Amazing breakfast and a very well-appointed room with lots of thoughtful details. The location is peaceful and away from traffic noise but less than 5 minutes drive from main commuter routes so very convenient. The hosts are so kind and thoughtful and it was lovely to see the animals.

The room was exceptional, all the little extras, homemade brownies, coffee bags instead of sachets, lovely fluffy towels in the bathroom, and wonderfully toiletries. Everything was thought of, and Michelle was so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Top quality food for breakfast and a really relaxed breakfast room with amazing views of the local countryside. This was proper northern hospitality.
Can't think of anything more that could have been done for us.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside

The location just outside Consett is very nice and there are many animals nearby. Our room was clean, comfortably furnished and had a very large, comfortable bed. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and is amply sized if you want. There is also plenty to do for families with children, e.g. a petting corner, alpacas, donkey etc. We give *****.
There was nothing to complain about.

Breakfast was the best I have had at any B&B

Michelle is a lovely, welcoming, and attentive host. Nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom and facilities were five star standards. We had grandchildren visiting us for one day. Michelle and her staff were brilliant, walking the donkeys whilst the children were in the saddle. Also, the alpacas and goats were brought out and supervised, allowing safe petting. It's a fantastic B&B in lovely scenic countryside.
Everything was spot on.

This isn't a home from home, it's so much better than I imagined. A warm welcome and a very comfortable stylish and quirky room, with every detail thought out. From the luxurious toiletries and top notch towels and linens, through to the thoughtful touches like Christmas lights and some cake. Decent tea bags and coffee, fresh milk and excellent breakfast choices. USB charging points in the room too. And the chance to interact with the animals in this peaceful scenic location. I was sad to leave.
I wished I was staying for a week.

In a lovely peaceful location with beautiful scenery . Not to far away to travel to Durham, Newcastle, Hexham.
Lovely welcome by the hostess , tea & coffee facilities in the room and small fridge. A lovely cooked breakfast or lighter choice each morning .

The room was so comfortable with so many added extras…homemade chocolate brownies on arrival, an Easter egg for our son, cowshed toiletries, homemade shortbread biscuits on our second day. The location was great, it was wonderful that there were animals there too (goats, a donkey, Shetland pony, horse, alpacas…my son was able to help the owner, Michelle, feed them which he loved).
nothing, it was all fantastic

Michelle & Ken were the most lovely and helpful people we've ever met. They were very kind to drive us to and from the wedding we attended at Derwent Manor. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, it kept us going all day! We will definitely stay again!

Everything !! Room was gorgeous, bowl, treats and bed for Bella. Luxury cowshed shampoo, body wash ect in bathroom. Shower amazing. Food was exceptional from Michelle, we have never been fed so well on holiday. So accommodating of our dalmation she was made to feel very welcome and could come with us for tea and breakfast. This was brilliant as we didn't have to rush or feel like she was in the way. The animals were gorgeous especially Charlie and Billy the resident dogs. A real hidden gem in the countryside. We shall definitely be returning !!
Nothing at all apart from we couldn't fit in all the home made apple pie !!

Welcome was lovely from Michelle. Both owners very helpful with great knowledge of the area. House very comfortable and owners had thought of everything but were still keen to know if we could make suggestions on how to improve their vegetarian breakfast for example. Lovely home baked bread and local produce. Michelle and Ken were eager that we enjoyed our stay with them.
Nothing we could think of. A drive into the country to get to the property but this was no problem really.
