TERRIBLE and DODGY PLACE

Gopala's Restaurant near by. The only thing in Kalighat which is good.

First, the management of this hotel is very unprofessional foul language and communication is poor ( may be hardly they have any education , it looks like ). Please avoid this hotel if you wish to sleep. We had requested for a non smoking clean fresh room on booking.com. But they did not even bother and they gave us smoking smelly room with bed bugs and enitre room smelt sewage . We had no choice hence we booked as it was close to temple. There was a fight going on in the reception and all dodgy things could be happening here, although they say unmarried couples not allowed, it is probably to attract customers to show they are more clean, but things happen behind. its a shady place. Avoid avoid avoid. Also breakfast is from the vendors on the road side and they provide it on their tables as if its been prepared by them. One will fall sick with stomach bugs, if you see where it comes from you will be shocked ! This is not a place for someone who has lived his/her life abroad or any cleaner atmosphere. Sorry for being HONEST ! total rundown. Never ever Kolkata again! Don't waste your hard earned money

The room is quite spacious and clean with all the basic amenities provided.

The staff kept on calling the room asking on simple things and especially if you’re not an early bird, its quite annoying in the morning.

Best value for money

I liked the room Cleanliness, staffs were helpful, there were some stains in the blanket, when I informed they change that. Breakfast was moderate, liked their kochuri and alur dum most.

Most of the time ola and uber drivers drop off a bit far from the hotel cause the hotel is placed in onr way road.

we were happy with the front desk staff, he was trying to help us. but infrastructure was sad

I liked only the behavior of the front desk staff

The facilities was not as was mentioned on booking.com. The internet was extremely erratic and unstable and this was the reason why we had to leave the property even though we booked the hotel for 5 nights.

Good

It's price worthy. Most of the visiting places are within 3 to 5 km. The location of this hotel is very convenient to use metro.

They don't provide toothbrush. Staffs are Ok, Here they have chances to improvements.

It was a noce stay, but not good for office guys. Can't trust wifi/internet connection.

I liked the location of the hotel. The room was well organised and all necessary things are well placed. It was neat and clean

The wifi service is not at all reliable. I kept on asking them to fix it, but had no luck. At the end, around at 9:00PM, they said it's already night, can't fix it since the technicians are not available. It badly impacted my office call. The room service guys are asking for tips for every time I ask for a service. Even for an extra water bottle, the guy came asked for tips. This was annoying.

It was just okay

The bedsheets were not properly cleaned or might not have been changed . I have shared the picture of bedsheets stained with red , it looked to me like lipstick but the reception staff were insisting them to be sindoor . It was a bit of hassle to convince the facility to change the bedsheet .

Excellent, worth for money.

The location of the hotel is the key point. I was able to visit Kalighat, Minto Park, Victoria memorial etc. and near by malls as well within a radius of 7-8 Kms. About the hotel, right from reception, staffs were very cordial, helpful throughout our entire stay. In addition to that, the adjacent restaurant has got everything we needed. I made an ad-hoc request for chicken stew, which was not in their regular menu. But to my surprise, the chef prepared just for my kid. It really touched us.

The only thing annoyed me a bit was the wifi disconnection for a while at the beginning. Otherwise, I have nothing to complain "I didn't like".

Good place to stay for business/official trip.

Room was clean with clean linen and bathroom was clean, restaurant food was good. Very bright room. Interior design is done well.

Television was not working well. Maintenance team was not good. No toothbrushes kept. No hand towels kept. Old bath towels were provided. Room size is quite congested. No standard brand of drinking water .
