Interesting, quirky and unusual place with extremely comfortable, large rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

There were a lot of wasps around the swimming pool. Must have been a nest nearby.

The service and hosting from Clare and Monique was exemplary, they were extremely helpful for any advice or assistance required. The gardener was also lovely and helpful when walking in the grounds. The Chateau was excellent and the 'real deal'. Everthing about it is authentic right down to the place settings. If you want a genuine comfortable Chateau experience, Raissac will not dissapoint you. We extended our stay by 3 nights as a testimony to the comfort and service.

Beautiful chateau, wonderful hosts and lovely grounds. Everything was spotlessly clean. Jean’s paintings and Christine’s ceramics turn their historic family home into a magical parallel universe. If he is available, Jean cooks delicious dinners accompanied by excellent wine from the family vineyards. Christine also offers a fascinating tour of her remarkable collection of ceramics, including her own works. Monika, who runs things with them, could not be more helpful.

No facilities

The room was beautiful and the food was great, but above all we loved the host - her character, her family history, her story and her artwork - and the incredible and wholly unexpected murals and sculptures. We had planned on visiting a museum nearby but instead stayed in the grounds and browsed! We will certainly be back.
