Friendly village pub

Good location. Great staff in the bar / restaurant especially Dawn who went above and beyond. Food lovely

Friendly local pub with good rooms and good food.

Friendly staff. Great pub, restaurant and beer garden. Food service until 9 so if you are travelling for work, you stand a good chance of food when you get there. Short stay from Daventry for where we needed to be for work. Room was plenty big with a very comfy bed. Free WiFi. Best night sleep I have had in a while.

TV was temperamental on some channels. Didn't work at night on some channels then did in the morning but shortly went off again as the morning rolled on. Perhaps an interference issue? Only stayed one night so wasn't the end of the world as the WiFi was strong enough to compensate instead.

Exceptional

The accommodation was great, lovely old country pub and the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and a well stocked bar.

A brief visit, they only offer a room only deal. Food was okay, typical pub fare. Didn’t get offered the Tapas menu.

Location perfect for us, very clean and tidy and friendly staff.

The noise coming up from the bar but to be fair after midnight it was very quiet.

Best location and value anywhere in the Rugby area, highly recommend!

You could not find a better room for the price and location. Everyone at the pub was incredibly friendly, even let us keep our bags in the room until we came back, and helped us book taxis and everything we needed. Unbelievably friendly!

The only thing i would have liked was soap and shampoo in the shower, but that was my fault for forgetting to check if they had it.

Lovely B&B in a very nice rural location

Everybody was friendly and welcoming Lovely outside seating area Nice variety on pub menu especially Tapas

No toiletries provided apart from hand wash Just stayed for one night and didn’t get chance to ask if any were available but a small shower gel in bathroom would have helped

Looks nice in pictures but was disappointed

The furniture was stylish, great carpet

the curtains and blinds were cream which let all the morning light in, so it was extremely light at 5am and difficult to get back to sleep Lack of welcome biscuits after a long journey to have with a cup of tea, the cups were tiny and there was a sauser missing, had to ask the bar for the hair dryer as it was not in room. The sink drained very slowly, the bed was not comfortable it was like a board! One window is broken and full of condensation water.

Pleasant room and good food in evening

Location was excellent as we were visiting family close by. Room was comfortable and adequate for our needs. Ate in pub for evening meal which was good.

The only problem was there was live music on the Sunday night which was loud. But it didn't go on too late

Good value, with a couple of niggles!

Room spotless and well furnished.

Arrived to find there was no record in the diary of my booking, although this was not a problem as there were several empty rooms. Although I was aware, no breakfast is provided, which is a real downside, but there is a shop next door for sandwiches, etc. Bathroom is very small, with nowhere to put your toiletries except on the floor. Having said the above, it’s good value.

The sink in the bathroom was too small so water went everywhere when used and water drained away really slowly.

An enjoyable experience. I would certainly stay there again.

The Red Lion does not provide breakfast but there are plenty of places nearby to eat. I enjoyed the evening meal. The staff were very efficient and friendly.

Good

The room was very clean, bright & modern.

The TV was not working on the first night & you can hear a fair bit of noise from the pub below, so no ideal if you have an early start.

Really nice village pub with a decent and clean, if a little small, room. Pub served a decent pint and the food was great. service was excellent
