we could have needed. Nice spot for a quiet weekend exploring the Finger Lakes.

Good Location
This house was clean and right on a very nice lake - only about 20 minutes from downtown Watkins Glen for food, shopping and hiking. Plus LOTS of wineries, breweries, distilleries, etc. My husband and I enjoyed our stay.

This home had everything you might need but forget to bring. The rooms were comfortable, the beds and pillows were great, and the home was very clean. Wonderful spot for exploring Keuka Lake or just hanging out and having a campfire by the water.

As expected, the house is on the smaller side, but the open floor plan makes it feel more spacious. We also really enjoyed having the backyard on days it was too cold to swim. We played kubb and bocci. Kayaking/canoeing to Red Bank island was also a lot of fun. Overall, the house was perfect for what we were looking for, and so glad we found it!

The cottage was cozy and comfortable and right on the lake with a awesome view of the lake. We used the boat that was available and did some fishing.

Lovely lake cottage
This lovely Lake cottage on Lake lamoka was perfect for our family. Three bedrooms with comfortable mattresses, air conditioning in each bedroom, large shower and wonderful backyard and Patio.
The kayaking/boating was wonderful. The lake does have a large amount of weeds, swimming was a bit difficult, however, there is a beachy swimming area off the island. Also suggest you go to Watkins Glen. It was amazing there! The bike / rail trail called the Catherine Valley Trail, is good. However, it needs to be marked a bit better; be sure to take your phone with GPS. Do not plan on biking from the cottage, these are not little Hills!
Definitely stay here if you are looking to relax! We had a wonderful time.

Family stay, lots of good memories made here.
We enjoyed the cottage, the views, the trips out on the lake(s) and to Red Bank Island. At the cottage we grilled and ate outside, had camp fires, enjoyed the sunrises. The neighbors were friendly. We had a really great time!!

great lake house for the family
We had a wonderful stay. The house was terrific and very comfortable, and my family got a lot of use out of the rowboat and canoe. It's a perfect and quiet home base that's centrally located in the Finger Lakes with lots of hiking and wineries a short drive away. I'm sure we'll be back.

Great vacation
This cottage had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The kids had fun fishing. The weather wasn’t that warm to swim but my kids didn’t like the amount of seaweed anyway. Great getaway for our family!!

Beautiful location & lovely cottage!
The cottage is clean, spacious and had everything we needed to cook and grill meals. Great lawn space for tanning, games. Wrapped up each evening with bonfires. Loved this place!
